Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) chose the pre-dawn hours Friday to announce he’s running for reelection in 2022 in what will be an eighth term in the upper chamber if he’s successful in Iowa’s U.S. Senate race.

Grassley, 88, made his intentions public on Twitter around 4 a.m., with a gif of him tackling a morning run.

“It’s 4 a.m. in Iowa so I’m running. I do that 6 days a week. Before I start the day I want you to know what Barbara and I have decided,” Grassley tweeted. “I’m running for re-election—a lot more to do, for Iowa. We ask and will work for your support. Will you join us?”

The Des Moines Register forecast the senator is set to join a number of campaign events Friday before appearing with Gov. Kim Reynolds (R), who is also seeking reelection, on Saturday.

Grassley will likely face former Rep. Abby Finkenauer (D-Iowa) in the general election and, as Breitbart News reported, his chances are looking good.

Four other intelligence agencies assessed with only low confidence that the first infection came through natural exposure. Though the lab-leak theory was widely dismissed in 2020, a growing number of scientists now say it is the most likely explanation for the outbreak.

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, which operates within the Defense Department, has awarded $37 million to EcoHealth since 2013, though the July grant was the first given during the Biden administration. The Trump and Biden administrations have investigated whether the Chinese government covered up evidence of a 2019 lab accident at the Wuhan Institute that may have caused the pandemic. CNN’s Chris Cuomo was accused of sexually harassing a female producer at a work party in 2005 in front of her husband!

In a New York Times opinion piece, Shelley Ross, the former executive producer at ABC News revealed Chris Cuomo grabbed her butt without her permission.

“At the time, I was the executive producer of an ABC entertainment special, but I was Mr. Cuomo’s executive producer at ‘Primetime Live’ just before that,” she wrote. “I was at the party with my husband, who sat behind me on an ottoman sipping his Diet Coke as I spoke with work friends. When Mr. Cuomo entered the Upper West Side bar, he walked toward me and greeted me with a strong bear hug while lowering one hand to firmly grab and squeeze the cheek of my buttock.”

Shelley Ross said Cuomo was very arrogant when she told him to keep his paws off of her.

“’I can do this now that you’re no longer my boss,’” he said to me with a kind of cocky arrogance. “’No you can’t,’” I said, pushing him off me at the chest while stepping back, revealing my husband, who had seen the entire episode at close range. We quickly left.”

In June 2005, Cuomo sent Shelley Ross an email saying he was ashamed of what he did.

“Though my hearty greeting was a function of being glad to see you … Christian Slater got arrested for a (kind of) similar act (though borne of an alleged negative intent, unlike my own) … and as a husband I can empathize with not liking to see my wife patted as such,” Cuomo wrote. “So pass along my apology to your very good and noble husband … and I apologize to you as well, for ever putting you in such a position.”

“Next time, I will remember the lesson, no matter how happy I am to see you,” he added.

“Mr. Cuomo may say this is a sincere apology. I’ve always seen it as an attempt to provide himself with legal and moral coverage to evade accountability,” Shelley Ross said.

“I never thought that Mr. Cuomo’s behavior was sexual in nature. Whether he understood it at the time or not, his form of sexual harassment was a hostile act meant to diminish and belittle his female former boss in front of the staff,” she added.

Cuomo justified his actions because it was in a “public setting” and happened 16 years ago.

“As Shelley acknowledges, our interaction was not sexual in nature. It happened 16 years ago in a public setting when she was a top executive at ABC. I apologized to her then, and I meant it,” Chris Cuomo said in a statement.

Sleaziness runs in the family.

Chris Cuomo’s brother Andrew Cuomo was thrown out as New York’s governor after countless women came forward and said they were sexually assaulted by him.

Cassandra Peterson — best known to the world as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark — released her new memoir Yours Cruelly, Elvira today and, in the process, came out by revealing her 19-year relationship with another woman, Teresa “T” Wierson.

It wasn’t until they had a chance encounter in the ladies room that she realized her “bad boy” was really a “bad girl” and the two soon became close, albeit platonically.

The friendship only became romantic following the end of Peterson’s 25-year marriage to (singer turned her manager) Mark Pierson. As Peterson tells it in her book, the path to a more serious connection began with Wierson arriving at her home one rainy night, also freshly out of a relationship. “There on the doorstep stood my trainer, T, holding a trash bag full of her belongings, looking sad and bedraggled. She’d split from her longtime partner, spent some time in rehab, and now had no place to go.”

Tell us who owns the phone number. It is a 262-9XX-XXXX number. It does no good to search it on google or other search method as hundreds, even thousands, of different names show up; these are innocent people who don’t even know their names have been associated with the number.

Meagan Wolfe: why are there forty-five more same phone numbers registered to about nine hundred different registered voters? Why didn’t you know this, for years? Tell us who owns the phone numbers.

A list will be mailed to the Board. Tell us when it was assigned to each of these 23,203 voters in Racine County…with more voters across the state.

Tara Coolidge: how could you not know about this phone number assigned to that many people? 95% of them are in your jurisdiction. Why are you on extended leave right now? If you did nothing wrong, come talk to us and we will help you.

Lisa Tollefson: why are there over 900 registered voters in your County with the exact same address?

Why are there over 8,550 registered voters in your County registered in the year 1918?

It is a default you say, who keeps such a shoddy database? We demand you to require all of these people to re-register.

Meagan Wolfe: why did you repeatedly lie to the Wisconsin Board of Commissioners over years? You lied to all of us at your dog and pony show on September 8 falsely claiming all is safe and secure with our elections.

Commissioners: why don’t you know about these 23,200+ people with the exact same phone number?

Why didn’t you know about 543,000 people registered for the year 1918? A voter registration list isn’t kept like that, it is ludicrous.

When are you going to re-register all these people so their date of registration is known?

SIX commissioners: did you know there are 543,000 on your list without a date of registration? Why not? What steps are you taking to correct this major error? A database is not run like that, in particular one which is used for casting votes. The source for all this information is WEC’s own database.

CDC Director Overrules Science Advisory Panel, Backs Boosters For 'High-Risk' Workers

In line with the recommendations made by the scientist-based CDC advisory panel (ACIP) earlier on Thursday, the CDC endorsed COVID vaccine booster shots for Americans 65 and older, residents of nursing homes, and adults aged 18 to 64 with underlying health conditions.

But that didn't go far enough apparently for the far more politically-controlled CDC itself as late last night CDC director Rochelle Walensky went beyond ACIP’s recommendation by urging boosters for individuals allegedly at high risk because of their jobs - which was left entirely undefined (we look forward to the union in-fighting over which jobs are 'at-risk').

Notably, the CDC advisory panel, made up of independent medical experts, broke with the FDA on that recommendation in a split decision on Thursday.

The panel specifically said it was concerned the move could send mixed messages about the vaccines, which are incredibly effective at preventing severe illness.
