Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Carter fan. I was 7 when Reagan was elected and I grew up hearing my parents bitch about Republicans. To them D was good and R was bad.

Really easy (I know it is for me) to latch onto someone you think is a patriot, only to be let down. When you treat it as a movie you are distancing yourself and not putting people on pedestals.

I voted D until 2000. I almost voted for Bush in 2004 until I had my own little awakening…him and Kerry both being Bonesmen. I said screw that I'm voting 3rd party. Which I did through 2016 (Constitution Party). I thought the GOP ran Trump to make a Hillary win look more plausible. When Trump won, I was surprised (not to mention happy Hillary lost) and I decided to give him a chance, glad I did. I voted for Trump last year.
