A number of meetings appear to be initiated by small but vocal anti-vaccine factions, as right-wing message boards fill with instructions on how to utilize an obscure Clinton-era executive order requiring OMB to solicit these meetings, with the goal of slowing or even stopping the process.

Biden has said the rule will apply to companies with more than 100 employees and will allow for coronavirus testing instead of mandatory vaccinations. What I'm curious about tho is what happens when Man goes & creates a man-made plague to "speed up" the culling of the Human Race? Does Nature not care how it gets done, as long as it gets done?

I wonder about that concept when I think about "God's chosen people" he talks about punishing their attackers or whatever for being evil & will one day come back to save all his people because the attackers attack again.

What happens when time has shown that his people can be corrupted & they wanted to "speed up" the saving, so they did bad things to turn evolved people into what they think God considers their attackers? White House Details Plan To "Quickly" Vaccinate 28 Million Children Age 5-11

 

The Biden administration on Wednesday unveiled its plan to 'quickly' vaccinate roughly 28 million children age 5-11, pending authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Federal regulators will meet over the next two weeks to weigh the benefits of giving shots to kids, after lengthy studies meant to ensure the safety of the vaccines.

 

Within hours of formal approval, expected after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory meeting scheduled for Nov. 2-3, doses will begin shipping to providers across the country, along with smaller needles necessary for injecting young kids, and within days will be ready to go into the arms of kids on a wide scale. -AP

 

According to the announcement, the White House has secured enough to supply more than 25,000 doses for pediatricians and primary care physicians who have already signed up to deliver the vaccine, while the country now has enough Pfizer vaccine to jab roughly 28 million kids who will soon be eligible, meaning this won't be a slow roll-out like we saw 10 months ago when doses and capacity issues meant adults had to wait.

 

Meanwhile, the White House is rolling out an 'advertising' campaign to convince parents and kids that the vaccine is safe and effective. Racine filed the lawsuit in 2018 following the Cambridge Analytica scandal, when it was revealed that the political consulting firm had scraped masses of user data from Facebook to provide information on populations of interest to political campaigns around the world.

 

The attorney general claimed on Wednesday that adding Zuckerberg to the lawsuit would β€œsend a message that corporate leaders, including the CEO, will be held accountable for their actions.”

 

According to the New York Times, Racine added Zuckerberg to the lawsuit after allegedly discovering that Facebook’s decision to give third parties more access to user information in 2010 was the β€œbrainchild” of its CEO.

 

A Facebook spokesperson, however, told the newspaper that Racine’s allegations were β€œas meritless today as they were more than three years ago, when the District filed its complaint,” and said the company would continue to defend itself β€œvigorously and focus on the facts.”

 

The maximum penalty for such a lawsuit would be $5,000 per victim. Since Racine has claimed that over 340,000 DC residents were affected, the total maximum penalty could potentially reach over $1.7 billion, reports have observed.

 

Facebook, in turn, could lobby for the removal of Zuckerberg as a defendant in the lawsuit.

Are Taliban Fighters Displaying Chinese Influence Already?

Alright, let me preface this by getting this out of the way right out of the gate. I cannot prove that the Chinese are influencing the Taliban on the ground in Afghanistan in a military training capacity in anyway whatsoever. Everything I write here is simply my own observations from the situation on the ground as it is currently unfolding. Now, that said, I'm going to editorialize at you for a few minutes.

 

Watching this video, a couple of things are abundantly clear. The Taliban are trying to seem like both a legitimate military force, and a legitimate government at the same time. That's why the Taliban fighters, who ten months ago were hiding in caves and rocking flip flops into battle, are now doing the goose-step in military parades, and why those same Taliban fighters are rocking 3M surgical masks to "protect" themselves from COVID-19.

 

Now, let's think about this logically for a second. The average Taliban fighters doesn't have access to Twitter. Even if he did, the average Taliban fighter can't read or write in any language. On top of this, the average Taliban fighter cut his teeth for war running up and down the sides of mountains lobbing RPGs at heavily armored vehicles. So, how then did these illiterate Taliban fighters figure out that wearing a surgical mask was the appropriate thing to do if they wanted to virtue signal their hopes for an end to the pandemic? More importantly, where did these guys start picking up professional military mannerisms and parade techniques?

 

Obviously, they look like goons regardless of how hard they try. They'll always be 8th Century Barbarians, and no amount of goose-stepping is going to change that. If I had to take one stab at who's teaching them these things, I'd have to point my finger towards China. When the Taliban started to take control of Afghanistan, China was the first country to raise their hand and recognize the Taliban as the true government of Afghanistan. When the Taliban decided it was time to start selling off mining rights to precious minerals in their homeland, China was the first country to raise their hands and put in a bid. I mean, it only makes sense, right?

