Snags, unfortunately. It may require moving to a new state. SD is looking good but we shall see. In the meantime, not using utilities as much as possible. I’m loving my solar oven and grain mill (hand), so there’s that! :)

Definitely try to make one first. I tried, failed many times (couldn’t get a tight seal) and eventually bought the “sun oven” brand from IL. It’s gotten to 400* and can even dehydrate.

 

I cannot impress upon anons enough to have a minimum of two ways each to get basic needs to survive. Learning a skill daily, memorizing it or writing it down is key, as is figuring out needs vs wants.

 

Glad you’re looking into things and yes, FL would be amazing. I can dream. Salt of the earth people down there.
