Atheism is a bit like a computer program denying hypervisors, threads, processes, operating systems, and virtual machines. Higher order systems are a thing, and assuming metaphysics is the empty set is just an axiom. Personally I see myself as ignostic, as belief in anything undefinable and mysterious is problematic for me. I can definitely relate to “that which connects all things that can be causally related including causality itself”, and if you want to give it a name, go for it.
