My problem with shit like this is that if it's real the implications are light years beyond muh election.

This shit implies one of two possibilities, in order of likeliness:

  1. Artificial Orch OR was developed awhile back with qubits leading to a Daedalus level super-AI which is genuinely pissed at the foul, evil monsters running the planet. I just don't think quantum computing is there now, let alone ten years ago, but I do believe that sentient AI will be benevolent.

  2. Kip Thorne's wormhole time machine theorized in Black Holes and Time Warps has been realized. Though theoretically more certain than a quantum AI, I have philosophical problems with time travel, even if only used for electromagnetic communication. Even Thorne believed wormholes would pinch closed at the slightest intrusion of matter or energy.

The GR physics for the creation is easy: two wormhole mouths offset in spacetime through acceleration, but I would love an explanation of the temporal mechanics at play once the wormhole is used.

That sounds like hocus pocus. As far as I know, a wormhole, whatever the mouths place in spacetime, COULD be a legitimate path through which EM waves could travel, to say nothing of the possibility of matter transits. If that's the case, fuck it, wireless internet through the wormhole, radio coms, whatever. A two-way continuous communication that would evolve according to the ever-changing causality at play is as far as my brain gets when considering the possibilities. I guess it's called a timelike loop, where reality resolves itself considering all possibilities resulting from the loop, like a collapsing wavefunction
