The Whitmer Kidnapping Case Reveals The FBI’s New Counterterrorism Target Is You

What’s interesting about the revelations from this week is not that the FBI is up to some new, clever gambit to combat the wily insurrectionists in our midst.

By Matthew Braun

……So the FBI does the heavy lifting in these cases. The suspects start out by talking about jihad or revolution or overthrowing the government, and someone in their chat group decides he should tell the FBI.

The people the FBI sends in to look at the chats or communicate with the suspects aren’t just a fly on the wall. They offer to help. They offer bombs. They offer direction. They suggest targets.

They tell the suspects they need money for the cause. They ask them when they can fly to Syria or Iraq or wherever.

The Intercept did some marvelous reporting on this in 2017. They noted, quite correctly, that in hundreds and hundreds of cases the FBI and Department of Justice had brought to trial there were no victims of violence, and the FBI informants were the primary driving characters in the fictional worlds the suspects had been caught up in.

In case after case, it’s the FBI that creates the illusion of the ability to do harm. There are no bombs, no ability to launch an attack. There is no group ready to meet and support them, no weapons smugglers, or expert marksmen. There is only the anger of a lonely person screaming into the void of the internet, and the only one who answers that screaming is the FBI.

So what’s interesting about the revelations from this week is not that the FBI is up to some new, clever gambit to combat the wily insurrectionists in our midst. What is interesting is they are right back to pulling the same tricks they used on wannabe al-Qaeda and ISIS dopes for the last 15 years.

Why is the assistant director of the FBI’s Washington Field Office—Anthony D’Antuono, who is heading the investigation into the January 6 riot at the capitol and was previously in charge of the Detroit Field Office—doing these things? He’s never known another way. He had been an FBI agent only three years on 9/11, and all that time he was a forensic accountant. This is how the FBI has run these kinds of investigations his entire career.

The problem is not that we’re going to find out that the January 6 case is going to be full of FBI agents and informants, just like the Whitmer kidnapping case. The problem is we are starting to understand this is standard procedure for counterterrorism. This is a 20-year-old charade the FBI brass has been pulling.

The FBI didn’t let the crisis of 9/11 go to waste—they seized on it to dramatically increase their funding and power. They suddenly took the “lead” on terrorism all over the United States. Before 9/11, they had treated terrorism as an ugly footnote. The people on the USS Cole bombing case remember working out of basement offices, part-time, as al-Qaeda grew more powerful, better funded, and trained hundreds of people in Afghanistan.

Once the FBI was in charge, there were lots of new GS-15 positions, offices to fill, and money to spend—and boy, did they. In 2001, the FBI wanted $1.5 billion for counterterrorism and only got $500 million. In 2002, they asked for $200 million more. In 2003, they asked for $285 more. And so on. The total FBI budget was about $3.5 billion in 2002. It’s more than $10 billion today.

Now, 20 years later, with Osama bin Laden dead and the United States leaving Afghanistan, do we think those GS-15 positions, or those Joint Terrorism Task Forces, or the Foreign Terrorist Tracking Task Force, are going to go away? No. They need work to justify those budgets, and America needs a new enemy.

The difference is that the government has begun to use the tools that were developed to fight a credible foreign threat now to fight against the political opponents of Democrats.

Since I joined the Navy 15 years ago, much has changed.I'm now required to affirm that a man who has mutilated his penis is a genuine woman in order to keep my job. Here's a thread on how we got here.

1/x

I suspect that if 15 years ago I'd suggested that a man could actually become a woman or that the military should get into the genital mutilation business, I'd have been sent for psychological evaluation and perhaps separated.

2/x

That's how far we've come in a decade and a half: a complete and absolute inversion of what we knew to be true just a few years ago. But things change quickly. People in power shift their positions overnight.

3/x

Recall that candidate Barack Obama believed marriage was exclusive to a man and a woman. Second term President Barack Obama mentioned the Stonewall riots and transgenderism glowingly in his second Inaugural Address.

4/x

The same is true of military leaders. For those of you in the civilian world, it really is hard to explain to you just what sort of god-like fear, awe, and respect these men command, to say nothing of the material rewards.

5/x

If you don't think those are powerful hooks sunk deep into their skin, think again. They've spent lifetimes scraping and sweating to get where they are, and they're not eager to see it disturbed.

6/x

What began with an oath to "support and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic" has become a luxuriant career that makes them rich and stokes their egos into bonfires.

7/x

So when policies like this one demanding everyone play along with the delusions of the mentally ill are issued, none of them says a word. Worse yet, they've been trained to pretend they agree.

8/x

9/x

It's worth noting that the new generation of military members may have been duped into believing a man in a dress and a wig is actually a woman, but these men know better.

10/x

Or do you believe that every one of these 50 and 60-year-old men suddenly realized that they'd been wrong all along? That Bradley Manning isn't a traitor and that Chelsea Manning is a hero? Be serious.

11/x

The only thing worse than men crazy enough to believe this nonsense is men cowardly enough to pretend they do. And that's what they're doing. They're pretending in order to protect the careers they love so dearly.

12/x

Let's be clear: if you believe a man can become a woman, you're as mentally ill as the men in heels, only you have no excuse. They're suffering a debilitating psychological disorder. You've merely been deceived.

