I live in the flight path of DFW Airport. The jets going into/out of the airport do NOT leave lingering trails
But there are other planes flying much higher which criss cross the sky early in the morning and after dark - and sometimes during the day - which leave the streaks which eventually turn my sky grey on many days. Other days they just leave streaks but don't cover the whole sky
