CNN Publishes Explainer About How to Convince Your 5-Year-Old They Need a COVID Vaccine

CNN has published an explainer on how to convince your five year old child that they need a COVID vaccine.

Last week, Pfizer and BioNTech announced that they have asked the US Food and Drug Administration to grant emergency use authorization for their controversial vaccines to be administered to children as young as five years old.

For their propaganda article, the network spoke to pediatrician and child development expert Dr. David Hill — who admits that “the data on the dose for 5- to 11-year-olds is not out yet to be scrutinized.”

When asked if he believes children will be concerned about getting the shot, he said that it depends on if the parents are excited for it or not. He went on to admit that there isn’t data available about how these rushed vaccines effect such young children.

“Kids always want to know, ‘Am I going to be OK?’ As parents, we need to be able to give them honest and reassuring answers. The data on the dose for 5- to 11-year-olds is not out yet to be scrutinized, but based on our experience with the other vaccines, we hope we’re going to be able to say, ‘Yes, this is very safe, and yes this will keep you from getting sick,'” Hill said.

The CNN propagandist then asked, “kids want to know whether they can go on playdates with their friends, visit their grandparents over the upcoming holidays and take pictures with Santa. Do we know yet if that will be possible for vaccinated children?”

The doctor said that this will depend on if everyone does what they’re told and gets the shot.

“I certainly hope that over time, we’re going to see that these vaccines in younger children are super effective, so effective that we can stop taking other precautions. But I think it will really depend on everybody doing their part and squashing this virus to just a point where it’s no longer a major threat,” the pediatrician said.

The article went on to say that even if kids are vaccinated, they should not stop wearing masks.

When asked why a parent should give their child the vaccine — which they already admitted that they do not have enough data on — the doctor said that parents need to just “trust the process” and let their children be used as guinea pigs.

“Now, our scientists are constantly getting smarter and learning more. That is a strength, but it can be confusing for people who say, ‘Well, you flip-flop. You change your mind. I can’t trust what you tell me.’ But science is a process of constantly learning. You get some early clues, and you work with those clues, and then you get better information and things change. Trust the process,” Hill said.

The pediatrician went on to tell the propaganda outlet that they should trust this vaccine because other vaccines work.

“We know from the history of vaccines, and the history of the Covid-19 vaccine in adults and in children age 12 and older, that giving the vaccine is much, much safer than having your child get Covid-19,” he concluded.

Horror Sochi head-on collision involving daughter of Putin’s mentor & former presidential candidate Sobchak kills one person

At least one woman was killed after a car carrying journalist, liberal socialite, and former presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak collided head-on with another vehicle on a mountain road in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi.

The accident happened late on Saturday as a rented Mercedes S500 was carrying Sobchak and two of her associates from the ski resort town of Krasnaya Polyana, a key site of the 2014 Winter Olympics, to Sochi airport. Sobchak had apparently been in Sochi to host a corporate event.

The driver of the Mercedes, with whom Sobchak said she had no connection, attempted to overtake a bus, driving into the oncoming lane, but ended up crashing head-on and at high speed into a Volkswagen Polo.

There were three people in the Volkswagen. A 35-year-old female passenger was killed on the spot, while the driver and another passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were rushed to hospital in a critical condition. After the initial collision, the Mercedes veered into the bus, which had 10 people aboard, but none of them was hurt.

Neither the driver nor the passengers of the Mercedes sought medical help at the scene, and media reports suggest it wasn’t they who had called for an ambulance. Sobchak subsequently got into another car and continued to the airport, where she reportedly took a flight to Moscow.

She took to Telegram on Sunday to confirm that she had been involved in the accident, expressing her “horror and shock that people have died.” The 39-year-old social-media darling wrote that she had been rendered unconscious as a result of the impact and had later been diagnosed with a concussion and multiple sites of internal bruising. Sobchak says that she had refused hospitalization in Sochi and had left the Black Sea resort city because she wanted to be with her son.

One killed, 14 injured after ‘hellish’ shootout in bar in Saint Paul, Minnesota

One woman is dead and 14 people are injured after a gunfight broke out in a bar in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Police are looking for “several shooters,” and no arrests have yet been made.

Police were called to a bar in downtown Saint Paul in the early hours of Sunday morning, and came upon a “hellish situation,” spokesman Steve Linders told reporters. Gunshot victims stumbled onto the sidewalk outside the bar, while others lay wounded inside.

One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while 14 people were brought to local hospitals and treated for their injuries.

Lebanese Army Seizes Over 28 Tons Of Ammonium Nitrate In Town With Terror Ties

The Lebanese Army announced this week that it has seized over 28 tons of ammonium nitrate during a raid at a gas station in Arsal in the Bekaa region, which is near the border with Syria. The fertilizer can be used in bomb-making, and the seizure comes after hundreds of tons of the same substance caused the August 2020 blast which killed 200 people and decimated whole neighborhoods in Beirut.

"Following information about the presence of ammonium nitrate in the town of Arsal, on October 4, an army patrol and military intelligence raided a gas station in the town, and seized 28,275 kilogrammes of ammonium nitrate," Lebanon's army announced in a Tuesday statement.

Three Syrian men and a Lebanese citizen were arrested for improper storage, and possible charges that they skirted proper permits from the Economy Ministry - though it remains that given the area it was found is also a farming community, it could be that it was legitimately meant to be used as fertilizer. Some reports said it was being stored in a truck at the gas station.