β€œHow do we provide safe and secure elections in our state if the governor can’t even agree that we should be ensuring dead people aren’t on our voting rolls?” a sponsor of one the bills, Republican state Sen. Michael MacDonald, said in a statement following Whitmer’s vetoes on Friday.

 

One of the vetoed bills would have revised the administrative process for removing dead people from voter lists and required more frequent checks during the 45-day period before an election.

 

The bill passed through the state Senate and House with bipartisan support, and some clerks said the change would be welcomed.

 

Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum told the Detroit Free Press she had testified in favor of the change and said Friday she still supports the concept but had not discussed the veto with Whitmer…

Protesters claim Italian authorities tampered with β€˜live webcam’ to show empty square instead of huge anti-vaccine-passport rally

 

Protesters in Italy have claimed that the authorities rigged a supposedly live webcam to show an empty square in Trieste’s city center while it was packed with demonstrators against the vaccine passport mandate.

 

On Monday evening, crowds gathered in the Piazza Unita d’Italia in Trieste to protest against the government’s imposition of a β€˜green pass’. The government had made it a legal requirement for all workers to be vaccinated or provide a negative Covid-19 test from the previous 48 hours.

 

Videos from the square showed hundreds of people staging a sit-in in the northern Italian city, however, as highlighted by one of the protesters in a widely shared video, the city’s webcam suggested the piazza was almost empty.

 

The footage starts with the camera focusing in on a protester’s phone in which SkylineWebcams.com’s live stream for Trieste’s Piazza Unita d’Italia is shown. The empty square, as seen on the live webcam, appears to be in stark contrast to the reality, as the demonstrator pans their camera to show hundreds of people present in the Piazza Unita d’Italia.

 

Protesters and others online have accused the Italian authorities of tampering with the webcam to ensure news of the unrest did not travel far.

 

Others highlighted further discrepancies between the live webcam and the scenes in the square.

 

Trieste authorities have not commented on whether the feed was tampered with or whether some glitch occurred.

The city on the country’s border with Slovenia has been a hotspot for protests against the imposition of the so-called β€˜green pass’. Sit-in protests have been ongoing since Friday when the pass was introduced. On Monday, police clashed with protesters at the city’s port. Water cannon and tear gas were used to disperse demonstrators who vowed to bring the city to a halt.

 

According to Stefano Puzzer of the Port Workers Coordination of Trieste, some 40% of Trieste’s port workers are not vaccinated. The figure is not representative of the general Italian population, in which over 80% of those over 12 are fully vaccinated.

 

The β€˜green pass’ was implemented last Friday, having been voted into law in September.

UK govt must crack down on apps promoting extremism, Labour leader Starmer says, taking special aim at Telegram

 

The UK government must do more to crack down on platforms that fail to tackle violent content online, Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer has said, taking special aim at messenger app Telegram.

 

Speaking on Wednesday at a Prime Minister's Questions session, the leader of the opposition slammed Telegram, saying that it has been described as the "app of choice for extremists."

 

Starmer also said that, while tributes were being made to MP Sir David Amess, who was stabbed to death last Friday in Essex, in what Scotland Yard declared a terrorist incident possibly linked to Islamist extremism, the app's users could access "videos of murders and violent threats against politicians, the LGBT community, women and Jews."

 

He quoted an anti-racism advocacy group, saying Telegram had "facilitated a subculture that cheerleads for terrorists" and insisted "tough sanctions are clearly needed." He asked Prime Minister Boris Johnson why the directors of apps that are failing to clamp down on online extremism are not facing "criminal" penalties.

 

Telegram, however, has taken steps in the past to protect its users against terrorism. In December 2016 it announced that the app was routinely removing up to 70 Islamic State channels per month. In a joint operation conducted in late 2019 with Europol, the platform said it had purged 43,000 terrorist-related user accounts.

 

Starmer's remarks come after media reports emerged that Amess' suspected killer, Ali Harbi Ali, had been radicalised by extremist content online.

 

In the wake of the fatal stabbing, Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary Dominic Raab said that there was "a case" for removing the right to anonymity, as internet users should not be able to "abuse their position on social media from a veil of anonymity."

Senator Joe Manchin - the moderate Democrat from West Virginia whose insistence on a smaller social infrastructure bill has become a flashpoint within the Democratic party over more than $4.5 trillion in proposed legislation, is considering leaving the Democratic party and has an exit plan to do so, according to Mother Jones' David Corn (of Russiagate-peddling fame).

 

According to Corn, Manchin has told associates 'in recent days' that he might leave the Democratic party if President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats don't slash their social spending plan from $3.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion - and that if he left, he would declare himself an "American Independent."

