Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin will meet Sunday with President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in Delaware to talk more about Biden’s $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act.

Biden is seeking to strike a deal with Manchin and Democratic Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema to secure passage of the act, Politico reported.

Democratic leaders need support from both Sinema and Manchin to pass the $3.5 trillion spending bill.

Manchin and Biden have disagreed on the price tag of Biden’s spending bill. Manchin said Sept. 30 that his top line for the spending bill is $1.5 trillion, compared to the bill’s $3.5 trillion price tag.

Biden has said in meetings with Democrats that he expects the bill to end up costing around $2 trillion. However, Biden has previously claimed the legislation would cost zero dollars. Manchin has even told party leaders Oct. 21 that he would leave the party if they felt he was “embarrassing” them. However, Manchin also said that if he were to leave, he would still caucus with the Democrats.

Manchin’s office did not respond to the Daily Caller at the time of publication.

Former Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said Friday during “Fox News Primetime” that both Democratic and Republican lawmakers are in danger of being destroyed by the “establishment elite” if they stand on principles.

“This is a bigger problem than Democrats or Republicans,” Gabbard told host Will Cain. “This is about the establishment elite trying to hold on to their power and continue to increase it. And the mainstream media is a powerful arm of that establishment elite,” she continued, noting that politicians are either “with them, agreeing with them, supporting them, carrying the water for them.”

Gabbard argued that the alternative is for the elite to turn on their detractors and then “target you, censor you, demonize you, and call you a domestic terrorist and stick the attorney general on you. Seeing you as a threat to their power and, therefore, the enemy.”

The former congresswoman said America is “facing some incredibly serious challenges” that require “competent and caring leaders who put the interest of the people and our country above all else. But that’s not what we have.”

Cain reminded Gabbard that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had called the congresswoman “a favorite of the Russians” because she was often seen as a maverick candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination race.

Gabbard also confessed that she had not watched much of Wednesday night’s CNN town hall with President Joe Biden, however, what she had seen provided no evidence of the competent, caring leadership that made “any serious attempt to address the needs of the American people.” She said what is clear is that “our leaders don’t respect us, they don’t trust us.”

Gabbard has criticized Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters for using race to “divide” American voters. She has also said Biden’s immigration policy has failed and that he should reconsider reintroducing some of former President Donald Trump’s initiatives to avoid an “open border.”

DC Assistant Police Chief Sues Department For Allegedly Pressuring Her To Have An Abortion Or Be Fired

D.C. Assistant Police Chief Chanel Dickerson said the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) of Washington, D.C., told her to either have an abortion or accept termination from the department’s cadet program at 18 years old.

“My choice to have a baby was personal and it should’ve been mine alone and not for an employer ultimatum,” Dickerson said in a Tuesday community meeting, Fox 5 reported. She went on to say that she does not have any children.

Dickerson and 9 other women are suing the MPD of D.C. for $100 million. The officers allege a culture of discrimination and harassment. One woman “had to do things no woman should ever have to do” in order to work on a schedule that was conducive to caring for her child as a single mother, Dickerson stated.

Another police officer from Dickerson’s recruit class, Karen Arikpo, said she faced the same abortion ultimatum as Dickerson when she was a cadet, Fox 5 reported. “It’s so unfair … and now I’ve never been able to have a kid. All these years, I’ve tried and I’ve never been able to have a baby,” she said. Arikpo said that if she could go back in time, she would have quit her job and kept her baby.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear arguments Dec. 1 in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case which could result in overruling Roe v. Wade.

The MPD of D.C. did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

‘World Record’ Snake Moved By Crane On Caribbean Island

A shocking video emerged online showing a ”world record” snake being moved by a crane in the Caribbean.

The massive snake was unearthed by workers clearing part of the Dominica rain forest, according to the New York Post.

In complete disbelief, the man filming the entire ordeal could be heard saying: “My mother, what?” as the crane lifted the 10-foot long snake into the air.

While the exact species of the snake is unknown, the Caribbean island of Dominica is home to an array of different wildlife due to its pleasant climate. The island that only measures 29 miles long and 16 miles wide is dubbed by many visitors as the ‘the Nature island’.

One snake species very prevalent on the island is the boa constrictor which can grow to about 13ft. The deadly snake grabs hold of their prey with their teeth first before wrapping themselves around their victim and constricting for the kill. Pythons, which follow the same characteristics as a boa constrictor, can be found worldwide and at times cause havoc. One example would be when a 12ft long Python escaped its enclosure at the Blue Zoo in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Since the debut of the video last week, it has amassed millions of views on social media.

“You could call me the new Rosa Parks,” leading QAnon conspiracy theorist and Arizona congressional candidate Ron Watkins told the crowd at a “Q” convention this weekend.

Watkins, who announced his candidacy for Congress last week, is likely best known as the administrator of 8kun (previously called 8chan), the site where the anonymous poster “Q” shared “deep state” conspiracy theories in support of former President Trump. The site is known for promoting hate, and it’s where at least three white nationalists posted their manifestos before embarking on mass shootings. Many, including an HBO documentary featuring Watkins called Q: Into the Storm, have theorized that Watkins himself is “Q.”

During his speech to the For God & Country Patriot Double-Down convention, which he was reportedly late for, Watkins promised to “take ‘the storm’ to Congress.” “The storm” is a term QAnon believers use to refer to the moment when they believe Trump will return to power and arrest a cabal of “deep state” Democratic operatives allegedly involved in a Satanic child sex trafficking ring.

He also spread election lies favored by “Q” believers. “I’m telling [the media], ‘Trump won. He did win,’ ” Watkins told the crowd, “And I’m telling them the election needs to be decertified and you know what? They’re putting me on TV, and they’re saying that.”

Watkins later attacked social media companies like Twitter, which banned him in the wake of the insurrection and farcically compared them kicking him off their platforms to what happened to civil rights activist Rosa Parks on a Montgomery, Ala., bus in 1955.

“We are living now through a modern digital civil rights movement and you could call me the new Rosa Parks. I’ve been out there, I’ve been getting canceled left and right the past few years,” he said. “I’ve been fighting so you guys can have a voice …. And you might say, ‘Why is Ron the new digital Rosa Parks?’ Well, I want to get on the bus. I want to get on the Twitter bus. I want to get on the Twitter bus. I want to get on the Twitter bus. I want to get on the Twitter bus. We have all been kicked off the bus!”

The conference was organized by The Patriot Voice, which was founded by John Sabal, also known as “QAnon John.” Organizers did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Rolling Stone.