According to Middle East news source The National, "The quantities seized on Monday sparked fears among Lebanese that dangerous chemicals continue to be improperly stored, putting the country at risk of another incident at a time of economic crisis."

Currently Lebanese authorities are testing it the substance to see its concentration, according to the army statement: "It added that the bags storing the material indicated a nitrogen content of 26 per cent. The Army sent samples of the seized substance to check the percentage of nitrogen it contains."

Arsal is a town that has been under the authorities' microscope ever since the height of the Syrian war. "Arsal has become notorious in Lebanon after extremists from Syria briefly took over the small border town and engaged in deadly clashes with the Lebanese army in 2014," The National noted.

16 Dead After Russian Skydive Plane Crashes

A Russian military plane used for commercial use crashed in Eastern Europe on Sunday in the Russian republic of Tatarstan, killing 16 people and injuring seven, according to RT News.

The L-410 Turbolet plane had 22 on board, including a group of parachute jumpers. The incident occurred around 0923 local time near the town of Menzelinsk, about 600 miles east of Moscow.

Russian Emergency Ministry said 16 perished in the crash, including two pilots, but six people were extracted from the wreckage alive.

Aviation sources told TASS the accident could've been due to excessive weight onboard aircraft that impacted flight operations. Weight and balance have a direct effect on the stability and performance of the plane. Other reports indicate the plane may have suffered engine failure.

Although Russia has increased aviation safety standards over the last decade, crashes of aging Soviet-era planes are not uncommon. In July, an Antonov An-26 turboprop aircraft crashed into the sea near the remote Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia's far east, killing 28.

Newer Russian planes have also experienced recent crashes. In 2018, an An-148 regional jet plunged into a field just after takeoff from Moscow, killing all 71 aboard. In 2019, a Russian-made Sukhoi SSJ-100 jet burst into flames as it touched down on a runway in Moscow, killing 41.

As for the latest incident, the cause of the crash has yet to be officially announced.

Massive blast in Yemen’s Aden leads to casualties, but governor targeted survives – reports

A major explosion rocked the Red Sea port of Aden in Yemen on Sunday, with local media saying a car bomb had been targeted at a convoy of officials travelling across the city.

Images from Aden uploaded to social media have captured what appears to be plumes of black smoke coming from the site of the attack.

A vehicle rigged with explosives targeted the convoy of Aden’s governor, Ahmed Lamlas, who survived the blast, sources told local media.

Unnamed officials who talked to the AFP news agency said four people had been killed in the explosion, and eyewitnesses told Reuters they’d seen at least two charred bodies at the site.

The key southern port of Aden became the seat of the internationally recognized Yemeni government after most of the country, including the capital Sanaa, fell into the hands of Houthi rebels in 2014.

Southern Yemen has recently been paralyzed by the struggle for power between the government of exiled president Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi and the Southern Transitional Council (STC).

The former allies of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition against the Houthis have fallen apart, with all attempts by Riyadh to end the standoff so far proving unsuccessful.

There were clashes and gunfire in Aden last Saturday, which saw armored vehicles deployed in the city and at least four fatalities were reported.

Merrick Garland’s problems with his son-in-law just got worse

Over the last few months, as COVID brought classrooms into American homes, parents learned that their children are being taught Critical Race Theory (i.e., Whites are evil; Blacks are pathetic) and magical thinking about gender, as well as being forced to wear masks that don’t protect against disease, but do interfere with children’s health, learning, and socialization. We learned, too, that Merrick Garland’s son-in-law, through his company, Panorama Education, sells CRT materials to public schools. And yesterday, it turned out that Panorama is also spreading material calling Trump and his supporters “white supremacists.”

Alexander “Xan” Tanner, a very White man, is married to Merrick Garland’s daughter. Tanner co-founded Panorama Education, which purports to provide a data platform that delves into students’ psychosocial issues in order to help schools intervene in problems and improve the school climate. In a word, it’s creepy. The company, of course, insists that it’s all about diversity:

‘He’s a Monster!’—Cop Sentenced to 20 Years After Admitting He’s a Serial Child Rapist

Jacksonville, FL — It was a dramatic day in a Jacksonville courtroom this week as multiple child victims spoke out at disgraced officer, Matthew Butler’s sentencing hearing. After facing a slew of charges related to the sexual assault of multiple children under the age of 10, Butler pleaded guilty to just three charges. However, they were so horrific, that he received two decades in a cage.

According to the State Attorney’s Office, the child-raping cop pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted capital sexual battery involving two separate survivors. A third charge involving a third survivor was resolved and incorporated into the plea agreement.

Butler had faced more than a dozen charges, including child porn and molestation, but they were all dropped as part of the plea deal. Despite dropping the charges, Butler still received a far steeper sentence than most cops in his shoes.

His victims took to the stand in the tear-filled courtroom to recount the horror this “monster” has caused them.

One of Butler’s victims, now just 15, took to the stand and told the courtroom how this man’s abuse has ruined her life but she stays alive just to make sure he pays.

“Every time I think I am past it, a sound or something I see makes it all come back to the day it happened,” the first survivor to speak said. “I feel humiliated and worthless thinking about what happened. It’s a struggle to get out of bed every morning because I wish I could just disappear, and all of this would just go away.”

