Never knew about solar ovens…now I've even looked over plans for them. Even have the paint, etcetera… I'm sure you're familiar with Will Prowse of DIY Solar…excellent resource..austistic and bright…like this place. Quirky, but with the right stuff. Could be an awesome Anon. When you're done with the frostbite addiction, look into Florida where we still take our freedom with a side of moar freedom. Probably a bit different from the Comada border region.
Once you load the U-Haul, every state is just a few days away. Winter is coming. Go where it lasts a few days, a few times a year. That $500 sun oven would work like a nuclear reactor with the Florida sun. It'll cook you without any oven.
Florida peeps, especially the natives and interior folks are salt of the earth…kinda the pink crazy salt, but good souls. Never have to shovel sunshine.

About 40 years ago on a camping trip in the badlands, I walked out on one of those narrow ridges to its end and sat down with canyons all around me and watched the sunrise. Still sticks with me. And I've met the sunrise in many, many beautiful places thousands of times…on purpose. You have excellent taste, the badlands canyons are an especially spiritual place in a land full of many.
