CNN’s Chris Cuomo Accused of Sexually Harassing Female Producer at Work Party in Front of Her Husband, Co-Workers

CNN’s Chris Cuomo was accused of sexually harassing a female producer at a work party in 2005 in front of her husband!

In a New York Times opinion piece, Shelley Ross, the former executive producer at ABC News revealed Chris Cuomo grabbed her butt without her permission.

“At the time, I was the executive producer of an ABC entertainment special, but I was Mr. Cuomo’s executive producer at ‘Primetime Live’ just before that,” she wrote. “I was at the party with my husband, who sat behind me on an ottoman sipping his Diet Coke as I spoke with work friends. When Mr. Cuomo entered the Upper West Side bar, he walked toward me and greeted me with a strong bear hug while lowering one hand to firmly grab and squeeze the cheek of my buttock.”

Shelley Ross said Cuomo was very arrogant when she told him to keep his paws off of her.

“’I can do this now that you’re no longer my boss,’” he said to me with a kind of cocky arrogance. “’No you can’t,’” I said, pushing him off me at the chest while stepping back, revealing my husband, who had seen the entire episode at close range. We quickly left.”

In June 2005, Cuomo sent Shelley Ross an email saying he was ashamed of what he did.

“Though my hearty greeting was a function of being glad to see you … Christian Slater got arrested for a (kind of) similar act (though borne of an alleged negative intent, unlike my own) … and as a husband I can empathize with not liking to see my wife patted as such,” Cuomo wrote. “So pass along my apology to your very good and noble husband … and I apologize to you as well, for ever putting you in such a position.”

“Next time, I will remember the lesson, no matter how happy I am to see you,” he added.

“Mr. Cuomo may say this is a sincere apology. I’ve always seen it as an attempt to provide himself with legal and moral coverage to evade accountability,” Shelley Ross said.

“I never thought that Mr. Cuomo’s behavior was sexual in nature. Whether he understood it at the time or not, his form of sexual harassment was a hostile act meant to diminish and belittle his female former boss in front of the staff,” she added.

Cuomo justified his actions because it was in a “public setting” and happened 16 years ago.

“As Shelley acknowledges, our interaction was not sexual in nature. It happened 16 years ago in a public setting when she was a top executive at ABC. I apologized to her then, and I meant it,” Chris Cuomo said in a statement.

Sleaziness runs in the family.

Chris Cuomo’s brother Andrew Cuomo was thrown out as New York’s governor after countless women came forward and said they were sexually assaulted by him.

‘WISCONSIN HOT’ – Grassroots Group Uncovers 23,000 Votes with Same Phone Number and 8,000 Voters Registered in 1918 All In One County!

A group in Wisconsin that goes by the name of Wisconsin HOT (Honest Open and Transparent) released a telegram where they ask Wisconsin election officials why over 23,ooo individuals in Wisconsin’s voter roles have the same phone number? Here is their note.

Attn: Meagan Wolfe of The Wisconsin Election Commission

Tara Coolidge City Clerk of Racine

Lisa Tollefson Clerk of Rock County and

All SIX Wisconsin Board of Commissioners

Sept. 22, 2021

We demand your immediate resignations for lying to us all about the happenings of the November 3, 2020 election.

Why are there 23,203 voters registered right now in Racine County all with the same phone number? There are another 63 registered statewide with this same number. Why didn’t you know this? The same 23,263 were registered last year on your voter registration list proving you didn’t even know.

Tell us who owns the phone number. It is a 262-9XX-XXXX number. It does no good to search it on google or other search method as hundreds, even thousands, of different names show up; these are innocent people who don’t even know their names have been associated with the number.

Meagan Wolfe: why are there forty-five more same phone numbers registered to about nine hundred different registered voters? Why didn’t you know this, for years? Tell us who owns the phone numbers.

A list will be mailed to the Board. Tell us when it was assigned to each of these 23,203 voters in Racine County…with more voters across the state.