Another victim told the courtroom that she now sees Butler’s face in men on the street causing her a life of suffering.

“Every day since you took my childhood from me at the age of 8, you Matthew Butler made it impossible for me to walk down the road at night,” she said. “When I go anywhere and I see someone who is bald and looks as evil as you, all I remember is you Matthew, your mugshot. Your mugshot is imprinted in my brain, imprinted in my brain so bad I hurt myself because of you.”

The child victim said that making sure Butler ended up in prison was the reason she’s made it through all these years.

“But then I stop and remember I have to stay alive for this day to get justice not just for me but for every single girl in this courtroom,” the 15-year-old survivor said.

Naturally, despite Butler pleading guilty, his attorney maintains his innocence, claiming Butler doesn’t remember any of it.

Georgia plane crash kills CEO, three others: ‘It happened pretty fast’

A financial firm CEO was killed along with three others when a small plane that he was flying crashed shortly after takeoff in Georgia, according to reports.

Jonathan Rosen, 47, the chief executive of Entaire Global Companies, was the pilot of the single-engine Cessna P210N when it went down and burst into flames Friday afternoon at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, FOX 5 of Atlanta reported.

None of the passengers survived the crash.

The victims were identified as Rosen, his 14-year-old relative, the teen’s friend, and another family friend, the outlet reported.

Video shows flames consuming the aircraft as witnesses look on in horror.

“It crashed, it landed, and I don’t know if it was just a hard landing but it flipped and then it caught fire,” photographer Keith Berry, who witnessed the crash, told the outlet.

“It happened pretty fast. And the fire, it turned over and smoked for a second, and engulfed in flames.”

No cause has been released for the crash.

China Fails to Address UN Questions on Forced Organ Harvesting, Rights Groups Say

The International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC) and two other U.S. rights groups have criticized China for its “inadequate and misleading” responses over credible allegations of the state-sanctioned practice of forced organ harvesting.

The questions were raised in June by nine Special Rapporteurs to the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and members of a working group on arbitrary detention. Together, they said they were “extremely alarmed” by reports of China harvesting organs from detained minorities, including Falun Gong adherents, Uyghurs, and Christians.

The rapporteurs, who are independent experts in the U.N. human rights system, asked China to provide information on the allegations (pdf), including the “legal grounds for the performance of medical examinations on prisoners or detainees,” and the “purpose of such medical examinations.”

China has turned its transplant industry into a profitable business by killing prisoners of conscience and forcibly harvesting their organs, allowing Chinese hospitals to offer patients a matching organ in an extraordinarily short amount of time. Over the years, Beijing has dismissed these allegations as “rumors” and said the country has a national donation system for organ procurement.

China’s stance was rebuked in 2019, when an independent London-based tribunal concluded that state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting has taken place in China for years “on a significant scale.” The report (pdf) stated that it was “certain” that organs are being sourced from imprisoned Falun Gong adherents and they’re “probably the principal source.”

The report also pointed out that Falun Gong adherents in detention were “‘systematically subjected to blood tests and organ examinations.” Blood tests are carried out to check blood groups and tissue types to determine if an organ recipient can be matched with a donor.

Allegations of forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong adherents in detention first emerged in 2006. The adherents, who became targets of China’s persecution in 1999, are still victims of oppression to this day.

On Sept. 24, ETAC, Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC), and China Aid Association issued a joint statement criticizing China for failing to adequately respond to the rapporteurs’ questions.

“Once again Chinese officials have failed to provide official statistics on transplantations, waiting times for organ allocation or sources for organs, as requested by U.N. experts in 2006, 2007, and now 2021,” said Susie Hughes, ETAC’s executive director, in the statement.

She added, “It’s time for a global boycott of China’s transplantation sector until innocent minority groups are released and ethical transplant practices are demonstrated by the Chinese state.”

In response to questions on medical examination, the three rights groups said it was not enough for China to simply cite public security guidelines and orders from the cabinet-like State Council.

“The PRC [People’s Republic of China] response provides no new data that would suggest the purpose of these examinations was anything other than an assessment of organ function, required prior to organ removal,” the three rights groups stated.

The groups said China did not respond to a question about its measures “adopted to guarantee the need for donation and transplantation activities to be transparent and open to scrutiny.”

Neither did China properly address another question on “how data is collected to prevent abuse of transplantation systems.”

Texas Gubernatorial Candidate Allen West Says He Has COVID-19

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Allen West, a candidate for the Republican nomination for the governor of Texas, announced late Saturday that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

He wrote on Twitter that he and his wife, Angela West, who had also been diagnosed with COVID-19, both completed monoclonal antibody infusion therapy and “are in the observation period.”

“There’s a concern about my oxygen saturation levels, which are at 89 and they should be at 95,” he said. “My chest X-rays do show COVID pneumonia, not serious. I am probably going to be admitted to the hospital.”

According to West’s Twitter account, his wife tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday after she was given vaccines for COVID-19 and the flu.

West said he was experiencing “a low grate fever and light body aches” and was “suspending in-person events” pending further notice.

He was “already taking Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin protocols” and did not receive the vaccine.

“LTC West has publicly stated he supports individual choice and this is reflected in his own family,” reads a Twitter post shared on Saturday.