 

He told associates that he has a two-step plan for exiting the party. First, he would send a letter to Sen. Chuck Schumer, the top Senate Democrat, removing himself from the Democratic leadership of the Senate. (He is vice chairman of the Senate Democrats’ policy and communications committee.) Manchin hopes that would send a signal. He would then wait and see if that move had any impact on the negotiations. After about a week, he said, he would change his voter registration from Democrat to independent. -Mother Jones

 

Manchin - as well as Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) - are two crucial Senate votes needed by Democrats to pass any legislation via reconciliation (a simple majority), due to Democrats' vanishingly slim margin in the chamber. Both moderate Democrats have to sign off on partisan legislation to achieve the required 51 votes (with VP Harris as tie-breaker).

 

Meanwhile, progressive House Democrats refuse to sign off on the Senate-passed $1.2 trillion infrastructure package unless the $3.5 trillion plan is passed.

 

According to the report, Manchin told associates that he was ready to initiate his exit plan earlier this week - and floated the idea to Biden, but that he was encouraged by talks with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and top Democrats, who he's met with recently. That said, he believes it's likely that he will leave the party by November 2022.

 

Manchin has repeatedly said that he has a significant philosophical difference with most of his fellow Democrats. He has told reporters that he believes major programs in the Build Back Better bill would move the United States toward an β€œentitlement mentality” and that he cannot accept that. In a recent meeting with Biden, Manchin told the president that he sees government as a partner with the public not the ultimate provider, according to people who heard the senator’s account of the conversation. He explained to the president that in his view Biden didn’t win the presidency last year by championing progressive proposals, and he pressed the president to recall his campaign promise to bring people together. He also reminded Biden that he has vowed not to support any package unless it contains the Hyde Amendment, which bans the use of federal funds to pay for abortions, except in cases of incest or when the life of the mother is at risk. -Mother Jones

 

All of that said, we're not sure how much on an impact a Mansion defection would have over negotiations - since he's essentially a Republican in the eyes of his party.

Ghislaine Maxwell is fighting to ban any of her accusers from being called β€œvictims” at her upcoming sex-trafficking trial β€” as well as any mention of β€œrape” by her late boss Jeffrey Epstein, court documents show.

 

The accused madam’s legal team filed motions in Manhattan federal court late Monday seeking to have 13 items excluded ahead of her trial next month.

 

They include a β€œmotion to preclude testimony about any alleged β€˜rape’ by Jeffrey Epstein” as well as a β€œmotion to preclude reference to the accusers as β€œvictims” or β€œminor victims.”

 

Others include a bid to β€œexclude evidence related to accuser-3,” who was not identified in the filing, as well as any law enforcement witnesses from offering β€œexpert opinion testimony.”

 

The filing also seeks to forbid any mention of β€œalleged flight,” preventing prosecutors from suggesting the 59-year-old media heiress was on the run when she was busted in July last year in a New Hampshire estate called β€œTucked Away.”

 

Another motion was to β€œexclude evidence of Ms. Maxwell’s alleged false statements” and β€œallegations related to the perjury counts” from her earlier on-the-record testimony in lawsuits.

 

There is also a motion to β€œexclude items purportedly seized during search of 358 El Brillo Way on October 20, 2005” β€” referring to Epstein’s former mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

 

Judge Alison Nathan has yet to rule on the motions.

 

Maxwell has been held without bail since her arrest, accused of procuring underage girls for multimillionaire pedophile Epstein to abuse in the 1990s and early 2000s.

 

She’s pleaded not guilty to the charges and requested five times that she be let out on bail pending trial. She was denied each time.

 

Her legal team has repeatedly complained about conditions in her Brooklyn lockup, as well as unfair press coverage that they’ve argued left her β€œtried, convicted, and condemned in the court of public opinion.”

 

The next hearing is a telephone conference Thursday ahead of a β€œfirm trial date” of Nov. 29.

 

Epstein killed himself while awaiting trial for sex trafficking in a Lower Manhattan jail cell shortly after his arrest in 2019.

Gates Foundation to Fund $120 Million of Oral COVID-19 Drug for Poor Nations

 

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in its COVID-19 response, will fund up to $120 million to increase access to an experimental drug for lower-income countries, which will be used in treating COVID-19, the foundation announced on Tuesday.

BlackByte ransomware decryptor released to recover files for free

 

A free decryptor for the BlackByte ransomware has been released, allowing past victims to recover their files for free.

 

When executed, most ransomware will generate a unique encryption key per file or a single key per machine known as sessions keys used to encrypt a victim's device.

 

These keys are then encrypted with a public RSA key and appended to the end of an encrypted file or a ransom note. This encrypted key can now only be decrypted by the associated private decryption key known only to the ransomware operation.