Tara Coolidge: how could you not know about this phone number assigned to that many people? 95% of them are in your jurisdiction. Why are you on extended leave right now? If you did nothing wrong, come talk to us and we will help you.

Lisa Tollefson: why are there over 900 registered voters in your County with the exact same address?

Why are there over 8,550 registered voters in your County registered in the year 1918?

It is a default you say, who keeps such a shoddy database? We demand you to require all of these people to re-register.

Meagan Wolfe: why did you repeatedly lie to the Wisconsin Board of Commissioners over years? You lied to all of us at your dog and pony show on September 8 falsely claiming all is safe and secure with our elections.

Commissioners: why don’t you know about these 23,200+ people with the exact same phone number?

Why didn’t you know about 543,000 people registered for the year 1918? A voter registration list isn’t kept like that, it is ludicrous.

When are you going to re-register all these people so their date of registration is known?

SIX commissioners: did you know there are 543,000 on your list without a date of registration? Why not? What steps are you taking to correct this major error? A database is not run like that, in particular one which is used for casting votes. The source for all this information is WEC’s own database.

End WEC now! It has been a complete failure and absolute mess. They have constantly violated state statutes and citizens constitutional rights.

Signed,

Volunteer No. 1776

To date the group has received no response from the state. It’s doubtful Republican Speaker Vos will do anything. The people of Wisconsin will have to uncover the fraud in Wisconsin themselves.

CDC Director Overrules Science Advisory Panel, Backs Boosters For 'High-Risk' Workers

In line with the recommendations made by the scientist-based CDC advisory panel (ACIP) earlier on Thursday, the CDC endorsed COVID vaccine booster shots for Americans 65 and older, residents of nursing homes, and adults aged 18 to 64 with underlying health conditions.

But that didn't go far enough apparently for the far more politically-controlled CDC itself as late last night CDC director Rochelle Walensky went beyond ACIP’s recommendation by urging boosters for individuals allegedly at high risk because of their jobs - which was left entirely undefined (we look forward to the union in-fighting over which jobs are 'at-risk').

Notably, the CDC advisory panel, made up of independent medical experts, broke with the FDA on that recommendation in a split decision on Thursday.

The panel specifically said it was concerned the move could send mixed messages about the vaccines, which are incredibly effective at preventing severe illness.

Chairman, CEO Of China's HNA Group Arrested For "Suspected Crime"

Three years after the the chairman of China's failed conglomerate HNA Group Wang Jian died during a business trip in France on July 3 in what local police then said appeared to be an accidental fall from a wall while posing for a photograph, moments ago HNA Group - which was one of the biggest Chinese corporate failures and has been restructuring its operations after a $50 billion merger spree in the mid 2010s led to the company's insolvency - reported on its official WeChat account that the the company's current Chairman Chen Feng was "taken away" by police due to suspected criminal offenses. HNA's CEO Tan Xiangdong was also taken away by police for suspected crime, it added.

The statement did not say what the crime is but clarified that HNA's operations are unaffected and that its bankruptcy and restructuring is moving forward smoothly.

As Bloomberg notes, once a prominent shareholder of firms like Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. and Deutsche Bank AG, HNA is the embodiment of a short-lived era when Chinese conglomerates expanded aggressively with global acquisitions fueled by debt.

Weighed by more than $75 billion of debt even after shedding assets, the group’s core aviation business suffered during the coronavirus pandemic, triggering the government of Hainan to move in and take charge in February last year. A key Communist Party-led committee at HNA left Chen, its founder, off a list of members earlier this year, signaling he was in trouble. The party committee was taken over by Gu Gang, leader of a government-appointed working group overseeing the company’s liquidity risk.