He said on Twitter he had attended an indoor event in Seabrook, Texas. The post described the Mission Generation Annual Gala and Fundraiser as a “packed house.”

West was a former U.S. representative for Florida from 2011 to 2013, and was the chairman of the Republican Party of Texas from 2020 to 2021. He announced in July he was stepping down from the latter role to challenge Gov. Greg Abbott in the 2022 primary race. Abbott is seeking a third term.

West has been critical of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions in the Lone Star state and in October 2020 participated in a protest outside Abbott’s home over the matter. Those restrictions have since been lifted.

Texas Republicans, including West, filed a lawsuit (pdf) against Abbott in September 2020 for having extended early voting amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

China Prepares for Possible Large-Scale COVID-19 Outbreak: Leaked CCP Documents

The Chinese regime has notified local authorities to prepare for a large-scale outbreak of COVID-19, according to leaked internal documents obtained by the Chinese Epoch Times.

One document, titled “Notice of Further Strengthening of Epidemic Prevention” was issued by the Chinese regime’s State Council, and forwarded by Fujian provincial government to local authorities on Sept. 30.

The other is a “National Day Epidemic Prevention Notice” issued by the State Council on Oct. 1 and distributed by the Fujian provincial officials to local authorities.

The documents are both marked “extra urgent.”

Both notices request enhanced preparations for an emergency response to the outbreak, with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) putting forward at least two standards for local authorities.

One is to build central isolation sites, with local authorities required by the end of October to set up isolation centers and rooms of not less than 20 rooms per 10,000 people. The scale of each isolation site must be more than 100 rooms.

According to public data, the population of Fujian Province in 2020 was 41.54 million. As of Sept. 19, the province has set up 35,691 quarantine rooms in 296 central sites.

Based on the standard in the epidemic prevention notice, Fujian Province will need to build at least 83,000 quarantine rooms by the end of October, which is around 47,000 rooms in less than a month.

According to one expert, the requirements for the COVID-19 quarantine sites reveal the real situation of the pandemic in China.

Dr. Sean Lin, a former virology researcher at the U.S. Army Research Institute, told The Epoch Times: “This reflects the CCP’s concern about the rise of the epidemic. It must have been concealing the true epidemic in mainland China, otherwise it would not suddenly issue a national notice of emergency preparedness.”

“Notice of Further Strengthening of Epidemic Prevention” requires the establishment of a five-layered control system.

It states: “Township and street CCP cadres, community grid staff, grassroots medical workers, police, and volunteers shall jointly implement community epidemic prevention,” such as “strictly implement[ing] community prevention and control,” or locking down residential communities.

Lin said that the control system is actually to tighten social management in local areas, and “the CCP’s purpose is to tighten control.”

“If there is no nucleic acid test, all the CCP’s epidemic prevention measures are the same as political campaigns. For example, you can be quarantined at any time and put in a quarantine site. And the quarantine sites can also be a place of political persecution,” Lin said.

“No matter who you are, as long as the CCP says that you tested positive in a nucleic acid test, it will deprive you of all your rights. The CCP’s quarantine sites are actually an alternative form of concentration camp.”

Protests Erupt Across Italy Over COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in Rome and other Italian cities over the weekend to protest against the government’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate—one of the strictest in the world.

Starting on Oct. 15, the country’s “green pass” vaccine requirement will apply to private and public sector workplaces, with both employers and employees risking significant fines if they do not comply. The vaccine passport is already required to enter restaurants, gyms, theaters, and other establishments as well as domestic flights, bus travel, or long-distance train travel.

Some protesters clashed with police as they marched toward Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s office. Police responded by deploying water cannons and tear gas. A group tried to break through police lines to get to Draghi’s office, according to footage and pictures were taken at the event, although footage also showed police swinging batons at the demonstrators.

Draghi denounced the protesters who clashed with police and said his broad unity government remained committed to completing its vaccination campaign.

“The right to demonstrate to support one’s ideas can never degenerate into acts of aggression and intimidation,” he said in a statement issued by his office.

A similar statement was issued by CGIL, one of Italy’s largest unions, after demonstrators marched on the organization’s offices on Saturday.

“If someone has thought of intimidating us, of frightening us, of making us shut up, they must know that … they don’t scare us,” CGIL head Maurizio Landini said in a translated statement, according to ANSA.

At least 12 people were arrested after the demonstrations, officials told ANSA. About 38 police officers suffered what appear to be mostly minor injuries, they said, although one officer suffered broken ribs.

Opponents of the Green Pass say it tramples on freedoms and is an indirect way of forcing vaccinations on people. Elsewhere, critics of vaccine passports have said that such systems would create a segregated, two-tiered society of the vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Gavin Newsom Signs Law Requiring ‘Gender Neutral’ Aisles in Toy Stores

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a host of bills into law on Friday, including AB 1084, which requires “gender neutral retail departments” in toy stores, so that shoppers will not be encouraged some toys for girls and others for boys.

The bill, authored by Assemblymember Evan Low (D-Campbell), declares that differences in products that are marketed to girls or boys are “unjustified,” and that it is “inappropriate” to imply they should be used by one gender instead of another.

As such, the bill provides:

(a) A retail department store that offers childcare items or toys for sale shall maintain a gender neutral section or area, to be labeled at the discretion of the retailer, in which a reasonable selection of the items and toys for children that it sells shall be displayed, regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys.