 

This makes it so threat actors can decrypt the encrypted keys when a victim pays a ransom.

BlackByte reused encryption keys

 

In a report by Trustwave, researchers explain that the ransomware was downloading a file called 'forest.png' from a remote site under their control. While this file is named to appear as an image file, it actually contains the AES encryption key used to encrypt a device.

 

As BlackByte uses AES symmetrical encryption, the same key is used for both the encryption and decryption of files.

 

While BlackByte also encrypts this downloaded AES encryption key and appends it to the ransom note, Trustwave discovered that the ransomware gang was reusing the same forest.png file for multiple victims.

 

As the same 'raw' encryption key was being reused, Trustwave could use that key to build a decryptor that recovers a victim's files for free.

 

However, there are always drawbacks when releasing free decryptors like this as it alerts the ransomware gangs of the bugs in their programs and quickly fixed.

 

Trustwave's report and decryptor did not go unnoticed by the ransomware gang, who warned that they have used more than one key and that utilizing the decryptor with the wrong key would corrupt a victim's files.

Today, five Democratic Senators, including the Chair of the Senate Banking Committee, Sherrod Brown, sent a scorching letter to Mark Zuckerberg, Chairman and CEO of Facebook, telling him that Facebook β€œcannot be trusted to manage a payment system or digital currency when its existing ability to manage risks and keep consumers safe has proven wholly insufficient.” The letter demanded that Zuckerberg back off plans to launch a cryptocurrency and digital wallet.

 

The letter was authored by Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut), Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts), and Tina Smith (D-Minnesota).

 

The Senators wrote:

 

β€œGiven the scope of the scandals surrounding your company, we write to voice our strongest opposition to Facebook’s revived effort to launch a cryptocurrency and digital wallet, now branded β€˜Diem’ and β€˜Novi,’ respectively. In October 2019, Senators Schatz and Brown wrote to members of the Diem Association’s predecessor, the Libra Association, and expressed deep concerns about the risks the project posed to consumers and the financial system. Facebook subsequently shelved Libra amid regulatory scrutiny, but you did not address our concerns before resuming this endeavor.”

 

The Senators also reminded Zuckerberg that Facebook has a history of β€œmoving fast and breaking things” and β€œmisleading Congress in order to do so.”

Biden’s EPA Faces Lawsuit for Illegally Stacking Science Advisory panels

 

If unchecked, EPA Administrator Michael Regan’s β€œclimate action plan” will lead to a climate crisis….one involving economics rather than weather.

 

Legal Insurrection readers may recall that in September, in a break from β€œpresidential norms,” the Biden administration asked 12 officials appointed to military service academy advisory boards by former President Donald Trump to resign or face dismissal.

 

That isn’t the only havoc Biden has been wreaking among important government boards, either. A new lawsuit claims Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan has illegally fired dozens of independent scientific advisers from two key committees earlier this year and replaced them with academics dependent on the agency for grant money.

 

Stanley Young, a statistician who has worked on pharmaceutical research and is a former member of the EPA’s Science Advisory Board (SAB), alleged in a complaint filed in Washington, DC federal court Thursday that the March 31 purge by Regan showed that the agency β€œhas a problem with dissent.”

 

Regan bounced all 47 members of the SAB, including Young, as well as all seven members of the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC). In a statement at the time, Regan justified the move by citing β€œprocess irregularities” under the Trump administration β€” including an October 2017 ban on academics and non-government officials in receipt of EPA grants simultaneously serving on the advisory panels, which the administrator said β€œsignificantly restrict[ed] member eligibility.”

 

I covered several Obama-era cases of abuse and inept actions the EPA took, most famously the β€œYellow River” debacle. Having at least a few impartial representatives among the sea of green justice advocates could be critical.

 

According to court filings, Young v. EPA asserts that when Regan removed all industry-focused officials, he violated the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). This act, enacted in 1972, ensured advice provided by committees is β€œobjective” and accessible by the public.

 

β€œIn its haste to eliminate all traces of industry from its advisory committees, EPA ran roughshod over FACA and its obligation to engage in reasoned decision-making,” the filings read.

 

The suit said 47 officials have been appointed to the SBA and seven as CASAC members – but not a single member is affiliated with a regulated industry.

 

In failing to comply with FACA, the filings allege the EPA further violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA).

 

β€œIndustry representation is essential because industry inputs inform the advice of both the Board and the Committee, and the committees’ advice and the resulting EPA actions significantly affect numerous regulated industries,” the suit reads.

