"I think the total agreement really satisfies the need of First Nations across Canada," she told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. "It was designed to do that, and specifically ensure that every community gets access to clean water. There's a recognition that individuals have suffered harms from not having access to clean water."

60 Minutes reporter Tom Steinfort risks imprisonment with new book on Dubai's missing princesses

The journalist has authored a book called The Sins of the Sheikh, an investigation into allegations Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum had locked up his two daughters Princess Latifa and Shamsa.

He told 9news.com.au he'd never be able to go back to Dubai.

"Not in a million years," Steinfort said.

Steinfort has no doubt that Latifa is still alive, saying there's too much international pressure for her to be killed now.

He said this pressure is what's needed for her and Shamsa to be released.

"The pressure is never going to come from within, the pressure had to come from overseas," Steinfort said. "There's two fronts to that. "People power, just the average person who says, 'you know what, I'm not going to holiday in Dubai or fly Emirates'.

"The bigger one, of course, is political leaders have to stop cosying up to Sheikh Mohammed and the regime in Dubai. "There comes a time when you can no longer look away." Steinfort's book The Sins of the Sheikh will be released on August 3.
