I don’t think it was bleed through. That was an attempt to control the argument regarding Sharpies & the Papermate markers supplied by the manufacturer & distributer who stated specifically the markers supplied were the ones that needed to be used on the website. It’s a good bet those arguing “bleed through” were ready to prove what they were saying. Look here not there.
Sharpies are alcohol & other chemicals based while the Papermate markers are water based. The difference is in the multiple authentication process for the ballots, one being a “sniff test”.
The machines are designed to sound an alarm when a ballot isn’t authenticated. Rather than shut the alarm off in the software, digital trace, disconnect the transducer then reconnect when voting ends.
Almost no trace depending on the type of connection. Print up a receipt for the voter then replace all unauthenticated Trump ballots w/ Biden ballots.
