breaks my heart, used to get Ranger Rick also as a kid. Loved it so much and i used to try to donate my money to the WWF as well. Figured it's helping animals. But you are right all these so called charities only exist to enrich the board members not actually help the things they claim to want to help. I can't remember the percentage but it was incredibly low of what actually goes towards things vs. the of the chartity. SO fucking stupid. All the plans pushed by demonrats, do this, never goes to the people just the social justice company to pay them. All a scam.

Response: even the Humane Society is a Huge Scam, its all about the money

Exposed: Humane Society of the United States Fundraising Scandal

12:10AM FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2009

Townhall.com - When you hear the words "Humane Society," what's the first thing that comes to mind? Is it a pet shelter where families can adopt unwanted dogs and cats? Or is it a super-rich animal rights lobbying group that runs absolutely no pet shelters, and gives less than 4 percent of its $100 million budget to those who do?

We thought so.

Meet the Humane Society of the United States. This slick and moneyed PETA clone has pulled the wool over the eyes of countless Americans - including Rush Limbaugh, who recently recorded two public service announcements for the group.

Last week WSB-TV in Atlanta uncovered what Rush has somehow been unable to see: that HSUS is "an organization actively misleading donors to get money."

If you enjoy a good steak, if you hunt or fish, if you wear leather shoes, if you take your kids to the circus, if you (or a family member) owe your life to medical research that involved lab animals — the Humane Society of the United States doesn't share your values. The group has the same agenda as PETA and the rest of the animal rights industry. And it is an industry. The Humane Society of the United States has an astonishing $200 million in the bank.

If you are a Humane Society of the United States donor, it's time to reconsider that decision. Thousands of struggling pet shelters — legitimate Humane Societies — could use your help. There's a good chance at least one of them is in your own community. And unlike the Humane Society of the United States, they're not working overtime to ban hunting & fishing, cancel the circus, turn your boots into contraband, or stop cancer research in its tracks.

The next time a solicitation e-mail comes from the Humane Society of the United States, watch this video from WSB-TV in Atlanta.

Better yet, send this link to everyone in your address book:

You could be saving a friend or loved one from making a big mistake.

[UPDATE: HSUS has launched an all-out war on WSB for publishing its story. According to blogger Amanda Nolz, "HSUS aggressively worked to pull the plug on this video before it did too much damage to their reputation. They quickly pushed WBS-TV to take the video and text of the story off of its website, and they have accomplished in getting all of the text versions removed from Google, as well."

From the Center for Consumer Freedom's updated coverage via Townhall.com:

Since the report first aired, HSUS has been working feverishly to silence it. The group bullied the TV station into removing the video and the text of the story from its website. HSUS even convinced the station to contact YouTube with copyright claims to have the news segment removed from public view. The video is no longer available anywhere on the Internet. All because HSUS is afraid of the truth.

WSB-TV called HSUS "an organization actively misleading donors to get money." We added that most of the proceeds from HSUS's massive fundraising operations don't benefit homeless cats and dogs: "It's very deceptive…[the money] goes to lobbying, it goes to political contributions, it goes to pay huge staff salaries and benefits." This was a great piece of journalism on a subject most news outlets are too intimidated or biased to cover."

To say we struck a nerve would be an understatement. HSUS's aggressive response is a testament to our strategy and effective messaging. HSUS's biggest vulnerability is the public discovering that it is not a pet shelter. If we can bring that message to the public, we can seriously undercut HSUS's credibility and expose them as the radical animal rights group that they really are.

In addition, the Louisiana Attorney General's office has been receiving a deluge of questions about one of the WSB-TV report's claims: That HSUS misused money it promised to spend helping reunite Hurricane Katrina victims with their pets. Louisiana A.G. Buddy Caldwell is considering whether to re-open a full-scale investigation into this. if you feel as strongly about it as we do, PLEASE CALL his office's Consumer Protection Section at 800-351-4889 and let them know.

HSUS Doc Exposed as Schlock

If you’re a longtime reader of this blog, you may recall that we’ve discussed oddball Michael Greger. He’s a doctor who works for the Humane Society of the United States, and his job has been to spew vegan propaganda while attaching an “M.D.” to it. He has released a series of video lectures called “Latest in Clinical Nutrition”that serve as a sounding board for Greger to cherry pick studies and shill for veganism. HSUS allows its logo to be on the DVDs, so it wouldn’t surprise us if the organization paid for the production entirely.

Greger’s moved from low-budget DVDs to starting a flashy website called “Nutrition Facts.” Despite the seemingly nonpartisan branding, “Nutrition Facts” until last year was called the “Vegan Research Institute,” so that should tell you what you need to know about the agenda of the site. Whatever Greger calls his project, debunking him simply requires going through the minutiae of the studies he cites. It’s a laborious task, but thankfully someone has done it for us.

Over at Science Based Medicine, a website run by doctors with an eye towards promoting high standards in medicine and research, editor and former Air Force colonel Dr. Harriet Hall takes a hard look at a Greger video recommended to her by a vegan activist. You can read her full analysis, but she finds a number of examples of Greger ludicrously citing research. For example, one study Greger cites as showing that "plant-based" diets protect against kidney failure actually indicates that low-fat dairy products are also protective. The devil is in the details, but Greger is in the business of making overly broad statements that fit his narrative.

Hall summarizes Greger’s formula rather well:

These videos tend to fall into an easily recognizable pattern. They feature a charismatic scientist with an agenda who makes sweeping statements that go beyond the evidence, makes unwarranted assumptions about the meaning of studies, and omits any reference to contradictory evidence.

And she also calls out Greger’s laughable rhetoric:

[Greger] compares raw meat to hand grenades, because of bacterial contamination. If you don’t handle them safely, it’s like pulling the pin. Are we selling hand grenades in grocery stores? This is a ridiculous comparison, and it ignores the fact that plant-based foods can be a source of contamination too.

Interesting point. A recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that leafy green vegetables are the number one source of food poisoning. About half of food poisonings are attributable to produce. Somehow, we can’t find this news on the “Nutrition Facts” blog. We’re shocked.

Greger's by no means the only wolf in sheep's clothing we've seen, by the way. Just check out the so-called "Physicians Commitee" for "Responsible Medicine" for more.

When Greger’s propaganda is filtered through calm, reasoned medical experts who are focused on impartially evaluating evidence, it falls apart. He’s a snake oil salesman for an ideology, and it seems he’ll twist research to push his agenda. In that way, he’s a perfect fit for HSUS.

Thats true, their procedures prevent saving of life, Remdesivir and ventilators are only allowed by FDA in hospitals, and hospitals know what they are doing.

The medical establishment will never be trusted again. Doctors going along with this deserve their loss of income, livelihood and trust. No one will trust a doctor again that caved to the cabal

Meaning the Cures will be released

No more doctors practicing fake and made up science again!

I interesting, i had a discussion with an atheist that I knew, I Asked:

Why do you care if I have faith in God and my faith gives me comfort?

He said:

“God is not real or true, there’s no way to prove it!”

I said who will be in a better place?

The person that believes God doesn’t exist, and when they die they find out God does exist?

Or the person that had faith and comfort in their life, that believed in God their whole life, but when they die, they dont even know they were wrong, because he didnt exist?

According to you its just blank and you dont exist. So apparently I’ll never know, but You will!
