INFANT FORMULA RECALL

Able Groupe says it is recalling certain products used as infant formulas.

The recalled products are infant formulas (i.e., products intended as a complete or partial substitute for human milk for children 12 months old and younger), but the required pre-market notifications for these new infant formulas have not been submitted to the FDA. In addition, the HiPP Comfort Milk Formula, HiPP Dutch Stage 1 Combiotic Infant Milk Formula, HiPP HA Germany Hypoallergenic Stage PRE Combiotic Infant Milk Formula, HiPP German Stage 1 Combiotic Infant Milk Formula, Holle Bio Stage 1 Organic Infant Milk Formula, Holle Bio Stage PRE Organic Infant Milk Formula, Lebenswert Anfangsmilch Stage 1 Organic Infant Milk Formula, and HiPP UK Stage 1 Combiotic First Infant Milk Formula products contain less than 1 milligram of iron per 100 Calories and may not provide adequate iron for some infants, particularly infants born prematurely or with a low birth weight, those who had low iron levels at birth, or those who are at risk for becoming iron deficient due to illness.

Inadequate intake of iron during infancy may lead to iron deficiency anemia, which, if untreated, has irreversible cognitive and functional development outcomes. Infant formula products that contain less than 1 milligram of iron per 100 Calories are required to include a statement on the label indicating that additional iron may be necessary. These 8 infant formula product labels do not include the required statement.

Furthermore, all of the infant formulas distributed by Able Group are not labeled as required by 21 CFR 107.10 and 107.20 and do not bear mandatory labeling statements in English.

The products were imported from Europe and distributed to consumers in the U.S. via mail services.

Catholic parents of 7 face jail for placing 2 vax-resistance stickers outside small town library

This family’s plight is the proverbial ‘canary in the coal mine’ for the entire nation: If a devout Catholic family can suffer COVID-19 mask & vax persecution in their tiny Midwest town, it can happen anywhere and to anyone.

A Midwest small town drama with significance for the entire nation is about to reach its climax as a Catholic mom and dad —disabled military combat veterans, parents of 7 home-schooled children — are about to be sent to jail in retaliation for refusing to wear masks at their local public library and for allegedly placing two small stickers on public property next to the library encouraging others to resist heavy-handed COVID-induced government controls.

This family’s plight is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for the entire nation. If a devout Catholic family can suffer COVID-19 mask & vaccine persecution in this tiny Midwest town, it can happen anywhere and to anyone.

Sam and Julie Dean are raising their large family on their homestead outside Plain City, Ohio.

The drama began in January when Julie and her 11-year-old daughter — both maskless — walked into the local public library to pick up books they had on reserve. Library employees refused to serve Julie and her daughter unless they donned masks despite the library’s website COVID-19 recommendations, which say only “Wear a mask if you are able.”

When Julie did not comply and refused to leave without the books, library workers called in police who escorted Julie and her daughter out of the building and informed her: “If you come back to the library, you’re going to be arrested for trespassing.”

In March, Sam and Julie were accused of placing two small, removable stickers on the backs of a “Do Not Enter” traffic sign and a freestanding curbside pick-up box, both located on public property outside the library.  One of the stickers, about half the size of a standard index card, read: “LIVE IN FEAR, It makes you easier to control.”  The other, smaller than a bumper sticker, said, “THERE IS NO PANDEMIC; Your own government is using psychological warfare on you.”

After several scheduled pre-trial hearings in which the county court system failed to provide an Americans with Disabilities (ADA) coordinator for the couple, Sam and Julie were each sentenced by the judge to 90 days in jail, reduced to 2 days.  Additionally, the judge ruled that Sam and Julie must pay court costs and fees totaling $1,300 each, plus do 20 hours of community service and be on probation for one year.

The sentencing, which took place on July 29, requires Sam and Julie to report to the county jail for their 2-day sentences within 30 days.  Time is running out for them to appeal their convictions.

Rand Paul rips into 'leftwing cretins' at YouTube after being suspended over COVID videos

Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky lashed out at the "leftwing cretins" at YouTube after he was suspended on the platform over videos he published about the coronavirus.

"A badge of honor," Paul tweeted on Tuesday from his official social media account.

"Leftwing cretins at Youtube banning me for 7 days for a video that quotes 2 peer reviewed articles saying cloth masks don't work," he added.

YouTube had previously removed a video Paul had posted of an interview of him on Newsmax. He excoriated the video website while speaking to reporters about his weeklong suspension.

"They are now banning all my speech, including speech that is given on the Senate floor, which is protected constitutional," said Paul. "YouTube now thinks they are smart enough and godly enough that they can oversee speech, even constitutionally protected speech."

The second video that was taken down included Paul's criticism of YouTube and a defense of his comments questioning the efficacy of masks.

"Saying cloth masks work, when they don't, actually risks lives, as someone may choose to care for a loved one with COVID while only wearing a cloth mask. This is not only bad advice but also potentially deadly misinformation," Paul reportedly said in the video.

YouTube said the videos violated their community guidelines.

Paul has been an outspoken critic of mask mandates and pandemic lockdowns. He has called for Americans to resist and ignore the social distancing guidelines suggested by the CDC and implemented by some states.

"We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy, and children?" asked Paul.

Others have criticized Paul's comments at a time when coronavirus infections are spiking among those who are unvaccinated. In Kentucky, new infections spiked to a seven-day average of 2,000 on Tuesday after having dropped to 125 new cases in June.