Facebook Launches Major Corporate Rebrand To "Metaverse" As Zuck Tries To Move On From Scandals

 

After announcing plans to hire 10,000 workers in Europe (despite a looming global corporate tax agreement that could substantially increase his firm's tax burden) to get to work on building the Facebook Metaverse - before Microsoft or Roblox, or - even worse - some scrappy newcomer, can beat them to the punch - Facebook has just leaked a massive scoop to the Verge.

 

In a move that, in a way, resembles Google's big corporate re-brand to 'Alphabet' in 2015 (and also, in a way, the defense contractor formerly known as Blackwater's numerous name changes over the years to help move past reputational damage) the social media behemoth has decided to 'rebrand' and change its official corporate name from 'Facebook' to, well, something having to do with "the Metaverse."

 

In keeping with the 'rebranding' theme we mentioned above, some high-level source at Facebook (Zuckerberg?) told the Verge that the decision is meant to "signal the tech giant's ambition to be known for more than social media and all the ills that entail."

 

The coming name change, which CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to talk about at the company’s annual Connect conference on October 28th, but could unveil sooner, is meant to signal the tech giant’s ambition to be known for more than social media and all the ills that entail. The rebrand would likely position the blue Facebook app as one of many products under a parent company overseeing groups like Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and more. A spokesperson for Facebook declined to comment for this story.

 

Of course, we'd be remiss without sharing a few notes on the timing of this leaked announcement. Facebook's attempt to publicly pivot away from its social media mainstays comes at a time when:

Whistleblower Frances Haugen's explosive claims, in leaked documents and in Congressional testimony, are only a couple of weeks in the rearview

Just yesterday, Democratic Sens. Warren and Brown demanded the company halt its stablecoin pilot project meant to provide virtually free remittance payments between the US and Guatemala.

 

Even without the new hires in Europe, Facebook already has more than 10,000 employees building AR glasses that Zuckerberg believes will eventually be as ubiquitous as smartphones. In July, he told The Verge that, over the next several years, "we will effectively transition from people seeing us as primarily being a social media company to being a metaverse company."

 

But here's the real key line in the Verge report: "a rebrand could also serve to further separate the futuristic work Zuckerberg is focused on from the intense scrutiny Facebook is currently under for the way its social platform operates today."

Report: Israel Approves $1.5 Billion Budget for Potential Attack on Iran

 

The funds could be used to purchase bunker busters and bombers that can carry the munitions

 

According to a report from Israel’s Channel 12, the Israeli government approved a $1.5 billion budget to prepare for a potential attack on Iran.

 

The extra funds would be used to purchase additional aircraft, surveillance drones, and the munitions needed to strike Iran’s underground nuclear facilities. The report said about $620 million would come from the 2022 military budget, and the rest of the funds would come from this year’s budget.

 

For years, Israel has been seeking bunker-busting bombs that could penetrate Iran’s underground facilities. If they did acquire the munitions, Israel would also need bombers capable of carrying them, something it currently doesn’t have. The US tested a new 5,000-pound bunker buster earlier this month, which Israeli media interpreted as a possible message to Iran.

 

In July, it was reported that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) requested additional funds for next year’s budget to prepare for operations against Iran. Throughout the year, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi has repeatedly said the IDF is β€œaccelerating” plans to strike Iran, and Israeli politicians have constantly been threatening the Islamic Republic.

 

Israel frequently carries out covert attacks against Iran’s civilian nuclear program, but the IDF planning suggests an overt operation could happen in the future. The US has joined Israel in issuing threats against Iran. Last week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken hinted at military action against Iran alongside Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid. Blinken said if diplomacy with Iran fails, the US will turn to β€œother options.”

 

Lapid made clear that one of Blinken’s β€œoptions” was military action. β€œI would like to start by repeating what the Secretary of State just said. Yes, other options are going to be on the table if diplomacy fails. And by saying other options, I think everybody understands here … what is it that we mean,” Lapid said.

Cheney: Bannon's actions suggest Trump was involved in Capitol riot planning

 

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said late Tuesday that former White House strategist Stephen Bannon’s refusal to cooperate with the House committee investigating the Capitol riot suggests former President Trump was "personally involved in the planning and execution of January 6th."

 

"Based on the committee’s investigation, it appears that Mr. Bannon had substantial advance knowledge of the plans for Jan. 6 and likely had an important role in formulating those plans. Mr. Bannon was in the war room at the Willard on Jan. 6. He also appears to have detailed knowledge regarding the president’s efforts to sell millions of Americans the fraud that the election was stolen," Cheney said as the panel voted unanimously to hold Bannon in contempt and refer him to the Justice Department for criminal charges.

 

Cheney also said that Bannon and Trump's privilege arguments "do appear to reveal one thing."

 

"They suggest that President Trump was personally involved in the planning and execution of Jan. 6," she said. "And we will get to the bottom of that."

