Kentucky teacher convicted of producing child pornography, cyberstalking

LONDON, Ky. – A Letcher County Middle School teacher was convicted late Wednesday, by a federal jury sitting in London, of producing child pornography and cyberstalking a student.

The jury convicted Charles Evans Hall Jr., 48, after 30 minutes of deliberations, following a three-day trial.

According to the evidence at trial, Hall persuaded a child to setup a secret Snapchat account. Hall then manipulated the child into creating and transmitting sexually explicit pictures and videos over a seven-month period. Hall used physical molestation to coerce and entice the minor into producing additional images.

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) seized Hall’s cell phone on November 20, 2018. Despite that, Hall still used Instagram to engage in cyberstalking. Hall repeatedly contacted the victim, asking her to destroy evidence, and ultimately threatened the child when she did not help him do so. KSP then arrested Hall on November 30, 2018. Despite that, Hall had his cellmate communicate with a co-conspirator, outside of the jail, to continue the cyberstalking campaign against the child, using Facebook. Hall told the victim to make another statement to law enforcement, to clear him of the charges. Hall also used his mother’s public Facebook page to relay messages to the victim.

Carlton S. Shier, IV, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; Jodi Cohen, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Louisville Division; and Col. Phillip Burnett, Jr., Commissioner of the Kentucky State Police, jointly announced the jury’s verdict.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch. The United States was represented in the case by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenna E. Reed.

Hall will appear for sentencing on February 22, 2022. He faces a maximum of 35 years in prison. However, the Court must consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and the applicable federal sentencing statutes before imposing the sentence.

$5 Million in Marijuana Seized at the Port of Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Port of Buffalo seized 2,554 lbs. of marijuana in a commercial shipment.

On October 20, CBP officers assigned to the Peace Bridge selected a commercial shipment that was manifested as “bathroom vanities” for additional examination. The truck and trailer were sent for a non-intrusive examination that revealed anomalies in the trailer and was subsequently sent to the commercial vehicle inspection area. CBP officers then performed a physical inspection of the shipment and discovered vacuum-sealed marijuana packages secreted within the pallet-shipment-boxes. A thorough inventory of the shipment resulted in the seizure of 2,302 packages of marijuana that field-tested positive for the properties of marijuana. CBP officers determined the seizure of marijuana has an estimated street value of $5 million dollars.

“Criminal organizations continue to attempt to exploit the border for their personal gain, however the skills, training and dedication of our officers have once again halted their plan.” said Acting Buffalo Port Director John Madsen. “I am proud of the persistent efforts of our resilient workforce in securing the border ensuring these narcotics were prevented from entering our country.”

The seizure is currently under investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

“HSI is committed with CBP to disrupt the flow of illegal drugs smuggled into the United States,” said Matthew Scarpino, acting Special Agent in Charge of HSI Buffalo. “Through the HSI Border Enforcement Security Task Force, HSI will continue to investigate these significant seizures, with our Canadian law enforcement partners, to combat the transnational criminal networks that threaten our international region.”

Walensky Says the Biden Regime is Planning on “Education and Counseling” For Unvaccinated Police Officers and ‘Essential Workers’

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky on Sunday said the Biden Regime is planning on providing “education and counseling” for unvaccinated police officers and ‘essential workers.’

“Let’s talk about mandates for adults. President Biden was asked about the quite controversial mandates for essential workers at his town hall this week. Take a look at his answer,” Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace said while showing a clip of Biden’s remarks during Thursday night’s dumpster fire town hall.

“Should police officers, emergency responders be mandated to get vaccines, and if not, should they stay at home or let go?” Anderson Cooper asked Biden to which he replied, “Yes and yes.”

“Now, mandates by government, by private companies of essential workers have generally worked…but as you know, there are cases of police officers or health workers or pilots are walking off the job rather than get the vaccine. Are you still full speed ahead on mandates for essential workers to get vaccinated?” Wallace asked.

Walensky said the Biden Regime will roll out a plan to ‘educate and counsel’ vaccine hesitant workers.

“We have seen that these mandates are getting more and more people vaccinated. Here’s what we know, the most disruptive thing that you can do to a workforce is to have a Covid outbreak in that workforce. That will most definitely not only send people home but it will send people to the hospital, and some may pass. What we know from the police workforce is there have been more deaths from the coronavirus over the last year and a half than all other causes of death for that workforce combined. So we believe it is very important to get these people vaccinated,” Walensky said.

“There is a plan, should these people not want to be vaccinated, towards education and counseling to get people the information they need so that they are feeling comfortable in getting vaccinated,” she added.