(b) This section shall apply only to retail department stores that are physically located in California that have a total of 500 or more employees across all California retail department store locations. This section shall not apply to retail department stores that are physically located outside California.

(c) Beginning on January 1, 2024, a retail department store that fails to comply with this section is liable for a civil penalty, not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for a first violation or five hundred dollars ($500) for a subsequent violation, which may be assessed and recovered in a civil action brought in the name of the people of the State of California by the Attorney General, or a district attorney or city attorney, in any court of competent jurisdiction. If the Attorney General, district attorney, or city attorney prevails in an action under this subdivision, the court shall award to the Attorney General, district attorney, or city attorney reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.

Stores can still maintain boys’ and girls’ sections, as long as they create one “gender neutral” area, though the legislation is unclear whether retailers could be punished for selling the same toys in gendered and gender neutral sections of the store.

Reduce Population to Save the Planet, Says Former UK Finance Chief

Britain and other Western nations should welcome declining populations and ageing demographics as it will help them meet climate change goals, the former chairman of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has argued.

In a report from Population Matters entitled Smaller Families and Ageing Populations, Lord Adair Turner, the chairman of the UK Energy Transitions Commission and former head of the FSA, argued that declining native populations will enhance prosperity.

“The biggest reason to welcome this demographic shift is that it results from the free choice of empowered people, and in particular women,” Lord Adair wrote.

“But ceasing endless population growth will also reduce humanity’s future press on the natural environment, ease the challenge of adequate housing provision, and make it easier to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions while supporting prosperity growth in developing countries.”

The report said that Britain could cut carbon emissions by approximately 38 million tonnes by 2035 if it experiences a similar decline in population to Japan, which is expected to see a drop of 9.6 per cent in population from 125m to 113.1m people by 2035.

In contrast, the United Kingdom is expected to see an increase in the population of 5.2 per cent over the same time period to 71.1 million people, driven in large part by mass migration.

Aside from the supposed benefits of falls in carbon emissions, a drop in population would also cut the need for the construction of 4 million new homes in Britain, saving some 435,000 acres of land from developers.

The green movement has long hailed population control as a means of saving the world from the so-called climate crisis. In a notable example, the founder of CNN, Ted Turner, called for a Chinese-style one-child policy in order to save the planet from climate change in 2010.

Turner — himself a father of five — also suggested that “fertility rights” could be sold in order to incentivise poor people not to have children by profiting from the sale of their child credit to wealthier people.

Other prominent leftist figures in the West, including NY Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. have all suggested that they may have fewer children than they would have otherwise if not for climate change.

McAuliffe: Critical Race Theory Is a ‘Dog Whistle’ Made-Up by Trump

Virginia gubernatorial candidate and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Critical Race Theory was a “dog whistle” made up by former President Donald Trump to divide Americans.

In a video from the last debate with his Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin, McAuliffe said, “I’m not going to have parents take their kids out of schools. I don’t think parents should be telling teachers what they should teach.”

Anchor Dana Bash said, “The context of that would have allowed parents to ban sexually explicit books in schools.”

McAuliffe said, “First of all, ban any book.”

Bash said, “Let me finish my question. The question is the fact that you are getting pummeled by Republicans who say it shows that you don’t think parents should have a say in their children’s education. So my question is, do you think parents should have a say in their children’s education?”

McAuliffe said, “First of all, they do. They get to elect school boards, and if they don’t like some rules and they get rid of them.”

Bash said, “When you say parents should have a say, is that say strictly how they vote on the school board?”

McAuliffe said, “Clearly they have a say to be involved in the school boards that they pick and so forth, but they want to know are their children getting a world-class education. I did that last time I was governor. Let’s be clear, in Virginia. We’re fourth in the country on k-12. We’re number one in the country on higher ed. We have a great education system. The issue is, and he’s trying to do a back door deal on Trump, he talks about a Critical Race Theory. I have to be honest with you that’s a dog whistle. We don’t teach critical race theory in Virginia. He brings up this Donald Trump/DeVos thing on education. I hate to see people divided. I got us out of the worse economic chaos before. I’ll do it again with COVID, and I’ll do it in a bipartisan way.”

He added, “I really hate to see the division, the hatred. We’re putting these children in this horrible position. Let’s just be clear. We don’t teach Critical Race Theory. This is made-up. This is a Trump/Betsy DeVos/Glenn Youngkin plan to divide people. It really bothers me. I try to unite people. I want to give every child regardless of who you love, the color of your skin, and I’m going to build the greatest election system, but Glenn Youngkin dividing the system, dog whistles, but he will take money from public schools and put them in private and 43,000 teachers will be cut.”

Israel could start holding citizens without trial in its effort to stem raging crime in the Arab Israeli community, the Kan public broadcaster reports.

The controversial tool — known as administrative detention — has long been used against Palestinian terror suspects as well as a smaller number of Jewish extremists in the West Bank.

However, Israel has not employed it to fight crime.

Israeli security officials defend the measure in the context of Palestinian unrest, arguing that in some cases, issuing an indictment could force them to reveal sensitive security information.

Palestinians and international rights groups, however, have criticized it, contending that Israel abuses it.

Kan reports that the new plan is being advanced by government and law enforcement officials, though some cabinet ministers are fiercely opposed.

It says that Supreme Court President Esther Hayut and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit are also participating in the debate.