Chen Feng became chairman of HNA shortly after the bizarre death of the company's previous Chairman Wang Jian. And as we wait to learn some more about the fate - or crimes - of the company's top two officials, we remind readers of some more details surrounding the mysterious death in July 2018 of HNA's former Chairman Wang Jian died when he fell 15 meters off a wall in the village of Bonnieux, near Avignon, a picturesque area popular with tourists, lieutenant-colonel Hubert Meriaux of the Vaucluse gendarmerie force told Reuters.

“He stood on the edge of a sharp drop to get his family to take a picture of him and fell,” he said.

His death complicated the troubled conglomerate’s efforts to restructure and pay off borrowings.

Wang’s death couldn’t have come at a worse time, said Brock Silvers, founder and managing director of Kaiyuan Capital, a Shanghai-based investment advisory firm.

“Deleveraging pressures on HNA continue to be enormous, and all such plans will probably now be revisited as the management team reconstitutes itself,” he said.

Wang told employees earlier this year that the company’s difficulties were the result of a “major conspiracy” against the ruling Communist Party and President Xi Jinping by foreign and domestic “reactionary forces”, according to an internally-distributed email.

Wang was regarded as the architect of an eye-popping $50 billion acquisition spree that saw HNA accumulate assets ranging from a stake in Deutsche Bank AG to high-profile overseas properties. Under pressure from Beijing, HNA has since sold off many of those assets to slash debt.

Facebook steps in to provide high-speed internet to broadband-starved rural Virginia – what could go wrong?

No longer satisfied with merely furnishing the content people view over their internet connections, Facebook plans to provide broadband service to thousands of Virginia customers through its massive fiber networks.

Already constructing enormous high-speed fiber networks to connect its sprawling data centers in Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina, Facebook plans to overlay consumer broadband for some 6,000 homes in Virginia’s Grayson County onto that infrastructure by the end of the fall, according to a Thursday blog post.

The Appalachian county is “one of the least connected counties in Virginia,” with 57% of its inhabitants starved of broadband, according to the post. Facebook plans to work with Virginia ISP GigaBeam Networks to connect those internet-deprived households to the high-speed lines it has already built in the area.

The notion of putting censor-happy Facebook in charge of people’s internet connections – increasingly their lifeline to both work and play in the socially distanced post-Covid world – may strike many as reckless, however.

READ THE NAMES: 135 Republicans Vote With Democrats To Advance ‘Red Flag’ Gun Confiscation Bill As Part Of NDAA

Republicans fall for classic Democrat trick to include controversial legislation in a bill to fund the troops

This morning the United States House of Representatives voted to advance legislation that will allow police to confiscate firearms of individuals believed to be a threat to themselves or others, known as Red Flag Laws, that became highly controversial during the Trump administration due to fears they would be abused. The anti-Second Amendment bill, which soared through the U.S. House and will now head to the Senate, had the bipartisan support of 135 Republican representatives.

While many of those who voted alongside Democrats are not surprising to many, others portray themselves as America First candidates who seek to realize President Donald Trump’s agenda. Among these are Reps. Matt Gaetz, Madison Cawthorn, Elise Stefanik, Devin Nunes, Ronny Jackson, President Trump’s former White House doctor, and Greg Pence, the brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, as well as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Other Republicans who voted for the Red Flag Law gun confiscation bill include many of President Trump’s opponents, including those who voted for impeachment. Among these are Reps. Herrera-Beutler, Dan Newhouse, Fred Upton, Peter Meijer, John Katko, Dave Valado, Adam Kinzinger, and Liz Cheney.

As is typical for Democrat presidents, the Red Flag Law gun confiscation legislation was folded into the often-controversial National Defense Authorization Act bill for 2021, which funds the United States Armed Forces. Typically, Democrats use this bill – which is politically costly for Republicans to avoid assenting to – to ram unpopular legislation through the U.S. House.