 

The committee said Monday that it contacted Bannon’s attorney multiple times seeking information in its investigation but did not receive an answer.

 

The full House will vote Thursday to hold Bannon in contempt after he refused to provide information despite a congressional subpoena.

 

Legal experts say the committee might have to pursue a civil suit again Bannon if the Justice Department chooses not to formally charge him.

 

Cheney has emerged as one of the top Republican critics of Trump.

 

Ahead of the vote on Tuesday, Trump said in a statement that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was unable to put "real Republicans' on the panel, "so they got stuck with low-polling warmonger Liz Cheney."

A new exhibition by the Israel Antiquities Authority in Kibbutz Ginossar’s Yigal Allon Center offers a glimpse of how the Sages managed to rebuild a community in the Galilee in the centuries that followed the great tragedy.

The β€œSanhedrin Trail” features over 150 objects from the late Second Temple period and the following centuries, some of them on display for the first time, including an imposing stone engraved with a depiction of the Temple. It presents a deeper look into the hiking trail, inaugurated in 2017, connecting different sites from those centuries.

The Great Sanhedrin was the assembly of 71 Sages which acted as the supreme court for the Jewish people.

After the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE, it was relocated several times, the Talmud recalls.

 

β€œThe Sanhedrin was exiled in ten stages at the end of the Second Temple period and after the destruction of the Temple. This is known from tradition. It moved from β€œthe Chamber of Hewn Stone, its fixed seat in the Temple, to αΈ€anut, literally, shop, a designated spot on the Temple Mount outside the Temple proper; and from αΈ€anut to Jerusalem; and from Jerusalem to Yavne;” reads a passage of the Rosh Hashanah Tractate (31a) as translated by the William Davidson Edition of the Talmud.

Located in the central part of the Land of Israel, according to Jewish tradition, β€œYavne and its Sages” were the reward requested by Rabbi Yohanan Ben Zakkai to Roman general Vespasian after predicting that he would become the new emperor.

β€œAnd from Yavne [The Sanhedrin moved to] to Usha; and from Usha it returned to Yavne; and from Yavne it went back to Usha; and from Usha to Shfaram; and from Shfaram to Beit She’arim; and from Beit She’arim to Tzipori; and from Tzipori to Tiberias,” the passage continues.

The history and life of the five centers in the Galilee, Usha, Shfaram, Beit She’arim, Tzipori and Tiberias is one of the focuses of the exhibition.

Artifacts on display include an oil lamp, inscriptions featuring the words β€˜shalom’ and β€˜shabbat’, and sages’ names such as Yaakov and Shimon in Hebrew and in Aramaic, and a hoard of silver and bronze coins from the time of the revolt against the Romans led by Shimon Bar Kokhba (132-135 CE), which was found in the middle of a burned building, suggesting the heavy toll that the conflict exacted even in the Galilee.

In addition, for the first time, the public is offered the opportunity to see the original Magdala Stone.

The stone was found in 2009 in Magdala, a large Jewish settlement during the early Roman period located on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee.

The Age of Chatham House and the British Roots of NATO

 

With the expulsion of half of Russian’s diplomatic delegation to NATO, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Dimitry Peskov stated that β€œNATO is not an instrument of cooperation, not an instrument for interaction; it is a bloc that overall is anti-Russian in nature… These actions, of course, do not allow us to pretend there is a possibility of normalizing relations and resuming dialogue with NATO. Instead, these prospects are undermined almost completely.”

 

Unfortunately, with these and other belligerent actions which are propelling the world ever closer to WWIII, too many onlookers continue to see NATO as a purely American imperial institution without any regard for the actual center of global power that has sought to destroy not only Russia, but the United States itself since long before the Cold War ever began.

 

While this might appear paradoxical on the surface, the paradox can easily be resolved by recognizing that there have been since 1776, not one, but TWO opposing dynamics operating within America. Where only one is in alignment of the ideals of the Constitution and Declaration of independence, the other is entirely in alignment with the ideals of the British Empire and hereditary institutions from which it supposedly broke away.

 

One America has been defended by great leaders who are too often identified by their untimely deaths while in office, who consistently advanced anti-colonial visions for a world of sovereign nations, win-win cooperation, and the extension of constitutional rights to all classes and races both within America and abroad. The other America has sought only to enmesh itself with the British Empire’s global regime of finance, exploitation, population control and never-ending wars.

