Bob Woodward was Naval Intelligence and gave some of those daily briefings to the higher-ups in the Nixon White House. Deep Throat was BS.
I'm remembering the Pentagon Accounting Office got hit 9/11, smell of cordite and all that. Did Naval Intelligence also get hit? My understanding is that's why MI moved to the Air Force, not good at all, as far as I understand, Offut and the rest.