In 2012, many Republicans faced similar outcry from voters after they voted for Barack Obama’s 2012 NDAA, which Obama signed into law in December of 2011. The 2012 NDAA legalized the indefinite detainment and detention of American citizens, and made it illegal to protest at an event where Secret Service was present. Many Republicans defended their vote by claiming it was necessary to make sure active duty troops would receive their pay. The ACLU slammed the Obama regime for the law at the time.

California Governor Signs Laws Aimed at Ensuring Access to Abortion

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday signed two laws that are meant to make sure women have access to abortion.

California Assembly Bill 1356 boosts penalties for crimes established by the California Freedom of Access to Clinic Act, including posting the home address or home telephone number of abortion providers. The bill elevates the crimes from a misdemeanor to a felony and makes it so those who violate the law face more jail time and higher fines.

Violators used to face up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $2,500. They now face up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $10,000, as well as a fine of up to $50,000 if the violation leads to an injury.

The bill also creates new offenses for recording or photographing patients or providers within 100 feet of the entrance to an abortion clinic.

The other law, California Assembly Bill 1184, prohibits health insurers in many cases from sharing information on people who obtain “sensitive services,” including abortion.

“The reason we needed it is at this time when a patient is on someone else’s health insurance, such as a parent or a spouse, there has unfortunately been a real risk that insurers send communications about sensitive health services such as reproductive care, gender affirming care, substance abuse care, mental health care to the policyholder, instead of the patient,” state Assemblyman David Chiu, a Democrat who sponsored the bill, said during a virtual press conference.

Newsom, a Democrat who just survived a recall battle, said new laws protecting access to abortion are critical, especially in light of anti-abortion legislation being passed in states like Texas and the looming Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade.

“God forbid Roe is overturned,” Newsom said during the briefing, adding later that “we’re reaffirming the constitutionally protected fundamental rights of women to have the safe and accessible reproductive and sexual health care that they deserve.”

The bills drew some pushback. All Republican state senators wrote to Newsom this month urging him to veto Assembly Bill 1184. They said it prevents parents from being informed when children as young as 12 receive medical services such as abortion.

“We should be encouraging parents and family to be involved in their children’s lives, not removing them further from it,” state Sen. Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh and the other lawmakers wrote.

The California Family Council also opposed the bill. Jonathan Keller, president of the group, said that an insurance policy owner “deserves to know what medical procedures they are paying for.”

Others spoke out in favor of the new laws.

“Access is grateful to our fellow advocates and the legislature for their commitment to ensuring California maintains its reputation as a reproductive freedom state,” said Jessica Pinckney, executive director of Access Reproductive Justice.

Joe Biden Berates Mounted Border Patrol Agents: ‘Those People Will Pay’

President Joe Biden berated American border patrol agents for using horses to confront migrants crossing into the United States on the Southern border, vowing they would be punished.

“To see people treated like they did, horses running them over and people getting strapped, it’s outrageous I promise you those people will pay,” Biden said, despite no publicly available evidence to back up his claims.

The photographer who took pictures of the border agents said he and his colleagues did not see agents whipping anyone.

The president spoke about the video and footage of the border agents on horses days after Democrats and civil rights activists voiced their fury over the incident along with other members of his administration.

The administration banned the use of horses at the border in response to the controversy and announced an investigation into the incident.

When asked if he took responsibility for the incident, Biden replied, “Of course I take responsibility I’m president.”

But Biden spent most of his time criticizing the officials who were trying to secure the border.

“There will be consequences, it’s an embarrassment, but it’s beyond an embarrassment it’s dangerous and wrong,” he said.

Biden appeared upset by the criticisms of his handling of the migrant crisis, some critics even comparing his policies to former President Donald Trump.

China 'must be prepared to make the FIRST nuclear strike' in response to growing US presence in the region and AUKUS strategic partnership, senior diplomat declares

China must be ready to use nuclear weapons and should abandon its 'no-first-use' policy to push back against new alliances forming in the Pacific, a senior diplomat has said.