Lord Lothian and the White Man’s Burden

 

These two Americas frustrated Round Table controller Sir Philip Kerr (later β€œLord Lothian”) in 1918 who wrote to his fellow Round Tabler Lionel Curtis explaining the β€œAmerican problem” with the following words:

 

”There is a fundamentally different concept in regard to this question between Great Britain … and the United States …. as to the necessity of civilized control over politically backward peoples…. The inhabitants of Africa and parts of Asia have proved unable to govern themselves … because they were quite unable to withstand the demoralizing influences [i.e. their desire for modernization and independence–ed.] to which they were subjected in some civilized countries, so that the intervention of an European power is necessary in order to protect them from those influences. The American view… is quite different… The extent of this work after the war, sometimes known as the white man’s burden, will be so vast that it will never be accomplished at all unless it is shared… Yet America not only has no conception of this aspect of the problem but has been led to believe that the assumption of this kind of responsibility is iniquitous imperialism. They take an attitude towards the problem of world government exactly analogous to the one they [earlier] took toward the problem of the world war…. β€œIf they are slow in learning we shall be condemned to a period … of strained relations between the various parts of the English-speaking world. At the time of Kerr’s writing, the British Roundtable, led by Lord Milner had just orchestrated a British coup in 1916 ousting Labour’s Herbert Asquith in order to bring Milner’s Round Table group into dominance as a shaper of imperial foreign policy at a pivotal moment in history. This coup allowed this group to define the terms of the Post-war world at Versailles).

 

These imperialists were obsessed with ending the dangerous spread of anti-colonial feelings from India, Ireland, Africa and other nations who firmly believed their sacrifices in WWI merited their independence. Most dangerous of all was that their sentiments were very much shared by many leading members of the American government who rejected the evil philosophical roots of the β€œwhite man’s burden”.

Police investigate pornographic video shown on KREM’s evening newscast

A local news station is under investigation after a pornographic video played during the 6 p.m. newscast Sunday evening.

KREM 2 viewers called the police after an explicit video appeared to be playing on a screen behind a broadcaster delivering the weather forecast.

Police said the video lasted about 10 second before it was removed.

The Spokane Police Department’s special victims unit is investigating how the image appeared and where it came from. Police said KREM personnel are cooperating with the investigation.

Anne Bentley, Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, at TEGNA, KREM 2’s parent company said in an email the company immediately issued an apology to viewers.

β€œWe apologized to our viewers last night during our 11pm newscast β€” β€˜Those of us here at KREM 2 want to apologize for something that happened in our 6 p.m. newscast tonight. An inappropriate video aired in the first part of the show. We are diligently working to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again,” Bentley wrote on behalf of KREM in an email.

Bentley declined to answer questions about the incident. KREM has not released a statement about the situation on its website or via Twitter or Facebook.

The station could face significant fines from the Federal Communications Commission. In 2012 a news station in Roanoke, VA had a similar incident when sexually explicit material was broadcast briefly on the evening news.

The FCC ruled the station violated federal law by airing β€œindecent programing from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. when there is a reasonable risk that children may be in the audience,” according to the Roanoke Times.

The station was fined $350,000 in 2015 for the incident, the highest fine ever at the time for a single indecent broadcast.

Dr. Charles McVety, the president of Canada Christian College, tells David Menzies why he thinks Premier Ford's government is in a conflict of interest position when it comes to vaccine mandates.

 

At a Queen’s Park press conference, Dr. Charles McVety, president of Canada Christian College and School of Graduate Theological Studies in Whitby, Ont., alleged that the Ontario government is in a conflict of interest position regarding its relationship with Rubicon Strategy Inc.

 

Rubicon represents dozens of pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer and AstraZeneca, both of which manufacture COVID-19 vaccines. The crux of the matter: the co-founder of Rubicon is Kory Teneycke; Teneycke was also the campaign manager for the Ontario's Progressive Conservative Party in 2018 and will apparently be resuming that role next year.

 

But McVety alleges that Teneycke has the ear of Premier Doug Ford, which might explain why Premier Ford was dead-set against vaccine passports for the province in July only to do an inexplicable backflip in August stating that a vaccine passport program is a good idea. McVety estimates that Pfizer and AstraZeneca have made β€œhundreds of millions of dollars in Ontario” thanks to Ontarians getting jabbed.

 

McVety questions how Teneycke can be β€œallowed to influence decisions which ultimately profit his own company, while countless Ontarians suffer?" While it is obvious that these pharmaceutical companies are massively profiting off of the COVID-19 pandemic, a key question remains unanswered: how much money have these corporations paid Rubicon? Our democracy is based on equality, fairness, and freedom. It must not be for sale to the highest bidder. It is a sad day when mega-corporations can pay for undue governmental influence. Every Ontarian should be rightly afraid of a system that allows anyone to purchase legislative power under the cover of media silence.”

 

In an interview with Rebel News, McVety alleges that Teneycke is also the influencer behind Canada Chrisitan College being denied university credentials. McVety claims the unspoken reason why Teneycke has contempt for his educational institution is due to Teneycke being β€œan atheist.”

