Anon remembers all the news coverage during Desert Storm. Powell figured prominently in the media coverage. Anon remembers Colin Powell coming across, in the media coverage, as a very competent and in control military commander. Anon was impressed. Anon bought 32 oz. fountain drinks at Whataburger in the new reusable Whataburger plastic cup now suddenly emblazend in a new Desert Storm camo pattern.

 

Shit happened. Years went by. 9-11 happened. The testimony about the mobile chemical weapons labs in Iraq. Actual sniff test fail. But America couldn't smell a damn thing at that time. Their collective nasal cavity was still clogged with WTC dust. And thus our judegment clouded.

 

Powell as Secretary of State. Powell from the mid-east live as Secretary of State for a Faukes noose satellite interview. The camera on Powell kept drifiting off to the side leaving the Secretary out of frame. One of the first few basic logic confirmation steps that confirmed for anon that Fuax nuse was (and is) full of shit.

 

Things that bother anon about Powell: his initials.

 

Things anon admires about Powell: Good Soldier. To a point anyway. Look anons. It's a machine. DC. A meat grinder. I give the man full respect as a soldier. And sympathize with his Washington predicament. At least they didn't Clarence Thomas him. And anon supposes that is something. Baby steps.