The report quotes sources as saying that, under the emerging plan, police would arrest murder suspects — even if they do not have enough evidence to charge them — along with people whom they suspect of planning a murder.

The government has already come under fire for proposing to enlist the Shin Bet domestic security service in law enforcement activities.

Cheney blasts Scalise for refusing to say Biden legitimately won election

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) blasted House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) after he refused to say if he believed the 2020 presidential election was "stolen" from former President Trump.

Earlier on Sunday, Scalise was pressed by "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace on whether he believed the 2020 election had legitimately been won by President Biden. Scalise refused to directly answer the question, repeatedly pointing to Constitutional rules and states' laws on elections.

Navy engineer, wife charged with trying to pass nuclear submarine secrets to foreign power

Espionage case aided last December when an FBI official received a package sent to the foreign country containing U.S. Navy documents, a letter and instructions for how to conduct encrypted communications with the defendant, unsealed charges show.

The U.S. Justice Department unsealed a criminal complaint Sunday alleging that a Navy engineer and his wife repeatedly trying to pass secrets about U.S. nuclear submarines to a foreign power in a plot thwarted by an undercover FBI agent.

Jonathan Toebbe, 42, and his wife Diana, 45, both of Annapolis, Md,. were arrested Saturday in West Virginia by the FBI and Naval Criminal Investigative Service on espionage-related charges of violating the Atomic Energy Act, officials said.

Jonathan Toebbe worked as a nuclear engineer for the Navy's Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, and his wife participated in the plot as a witting accomplice, including functioning as a "lookout" for one of the alleged deliveries of secrets, the criminal complaint said. The couple is accused of trying to sell information "known as Restricted Data concerning the design of nuclear-powered warships to a person they believed was a representative of a foreign power. In actuality, that person was an undercover FBI agent," DOJ said in a press release.

The criminal complaint did not identify the foreign power but said the couple sought to be paid in cryptocurrency.

The case was aided last December when an FBI official received a package from a foreign official that had been sent to the foreign country containing U.S. Navy documents, a letter and instructions for how to conduct encrypted communications with the defendants, the unsealed charges show.

The criminal complaint contains chilling communications the couple allegedly sent to the undercover FBI agent thinking he was a foreign country's official, including one in March that laid out details for paying for the theft of the submarine secrets.

"I propose exchanging gifts electronically, for mutual safety," the encrypted communication stated. "I can upload documents to a secure cloud storage account~, encrypted with the key I have provided you. You can send me a suitable g~ft in Monero cryptocurrency to an address I will provide. 100,000 usd should be enough to prove to me that you are not an unwelcome third party looking to make trouble for me. When I have confirmed receipt of your gift, I will provide you the download link."

The complaint detailed two instances when Toebbe, aided by his wife, delivered encrypted secrets to the FBI undercover in exchange for cryptocurrency payments, once in June with an "SD card concealed within half a peanut butter sandwich" and again in August when an SD card was concealed in a chewing gum package.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Sunday hailed the operation that led to the arrest.

"The work of the FBI, Department of Justice prosecutors, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Department of Energy was critical in thwarting the plot charged in the complaint and taking this first step in bringing the perpetrators to justice," he said.

Stern scandal: Israel must address sexual assault complaints - analysis

Elazar Stern's admission that he shredded complaints showed Israel has a broken system that doesn't enable victims of sex offenses to file reports.

When it comes to its leadership’s understanding of the reality faced by women filing complaints about sex offenses, Israel seems to be taking one step forward and two giant leaps back.

In July, Public Security Minister Omer Bar Lev announced he would appoint an advisor on violence against women, saying that he will review with her the procedure for filing complaints about sexual violence.

“I understand that filing a complaint about a sexual offense is a painful process that requires great mental strength,” Bar Lev said at the time.

This recognition was pivotal and critical in a country with a broken system that does not enable victims of sex offenses to file complaints in a safe and effective manner.

Israel Police regularly mishandle sexual offense cases and mistreat the victims, according to preliminary findings of a University of Haifa Clinic for Legal Feminism study published in June.

Women’s organizations also regularly point to flaws in how authorities handle sex offense complaints. The word "abandoned," according to Jerusalem SlutWalk, “highlights the treatment we get from the state: the victim-blaming that we encounter from police; the ease with which violent men are released back to their homes to continue to harm women; [and] authorities that release rapists and attackers – if they are punished at all.”

So the public security minister's acknowledgment of the difficulties faced by victims seemed like an important and positive statement regarding Israel’s treatment of victims moving forward.

On Sunday, however, Intelligence Minister Elazar Stern casually stated in an interview to 103 FM that, as a major-general when he was head of the IDF Manpower Directorate, he used to shred anonymous complaints submitted against soldiers.

Stern was quick to emphasize that he always created an atmosphere in which soldiers could report offenses against them and that his problem was with anonymously submitted complaints.

While Stern clarified that he would always encourage soldiers to file sexual harassment complaints, his words highlighted a critical problem – understanding the reality faced by victims.

In many cases, victims do not feel they can safely complain about sex offenses. This is especially true in the IDF, where relationships between soldiers and superiors are strict and hierarchical. Victims also know that sometimes it is “not worth it” to make a complaint because of how slim the chances are that they will see real justice.