 

We reached out to Kory Teneycke for comment and he made the following six points:

 

  1. He didn’t lobby for mandates;

  2. The purchaser of the vaccines is the federal government, not the provincial governments;

  3. His firm, Rubicon, lobbied for vaccines (not Kory himself);

  4. Pfizer was never a client (but rather, the vaccine industry group was);

  5. He was not involved on Canada Christian College issues β€” those decisions predated Kory; Kory would say follow the process;

  6. Kory works for the PC party, not the government β€” his comments to MPPs was in that capacity.

 

It should be noted that McVety is a long-time friend of the Ford family and was a huge supporter of Doug Ford when he ran for the leadership of the PC Party.

 

But it would appear that relationship is strained these days.

 

Says McVety: β€œThe premier no longer answers my phone calls, let me put it that way.” (Premier Ford was not in the legislature on Tuesday, even though the house only resumed sitting on Monday after a four-month recess.)

 

McVety notes that he is himself double-vaccinated, but he does not believe people should be forced to get the jabs or lose their jobs.

The DARPA program was canceled in 2004 after criticism from civil libertarians concerning the privacy implications of the system.

 

Generically, the term lifelog or flog is used to describe a storage system that can automatically and persistently record and archive some informational dimension of an object's (object lifelog) or user's (user lifelog) life experience in a particular data category.

 

News reports in the media described LifeLog as the "diary to end all diaries β€” a multimedia, digital record of everywhere you go and everything you see, hear, read, say and touch."[3]

 

According to U.S. government officials, LifeLog is not connected with Total Information Awareness.[3]

Saudi authorities said they have arrested 21 people accused of corruption and fraud, the kingdom’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced in Twitter thread titled No_place_for_corrupts_amongst_us.

 

β€œThe Authority has initiated a number of criminal cases lately, and legal procedures against the accused individuals are underway,” the agency said.

 

Nazaha was established in 2011 to promote integrity and transparency and fight corruption in the kingdom. In 2018, the agency launched a smartphone application that allows users to report graft. The agency has been receiving thousands of reports annually.

 

In the latest round of arrests, authorities have nabbed public officials who allegedly received bribes to issue permits that should not have been issued or fix other administrative problems.

 

Among the accused are also managers of companies, bank employees, doctors and citizens who paid the bribes.

 

In one case, an officer working in one of the region's prison administration was arrested for receiving money to illegally release a detainee, and in another, two women were arrested for starting and managing a charitable association and collecting donations from which they would transfer up to US$199,513 to their personal accounts.

 

Among the arrested are two doctors affiliated with the Ministry of Health and three marketers for a milk manufacturer. The doctors are charged with taking bribes for issuing incorrect medical prescriptions in order to dispense baby milk the three marketers planned to resell to increase their sales.

 

Nazaha intensified its work in 2017, when the kingdom started its anti-corruption campaign and shocked the public with the arrest of hundreds of members of the country’s elite, including princes, ministers and businessmen.

 

All of them found themselves locked in luxury hotels, mainly the Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh. Some were seen sleeping on the floor in the lobby.

 

Most of them agreed to settle charges brought against them, which injected over $100 billion into the country’s treasury. The operation that targeted the kingdom’s top was led by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

 

The crown prince was seen as a reformer but also as someone who wanted to make it clear who is in charge in Saudi Arabia and his anti-corruption episode as a power-grab. He dismissed this claim as β€œludicrous.”

 

The prince’s international image was later stained by the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

 

The anti-corruption campaign that targeted the top of the country ended in 2019 and since then focused on lower-level officials.

 

Nazaha also announced that five people were sentenced to years-long prison terms for corruption. A former colonel at the Ministry of Defense was given 10 years for bribery, embezzlement, forgery and money laundering.

 

The other four were sent behind bars for up to four years for bribery.

MOAB, Utah – A horrific double murder that rocked Utah’s scenic Moab community in mid-August remains unsolved one month later, leaving residents concerned for their safety and also worried that another missing person case – that of Gabby Petito – may be overshadowing it.

 

Crystal Turner, 38, and Kylen Schulte, 24, were found dead on Aug. 18 with multiple gunshot wounds in the South Mesa area of the La Sal Loop Road, police said last month. They had last been seen alive on Aug. 13 at Woody’s Tavern in downtown Moab.

 

Cindy Sue Hunter, a friend of the victims, told Fox News she set out to look for them around 11 a.m. on the day they were found.

"I felt that Crystal was further south and that she had been brutalized more than Kylen; it’s just a feeling I have," she said.

 

The couple had told friends earlier that a suspicious man was creeping them out near their campsite and that they wanted to move.

 

"We don’t think they got a chance to," Hunter said. "We think they were ambushed."
