Kentucky teacher convicted of producing child pornography, cyberstalking

LONDON, Ky. – A Letcher County Middle School teacher was convicted late Wednesday, by a federal jury sitting in London, of producing child pornography and cyberstalking a student.

The jury convicted Charles Evans Hall Jr., 48, after 30 minutes of deliberations, following a three-day trial.

According to the evidence at trial, Hall persuaded a child to setup a secret Snapchat account. Hall then manipulated the child into creating and transmitting sexually explicit pictures and videos over a seven-month period. Hall used physical molestation to coerce and entice the minor into producing additional images.

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) seized Hall’s cell phone on November 20, 2018. Despite that, Hall still used Instagram to engage in cyberstalking. Hall repeatedly contacted the victim, asking her to destroy evidence, and ultimately threatened the child when she did not help him do so. KSP then arrested Hall on November 30, 2018. Despite that, Hall had his cellmate communicate with a co-conspirator, outside of the jail, to continue the cyberstalking campaign against the child, using Facebook. Hall told the victim to make another statement to law enforcement, to clear him of the charges. Hall also used his mother’s public Facebook page to relay messages to the victim.

Carlton S. Shier, IV, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; Jodi Cohen, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Louisville Division; and Col. Phillip Burnett, Jr., Commissioner of the Kentucky State Police, jointly announced the jury’s verdict.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch. The United States was represented in the case by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenna E. Reed.

Hall will appear for sentencing on February 22, 2022. He faces a maximum of 35 years in prison. However, the Court must consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and the applicable federal sentencing statutes before imposing the sentence.

$5 Million in Marijuana Seized at the Port of Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Port of Buffalo seized 2,554 lbs. of marijuana in a commercial shipment.

On October 20, CBP officers assigned to the Peace Bridge selected a commercial shipment that was manifested as “bathroom vanities” for additional examination. The truck and trailer were sent for a non-intrusive examination that revealed anomalies in the trailer and was subsequently sent to the commercial vehicle inspection area. CBP officers then performed a physical inspection of the shipment and discovered vacuum-sealed marijuana packages secreted within the pallet-shipment-boxes. A thorough inventory of the shipment resulted in the seizure of 2,302 packages of marijuana that field-tested positive for the properties of marijuana. CBP officers determined the seizure of marijuana has an estimated street value of $5 million dollars.

“Criminal organizations continue to attempt to exploit the border for their personal gain, however the skills, training and dedication of our officers have once again halted their plan.” said Acting Buffalo Port Director John Madsen. “I am proud of the persistent efforts of our resilient workforce in securing the border ensuring these narcotics were prevented from entering our country.”

The seizure is currently under investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

“HSI is committed with CBP to disrupt the flow of illegal drugs smuggled into the United States,” said Matthew Scarpino, acting Special Agent in Charge of HSI Buffalo. “Through the HSI Border Enforcement Security Task Force, HSI will continue to investigate these significant seizures, with our Canadian law enforcement partners, to combat the transnational criminal networks that threaten our international region.”

Sen. Manchin To Meet With President Biden In Delaware

Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin will meet Sunday with President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in Delaware to talk more about Biden’s $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act.

Biden is seeking to strike a deal with Manchin and Democratic Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema to secure passage of the act, Politico reported.

Democratic leaders need support from both Sinema and Manchin to pass the $3.5 trillion spending bill.

Manchin and Biden have disagreed on the price tag of Biden’s spending bill. Manchin said Sept. 30 that his top line for the spending bill is $1.5 trillion, compared to the bill’s $3.5 trillion price tag.

Biden has said in meetings with Democrats that he expects the bill to end up costing around $2 trillion. However, Biden has previously claimed the legislation would cost zero dollars. Manchin has even told party leaders Oct. 21 that he would leave the party if they felt he was “embarrassing” them. However, Manchin also said that if he were to leave, he would still caucus with the Democrats.

Former Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said Friday during “Fox News Primetime” that both Democratic and Republican lawmakers are in danger of being destroyed by the “establishment elite” if they stand on principles.

“This is a bigger problem than Democrats or Republicans,” Gabbard told host Will Cain. “This is about the establishment elite trying to hold on to their power and continue to increase it. And the mainstream media is a powerful arm of that establishment elite,” she continued, noting that politicians are either “with them, agreeing with them, supporting them, carrying the water for them.”

