I agree that nothing could be something. But how would 'nothing' stop what is coming. What is nothing? If you say that Death is nothing or rather being nothing, how does that stop what is coming?
I've considered a giant body passing by Earth, maybe far enough away we can't see it. It's pulling on Earth's magnetic field. Pulling and pulling and pulling, trying to break free. Earth is like a compass, the needle pointing to the force of the celestial body. As they pass further from each other, finally one breaks free and the compass needle suddenly springs back to North and we are free of its influence.