13/x

But again, these men don't really believe it. They are motivated by varying combinations of a desire to get promoted and a fear of getting fired. Those are their primary skill sets and chief character traits.

14/x

These are the men paid lavishly to defend our nation in case of war. Men who don't have the spine to speak an obvious yet suddenly unspeakable truth. Men who will force out of service everyone who isn't also a coward in order to maintain uniformity.

Part 2 of 2

In March, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that a professor at a public university cannot be compelled to use transgender pronouns. Here's hoping the DoD takes notice and backs away from these policies.

16/x

jurist.org/news/2021/03/f…

17/x

Not that only religious people should be free of the pronoun tyranny, but don't think the DoD is at all concerned with its members' constitutionally guaranteed right to the free exercise of religion.

18/x

I've spoken to very senior members of the military - people in genuine decision making positions - and the response has been "Get in line with the new policy or get out of the military."

19/x

I'm deeply ashamed to admit it, but in 15 years I've never heard a single officer say something like "We just received a new policy directive. How are we going to interpret and implement it in light of the Constitution?"

20/x

Our oath to the Constitution has become just another string of meaningless words we say for the sake of tradition. The men at the helm have sold themselves for the most extravagant life your tax dollars can afford.

21/x

In short, my continued employment in the Navy relies upon my willingness to show up everyday and publicly proclaim that the sky is green with pink polka dots. I'm not going to do that.

22/x

For the record, I'm still more likely to say the sky is green with pink polka dots than I am that a man has become a woman. Why? There's a tiny chance the sky could do that one day. Not so for the man.

23/x

It's bad enough to think that the people responsible for our national defense are insane enough to believe the most obvious lie. It's far worse to know that they don't but have been cowered into saying it anyhow.

24/x

And for everyone who'll call me "transphobic," it's not a "phobia." I'm as scared of "trans" people as I am of the boogeyman. That is, I don't fear things that don't exist.

25/x

Don't get me wrong: the men and women suffering this delusion exist, but as the men and women they are. And I wish them only recovery from what ails them. I'd no sooner hate a cancer patient than someone suffering this disease.

26/x

The Soviets mastered the craft of demoralization: forcing people to tell lies they knew were lies. Why? Because each lie you tell chips away at your moral standing until you have no standing to resist whatsoever

27/x

If the most senior people charged with our defense can be convinced to publicly humiliate themselves by pretending men with festering wounds where their penises used to be are genuine women, our demoralization is complete.

28/x

And if they'll fall in line for a lie this obviously absurd, I doubt there's much they'll stand up against.

Be very afraid for your security with people more concerned with their comfort than integrity, sanity, and reality itself running the show.

29/x

Jackie Mason, Comic Who Perfected Amused Outrage, Dies at 93

Breitbart News25 Jul 2021

NEW YORK (AP) — Jackie Mason, a rabbi-turned-comedian whose feisty brand of standup comedy led him to Catskills nightclubs, West Coast talk shows and Broadway stages, has died. He was 93.

Mason died Saturday at 6 p.m. ET at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan after being hospitalized for over two weeks, the celebrity lawyer Raoul Felder told The Associated Press.

The irascible Mason was known for his sharp wit and piercing social commentary, often about being Jewish, men and women and his own inadequacies. His typical style was amused outrage.

“Eighty percent of married men cheat in America. The rest cheat in Europe,” he once joked. Another Mason line was: “Politics doesn’t make strange bedfellows, marriage does.” About himself, he once said: “I was so self-conscious, every time football players went into a huddle; I thought they were talking about me.”

His death was mourned far and wide, from fellow comedian Gilbert Gottfried, who called him “one of the best,” to Fox News Channel personality Sean Hannity, who hailed Mason as “irreverent, iconoclastic, funny, smart and a great American patriot.” Henry Winkler tweeted: “Now you get to make heaven laugh.”

Mason was born Jacob Maza, the son of a rabbi. His three brothers became rabbis. So did Mason, who at one time had congregations in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Comedy eventually proved to be a more persistent calling than God.

Former President Donald Trump criticized the Green New Deal proposal from Democrats on Saturday as the“Green New Bullshit.”

“The Green New Deal, going to destroy our country, this Green New Deal. It’s green new bullshit,” Trump said. “That’s what it is. It’s bullshit.”

The former president spoke about the “Green New Deal” during a speech in Arizona at Turning Point Action.

Trump said the proposal would try to use taxpayer money to retrofit buildings and get rid of windows to make them more energy-efficient.

“Oh great. Well, that sounds good,” Trump said mockingly. “These people are crazy.”

The “Green New Deal” is a radical government spending idea first proposed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Sen. Ed Markey, (D-MA) in 2019.

Trump mocked the left for their concerns that cows were a threat to the environment for their farts emitting too much methane.

“Whatever happened to cows, remember they were going to get rid of all the cows?” Trump asked.

He noted that even the left had to quiet down on that rhetoric, as eliminating beef was deeply unpopular.

“They stopped that, people didn’t like that. Remember?” he said. “You know why they were going to get rid of all the cows?”

He suggested that the left would even try to get rid of people to reduce emissions.

“People will be next,” he said. “People will be in there.”