Some 84% of cases of sex offenses that made it to the State Attorney were closed in 2019, with an indictment issued in just 16% of them, according to Israel’s Association of Rape Crisis Centers (ARCCI). Rape was the offense with the least amount of indictments issued versus cases closed, with an indictment in just 8% of the cases.

Even if Stern was not referring specifically to anonymous sexual assault complaints, his dismissal of such complaints could be interpreted that way. His statement seems to show a deep lack of understanding of the reality faced by victims of sex offenses.

“It is very clear that you have failed in doing that job,” he said. “This country is not alone. It’s time that we wake up. Now, we’re gonna do a lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit. We can throw it out as much as you want. We’re gonna keep this paperwork on your desk and keep the problem going until we get exactly what we want.”

Southwest issue as explained via NBC: “Southwest Airlines canceled more than 1,000 flights, 27% of its schedule, on Sunday as disruptions that the airline blamed on air traffic control issues and bad weather affected the travel plans of thousands of customers.

“We experienced significant impact in the Florida airports [Friday] evening after an FAA-imposed air traffic management program was implemented due to weather and resulted in a large number of cancellations,” Alan Kasher, who oversees daily flight operations, told staff in a note on Saturday. The Federal Aviation Administration, which oversees air traffic, didn’t immediately comment. Southwest apologized to travelers for long customer service waits.” (link)

24 hours earlier Bloomberg News highlighted the real issue: “Southwest Airlines Co. pilots asked a court to temporarily block the company from carrying out federally mandated coronavirus vaccinations until an existing lawsuit over alleged U.S. labor law violations is resolved.

The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association’s filing Friday also asked for an immediate hearing on the request before a federal court in Dallas, claiming the carrier has continued to take unilateral actions that violate terms of the Railway Labor Act, which governs airline-union relations. Twenty Years Ago: US Invasion Of Afghanistan

Two decades ago on 7 October 2001 the United States, backed by its close allies Britain, Canada and Australia, began a military invasion of Afghanistan in south-central Asia. The US offensive started with aerial bombing raids over Afghanistan’s capital and largest city, Kabul, while American air attacks were simultaneously launched against targets in the country’s second biggest city Kandahar, 300 miles south-west of Kabul, and Jalalabad, less than 100 miles east of Kabul.

The opening air raids were carried out by 15 American B-1 and B-52 heavy bombers, which descended upon Afghanistan from a US military base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Around the same time, more than two dozen American F-14 and F-18 fighter aircraft entered Afghan air space, having flown from US naval carriers in the Arabian Sea to the south. A pair of B-2 Spirit stealth bombers flew all of the way from the Whiteman Air Force Base, in Missouri, to join in the air raids against Afghanistan. (1)

About 50 cruise missiles were fired at targets in Afghanistan from US Navy destroyers, cruisers and British Royal Navy submarines. From 18 October 2001, landing on Afghan soil were hundreds of special forces soldiers from the US Army and Air Force, supported by SAS commandos of the British Army.

CIA personnel were present in Afghanistan on 26 September 2001, just 15 days after what can be called the second 9/11 (the first 9/11 being the US-backed coup in Chile on 11 September 1973, which per capita was much more destructive). The CIA operatives in Afghanistan were quickly joined by Anglo-American special forces contingents, who supplied military equipment, arms and advice to local militants opposed to the Taliban (2). US-British covert operations commenced from late September 2001, and these elite units assisted in co-ordinating the bombing of Afghanistan a few days later.

Major aid and relief organisations, greatly concerned about the effects of the US air attacks, agreed with academic specialists that the bombings posed a “grave risk” of starvation for millions of Afghans (3). Three weeks into the invasion, in late October, 1,000 anti-Taliban Afghan leaders convened a meeting across the border in Peshawar, northern Pakistan. They could not see eye-to-eye on various subjects, but were unanimous in their belief that the US-British air strikes over Afghanistan were harmful, and they appealed to the international media to demand an end to the “bombing of innocent people”. In years to come, the offensive was termed by the mainstream press as one of the US’s “forever wars”. However, since America’s official foundation on 4 July 1776, the US Armed Forces have been waging war in one form or another almost uninterrupted: for 93% of the country’s near 250-year long existence. (5)

Afghanistan as a nation had committed no aggression against America or its military; unlike say Imperial Japan, in their December 1941 bombing of the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii, which killed nearly 2,500 Americans; but this attack took place in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, over 2,000 miles from the American mainland. Furthermore, Hawaii had been taken over by America in the late 19th century, without the consent of the island’s native population.

Seldom mentioned is that the Japanese bombing, though clearly a criminal action, was scarcely an unprovoked one. The attack on Pearl Harbor came as a response to ongoing US expansion in the Eastern hemisphere, and therefore encroachment into Japan’s sphere of interest. There was no Japanese presence in the Western hemisphere, nor would it have been tolerated; while the Roosevelt administration had applied other pressures on Tokyo prior to Pearl Harbor, such as an oil embargo instituted in July 1941 which immediately wiped out 90% of Japan’s oil imports (6), a very serious matter for a resource-poor country like Japan.

Torontonians hold 'picnic protest' against vaccine mandates

"Segregation is wrong, and we want our freedoms back in Canada"

Danforth Avenue, also known as Toronto's Greektown, is where protesters chose to demonstrate Saturday against provincial and federal vaccine mandates by picnicking in front of local restaurants.