Gabbard argued that the alternative is for the elite to turn on their detractors and then “target you, censor you, demonize you, and call you a domestic terrorist and stick the attorney general on you. Seeing you as a threat to their power and, therefore, the enemy.”

The former congresswoman said America is “facing some incredibly serious challenges” that require “competent and caring leaders who put the interest of the people and our country above all else. But that’s not what we have.”

Cain reminded Gabbard that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had called the congresswoman “a favorite of the Russians” because she was often seen as a maverick candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination race.

Gabbard also confessed that she had not watched much of Wednesday night’s CNN town hall with President Joe Biden, however, what she had seen provided no evidence of the competent, caring leadership that made “any serious attempt to address the needs of the American people.” She said what is clear is that “our leaders don’t respect us, they don’t trust us.”

Gabbard has criticized Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters for using race to “divide” American voters. She has also said Biden’s immigration policy has failed and that he should reconsider reintroducing some of former President Donald Trump’s initiatives to avoid an “open border.”

D.C. Assistant Police Chief Chanel Dickerson said the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) of Washington, D.C., told her to either have an abortion or accept termination from the department’s cadet program at 18 years old.

“My choice to have a baby was personal and it should’ve been mine alone and not for an employer ultimatum,” Dickerson said in a Tuesday community meeting, Fox 5 reported. She went on to say that she does not have any children.

Dickerson and 9 other women are suing the MPD of D.C. for $100 million. The officers allege a culture of discrimination and harassment. One woman “had to do things no woman should ever have to do” in order to work on a schedule that was conducive to caring for her child as a single mother, Dickerson stated.

Another police officer from Dickerson’s recruit class, Karen Arikpo, said she faced the same abortion ultimatum as Dickerson when she was a cadet, Fox 5 reported. “It’s so unfair … and now I’ve never been able to have a kid. All these years, I’ve tried and I’ve never been able to have a baby,” she said. Arikpo said that if she could go back in time, she would have quit her job and kept her baby.

''With the end of the primary season, the Democratic Party leadership and their allies in the national security apparatus have completed the first stage of what might be termed a “friendly takeover” of the Democrats by candidates recruited from among military, CIA, and civilian national security cadres.''

The World Socialist Web Site first identified the phenomenon of the CIA Democrats in a series published in March. At the time we noted the large number of candidates drawn from the military-intelligence apparatus seeking Democratic nominations in competitive congressional districts. If the Democrats won the November election, we warned, such military-intelligence operatives would hold the balance of power in the new House of Representatives.

''Of the 44 districts we identified in March—since grown to 46—military-intelligence candidates have won 30 nominations, a success rate of about 66 percent or two-thirds. That testifies to their extensive support from the Democratic Party leadership, from longtime financial backers of the Democrats, and from the top levels of the national security establishment.''

There are 115 districts rated as competitive by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) or by groups specializing in the district-by-district analysis of congressional races. The 30 military-intelligence candidates account for more than one-quarter of the Democratic candidates in these districts, making them the largest single group, ahead of state and local politicians (26), lawyers (20), millionaires (15), other professionals (8), former Obama aides (3) and miscellaneous (13).

Most of the organizations that investigate and rate congressional races are projecting that the Democrats will win more than the 23 seats required to take control of the House, and possibly as many as 50 or 60. In the latter scenario, CIA Democrats could make up as much as half of the new class of first-time representatives.

‘World Record’ Snake Moved By Crane On Caribbean Island

A shocking video emerged online showing a ”world record” snake being moved by a crane in the Caribbean.

The massive snake was unearthed by workers clearing part of the Dominica rain forest, according to the New York Post.

In complete disbelief, the man filming the entire ordeal could be heard saying: “My mother, what?” as the crane lifted the 10-foot long snake into the air.

While the exact species of the snake is unknown, the Caribbean island of Dominica is home to an array of different wildlife due to its pleasant climate. The island that only measures 29 miles long and 16 miles wide is dubbed by many visitors as the ‘the Nature island’.

One snake species very prevalent on the island is the boa constrictor which can grow to about 13ft. The deadly snake grabs hold of their prey with their teeth first before wrapping themselves around their victim and constricting for the kill. Pythons, which follow the same characteristics as a boa constrictor, can be found worldwide and at times cause havoc. One example would be when a 12ft long Python escaped its enclosure at the Blue Zoo in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Since the debut of the video last week, it has amassed millions of views on social media.