Sha Zukang, the country's former ambassador to the UN, told a summit of Chinese nuclear policy experts that it is time to 're- examine and fine-tune' a long-standing commitment to only use nukes in retaliation as the US 'builds new military alliances and as it increases its military presence in our neighbourhood.'

Beijing's current policy - which has been in place since the 1960s - has given China the 'moral high ground' but 'is not suitable . . . unless China-US negotiations agree that neither side would use [nuclear weapons] first,' he said at a meeting in Beijing last week.

Zukang's comments - which come as China builds hundreds of new nuclear missile silos - are significant because Beijing often floats changes of policy through senior diplomats. The body he was speaking to - the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association - is officially independent, but has strong ties to the Communist party.

He spoke in the same week the US announced a major new alliance with the UK and Australia - dubbed AUKUS - to provide the latter with its first nuclear-powered submarines, a major technological advancement that is clearly designed to counter-balance Chinese power in the Pacific.

Zukang's warning also comes in the wake of another alliance between the US, India, Japan and Australia - dubbed the Quad - with Joe Biden set to host the first in-person summit of leaders today. While the four are cooperating on a range of security issues, the growing threat from China is at the top of the agenda.

China became a nuclear power in 1964 with its first successful test of a bomb, and adopted its 'no-first-use' policy four years later. It states that Beijing will never be the first to use nukes in a conflict, but will use them if struck first.

It mirrors a policy that Russia implemented between 1982 and 1993, though abandoned due to fears that the weakened state of its army following the break-up of the Soviet Union could encourage an attack by the US.

The US has a policy to never use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against a majority of other nations including all those without nuclear weapons - but has exempted China, Russia and North Korea from the policy.

Global nuclear policy is rapidly changing as a number of Cold War-era treaties - notably New START and the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty - expire, with Washington hoping to renegotiate them to include China.

Costco brings back purchase limits on toilet paper, cleaning supplies and more

Costco Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said the retailer is bringing back purchase limits on household essentials such as toilet paper, bottled water and cleaning supplies.

The membership-only warehouse chain said it wants to make sure those items stay on shelves as it copes with supply chain challenges, from shipping delays to truck driver shortages.

The retailer saw strong demand for home furnishings, sporting goods and jewelry in the fiscal fourth quarter — even selling some rings in the $100,000 range, Galanti said.

Costco Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said Thursday the company wants to make sure it has essential items at stores, even as shipping delays and truck driver shortages make it hard to keep them on shelves.

During an earnings call, he said the retailer is “putting some [purchase] limitations on key items.” Those include toilet paper, paper towels, bottled water and high-demand cleaning products. He did not specify how many of each item customers will be able to buy.

The new product limits are prompted by a different challenge than the ones in earlier phases of the pandemic, when stores saw unusually high demand for paper products and antibacterial wipes as customers stockpiled those goods.

“A year ago there was a shortage of merchandise,” Galanti said. “Now they’ve got plenty of merchandise but there’s two- or three-week delays on getting it delivered because there’s a limit on short-term changes to trucking and delivery needs of the suppliers, so it really is all over the board.”

The membership-only warehouse chain beat analysts’ expectations on Thursday for the fiscal fourth quarter, which ended Aug. 29. Yet, Galanti said, the pandemic has challenged Costco’s supply chain and increased its costs, as it has at other retailers.

Costco is placing earlier orders to get what it needs, Galanti said. He added the company has chartered three ocean vessels for the next year to transport containers between Asia and the U.S. and Canada. Each ship can carry 800 to 1,000 containers at a time, he said.

As early as August, there had been some social media posts about product limitations for some of its private-label products. This week, the retailer warned some customers that they may see delays when they placed an online order for toilet paper — a household item that has become synonymous with stockpiling. That delay was first reported by Fox Business, which saw it mentioned in a purchase order confirmation email.

Galanti said on Thursday that demand was strong for jewelry, home furnishings, pharmacy and sporting goods during the latest three-month period. He said the retailer — best known for big and bulky — “sold a couple of rings in the $100,000 range.”