Premier Doug Ford's vaccine passport mandate came into effect September 22 and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just earlier this week confirmed his commitment to mandating vaccine passports for travellers 12 and older on domestic airplanes and trains.

Protestors in France, in defiance of their own vaccine passport, started the phenomenon of picnicking in front of restaurants that choose to enforce it. In the last two weeks, hundreds of Albertans in Calgary did the same, for which Rebel reporter Adam Soos was on the scene.

Over a hundred Torontonians showed up on the streets of Danforth to demonstrate. Cars and people walking by showed their support. The crowd chanted: "Freedom!"

"Segregation is wrong, and we want our freedoms back in Canada," said Rose. "Businesses should not be discriminating, it's illegal to ask for your personal medical information."

"The point of the protest is to raise awareness and to educate people. Vaccine mandates are against our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Canada is becoming an open prison because you need a passport to travel domestically and now internationally to leave the country."

Due to a combination of factors - including environmentalists' push for "green" energy like wind and solar, plus the COVID-inspired collapse in global supply chains leaving countries around the world desperate for badly needed energy supplies (from LNG to coal to unrefined crude oil) - energy crises have been unfolding in China, the UK, Continental Europe and now India, the world's largest democracy.

Just like Chinese authorities ordering energy firms to conserve supplies at all costs, numerous power plants across India could be forced to adopt rolling blackouts as coal supplies run low. A minister in Indian capital New Delhi warned Sunday that blackouts could rock the massive city over the next two days. But the nation's capital city isn't alone in suffering energy shortages: it joins two Indian states - Tamil Nadu and Odisha - which have issued warnings about the growing possibility of blackouts due to dwindling coal supplies.

According to Delhi's Power Minister Satyendra Jain, more than half of India's 135 coal-fired power plants, which supply around 70% of the country's electricity, have seen their stocks depleted to such low levels that they only have enough to guarantee power for three days before the capital city is hit with blackouts. Typically, they're supposed to keep a buffer supply of at least one month. But these aren't normal times.

"If coal supply doesn't improve, there will be a blackout in Delhi in two days," the national capital's Power Minister Satyendra Jain said today. "The coal-fired power plants that supply electricity to Delhi have to keep a minimum coal stock of one month, but now it has come down to one day," Mr Jain said.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party is pleading with the government to send emergency supplies of coal by rail: "our request to the center is that railway wagons should be arranged and coal should be transported to the plants soonest. All the plants are already running in only 55 per cent capacity," according to NDTV.

Of course, India's incredibly image-conscious government is pushing back against these warnings, with the national coal ministry insisting that there's sufficient amount of fuel to meet power plants' demand, and that the whole system is quickly bouncing back after heavy monsoons constrained dispatches of coal, per BBG.

Just like other power shortages (think: Texas, the EU) Power Minister Jain complained that the current situation in India is "man made", caused by the West's overzealousness at trying to ween the world off of coal, considered the "dirtiest" carbon-based power source,

This appears to be "a man-made crisis, just as the crisis of medical oxygen supplies during the COVID second wave," he said.

As we noted above, energy shortages aren't confined to India. Right now, economies around the world (from China to the UK/Europe to Afghanistan) are struggling to maintain adequate supplies as energy prices surge , driven by a jump in demand amid the post-COVID recovery.

But if nothing else, India's situation illustrates just how far away humanity is from being able to survive without coal, since global coal production accounts for 40% of energy produced, especially in major emerging economies like China and India.

Garbage far-left and Mainstream Media claim there were no ‘irregularities’ found in the audit of the 2020 Election results from Maricopa County. These claims are simply not true.

Far-left media outlet Slate claimed on Thursday that there was “no evidence of election irregulaties” in the audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 Election results. This is simply false.

Is it any surprise that two of the main authors of the partisan election review in Arizona didn’t even show up to Thursday’s hearing by the House Oversight Committee to investigate their report? The so-called audit in Maricopa County found no evidence of election irregularities and even turned up more votes for President Joe Biden. But that hasn’t stopped the review’s leaders from suggesting Trump won in Arizona. Yet on Thursday, two leaders of the Cyber Ninjas investigation thought it better to stay home than to testify under oath that their review signaled a win for the former president.

Attacks like this by the far-left online site are typical of Big Media’s attention to the Maricopa audit. However, last night President Trump had a different interpretation of the results of the audit in Arizona, sharing:

The Thursday House hearing of the Arizona Election Scam turned sharply against the Democrats when Congressman Andy Biggs and others started asking questions about all the damning findings of the audit and the people for Maricopa County were unable to give an answer. It was incredible.

They could not answer why they deleted and moved election data after they received a subpoena, or why they have never delivered chain of custody documents for millions of ballots. Congressman Andrew Clyde exposed the Democrats’ “Big Lie” that Biden “won” the recount, because no matter how many times you count counterfeit money, “you may have 100 pieces of paper in your pocket, but you sure don’t have $100 dollars in legal tender.”

The hearing exposed how numerous laws were broken during the Arizona voting, how blank mail-in ballot envelopes were approved, and how there are tens of thousands of suspected fraudulent ballots.

The Fake News, however, refuses to cover those questions and answers because they prove, without question, that we won Arizona (and many other states).

The problem for the dishonest, far-left media is that nearly 700,000 ballots from the 2020 Election in Maricopa County have issues.