Costco’s shares were up less than 1% on Thursday evening. As of the market’s close, the stock had gained 20% this year, bringing its market value to $200.16 billion.

House Passes Massive $778 Billion NDAA, Adding $25 Billion to Biden’s Request

The House on Thursday passed a massive National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2022 that adds billions to the original budget requested by President Biden. In total, the NDAA allocates $778 billion for military spending, a $25 billion increase from the $753 billion requested by Biden.

The NDAA passed easily in a vote of 316 to 113, with 38 Democrats and 75 Republicans voted against the bill. The Senate still needs to pass its version of the spending bill, and then the two chambers will negotiate the NDAA that will go to President Biden’s desk in conference committee.

The Senate’s version will also include a $25 billion increase, which was approved in July by the Senate Armed Services Committee. Initially, Republican hawks went after Biden for his $753 billion request, claiming it was not enough to counter China. But ultimately, the boost in funding had bipartisan approval.

Efforts to reduce the budget overwhelmingly failed. Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) led an amendment that would have cut the Pentagon’s budget by 10 percent was shot down in a vote of 86 to 332. Another amendment, sponsored by Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), would have limited the NDAA to what Biden requested, but that was voted rejected 142 to 286.

Other notable amendments that were voted on:

Yemen: An amendment to end all US support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen sponsored by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) was approved by 219 to 207. Another amendment to limit the servicing of Saudi warplanes led by Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) was approved by 223 to 204.

Syria: A measure by Rep. Jamal Bowman (D-NY) that would prohibit a US military presence in Syria without the approval of Congress was rejected in a vote of 141 to 286.

ICBMs: The House voted down an amendment sponsored by Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) that would have blocked funding for new intercontinental ballistic missile systems in a vote of 118 to 299.

Pentagon “Wish List”: Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) introduced an amendment that would have limited the Pentagon’s unfunded priority list that was defeated in a vote of 167 to 256.

Law Enforcement: The House rejected a measure sponsored by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) that would have reduced the amount of military equipment transferred to domestic law enforcement agencies.

Oklahoma dad hops into action when he sees man touching boy inappropriately at bus stop

The boy's father staked out the bus stop before tackling the suspect

A father in Oklahoma City tackled a local pastor who was seen inappropriately touching his son at a bus stop, leaving the suspect with a cracked skull and a bloody mugshot.

"There’s hardly any words that are camera appropriate," witness Lisa Ward said of the incident. "It’s just sickening."

Oklahoma City Police arrested the suspect, Michael Coghill, on Wednesday, after he was recorded on camera touching a nine-year-old boy at a bus stop and was confronted by the boy’s father, according to News9. The police department, however, could not confirm to Fox News that the boy's father was the one to confront the suspect due to the Open Records Act.

Local residents said that Coghill is a local pastor in the area.

Syrian Militants Bust PKK Cell With Turkish-Made Weapons In Turkish-Occupied Area

On September 24, the Turkish-backed Military Police in the occupied northern Syrian town of al-Bab announced that they had neutralized a “terrorist cell” of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in an operation carried out with support from the Syrian National Army’s 1st Corps.

In a statement, the Military Police claimed that the cell was smuggling weapons to areas held by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northeastern Syria.

Turkey supplied loads of HAR-66 rounds to its proxies in Syria. The weapon was also spotted in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib with several terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.

The HAR-66 is a copy of the US M72 LAW manufactured by Turkey’s Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, MKEK, under a license.

Opposition activists claim that the PKK is buying weapons from Greater Idlib and Turkish-occupied areas in northern Aleppo and shipping them to the SDF who later use them against Turkish-backed militants.

The weapons supplied by Turkey to rebels in Syria are now being used against the Turkish military and its proxies, who on their turn use weapons supplied by the US, like TOW anti-tank guided missiles, against US proxies in the war-torn country.
