Western Gale: Watching the Water

Friday and Saturday saw many manipulations to the North Pacific. Two low pressure zones danced south of Alaska. Many occurrences of right angles keeping them in place and lots of heavy spraying of particulates (to hold water).

Today, more angles but are further south in the heart of the storm.

I'm drying the back side of the storm best I can and there is an opening in pressure zones to the south to enable the movement of the weather vs [their] projected lingering. More incoming.

Doing what I can here. Tired from night shift and must sleep.

Anyone feeling the urge to test the spraying vinegar technique, jump in. Storm is already there, so expect more rain for a few minutes. Yes, it sucks. Uncles, brother, father's family thinks i am crazy. But i'm still in contact with them; they may do what they want to do, i can't wake them up anymore.

And i'm now comfortable with that; as long as they're comfortable with my choices it's going quite good.

But there were some little fights and periods of contact-silence.

 

But i can imagine if i had a relation and in that case my wife for example had a totally different opinion than me, i don't think i could deal with that in a relation ;)

Has he even considered how many parents would even want to get their kids vaccinated? Most parents I’ve talked to have said they wouldn’t. As unscientific as that survey may be, I do not doubt that a significant percentage of parents won’t get their kids vaccinated from COVID. They’ve had their kids vaccinated against other diseases, so they’re not anti-vaxxers by any means. They just understand that kids are overwhelmingly safe from COVID, and it’s not worth giving them a new vaccine when we can’t assess the long-term effects yet.

 

Does that matter to the Biden administration? It doesn’t seem so. And, given the steps he’s already taken, I’m greatly concerned about just how far he’s willing to take his vaccination initiative. He’s already announced a vaccine mandate for private employees of companies with 100 or more people. Would he usurp parental rights to get as many kids vaccinated as possible?

 

It sounds absurd… at first, but Biden already has a plan to get kids vaccinated, which promises to β€œmobilize a comprehensive effort across the public and private sectors to ensure that we have the supply, the sites, and the support needed to get our nation’s children vaccinated and protected against the virus.”

China’s Debt-Ridden Evergrande Resumes Work on More Than 10 Property Projects

 

BEIJINGβ€”China Evergrande Group said on Sunday it had resumed work on more than 10 projects in six cities including Shenzhenβ€”a statement that comes after it appeared to avert default with a last-minute bond coupon payment last week.

 

Evergrande, deep in crisis with more than $300 billion in liabilities, has not disclosed how many of its 1,300 real estate projects across China it has had to halt work on.

 

The company said on Aug. 31 that some projects were suspended because of delays in payment to suppliers and contractors and it was negotiating to resume building.

 

On Sunday, it said in a post on its Wechat account that some of the projects it had resumed work on had entered the interior decoration stage while other buildings had recently finished construction.

 

Evergrande added that its efforts to guarantee construction would shore up market confidence and included several photos of construction workers on different projects, stamped with the time and date.

 

China’s second-largest property developer last month also promised potential buyers it will complete the building of their homes and said that work on one of the world’s biggest soccer stadiums in the southern city of Guangzhou was proceeding as planned.

 

Last week’s move to pay $83.5 million in interest on a U.S. dollar bond has bought Evergrande another week to wrestle with a debt crisis looming over the world’s second-biggest economy.

 

Highlighting the stresses on its core business, Evergrande also announced on Friday plans to give future priority to its electric vehicles business over real estate.

 

Evergrande’s woes have reverberated across the $5 trillion Chinese property sector, which accounts for a quarter of the economy by some metrics, with a string of default announcements, rating downgrades, and slumping corporate bonds.

Lira Tumbles To New Record Low As Critics Blast Erdogan's Ambassador Expulsion Scandal

 

Following Erdogan's Friday tirade, lashing out at Western countries for issuing a joint letter demanding the immediate release of jailed Turkish billionaire philanthropist businessman and opposition politician Osman Kavala, which was followed by the president's threat that he had ordered ten ambassadors - including the US - to be deemed 'persona non grata' by Turkey's government, the Turkish lira weakened to another record low against the dollar after electronic trading reopened early in the Asian session.

 

Around 4pm ET Sunday afternoon, the lira tumbled 1.6% to a new record low against the dollar of 9.73 at the opening of Asian trading; this following the bigger-than-expected rate cut on Thursday despite rising inflation which sparked a furious selloff in the country's currency as the move was widely derided as a dramatic and reckless and followed's Erdogan's erratic firing of three central bankers the week prior.

 

The non grata designation targeted the ambassadors of US, Germany, France, Canada, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Turkish opposition leaders slammed Erdogan's lashing out against the United States embassy and other allied Western countries as nothing but a major effort at distraction from Turkey's economic tailspin and disaster in the making:

Erdogan has dominated Turkish politics for two decades but support for his ruling alliance has eroded ahead of elections scheduled for 2023, partly because of high inflation.

 

Emre Peker, from the London-based consultancy Eurasia Group, said the threat of expulsions at a time of economic difficulties was "at best ill-considered, and at worst a foolish gambit to bolster Erdogan's plummeting popularity".

 

"Erdogan has to project power for domestic political reasons," he said.

 

Erdogan's anger erupted after the ambassadors of Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, New Zealand and the United States issued a joint statement on Oct. 18, calling for a just and speedy resolution to Kavala's case, and for his "urgent release".

Colombia Getting Ready to Extradite Most Wanted Drug Dealer Otoniel to US - Minister

 

The Colombian government is planning to extradite the captured drug lord Dairo Antonio Usuga, also known as Otoniel, who is the head of the "Gulf Clan" (Clan del Golfo), to the United States, Defense Minister Diego Molano says.

Molano told the El Tiempo newspaper that the next step following the capture of the most-wanted drug trafficker in Colombia is to comply with the request for extradition by the US authorities.

Otoniel has more than 100 lawsuits filed against him in Colombia and he was also on the Interpol red list and on the US Drug Enforcement Agency's most wanted list. The United States had reportedly placed a $5 million bounty on his head.

Colombian President Ivan Duque said in a public address broadcast on Twitter on Saturday that the capture of Otoniel was a major blow to drug trafficking and was comparable to the fall of drug lord Pablo Escobar in the 1990s.

Otoniel was captured in Necocli, Antioquia Department, as part of special operation Osiris conducted jointly by the police and the military with the support of agencies in the US and the United Kingdom, according to Duque. The drug lord was then transferred by plane to Colombia’s capital, Bogota.

The president called on the remaining members of the Gulf Clan to turn themselves in or face the same fate as that of Otoniel.

According to Molano, the capture of the Gulf Clan’s leader means that the government has achieved victory over drug trafficking in the country, since the clan had been responsible for most of Colombia's exports and distribution of cocaine.

Last year, Colombia had 143,000 hectares of illegal coca plantations and the country remains the world’s top producer of coca, according to the United Nations.

Investigators used dental records to confirm the identity of 50-year-old Jacob Cefolia of Elmhurst, according to the DuPage County coroner.

 

Contractors found the remains Friday afternoon in an area of heavy brush and vegetation at the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve near Darien.

 

DuPage Forest Preserve Police Chief David Pederson said investigators found no signs of foul play, although the cause was death wasn't immediately determined.

 

Cefolia, who was a senior vice president of worldwide sales for Chicago-based United, was reported missing in August 2020. His vehicle was found parked at the forest preserve but he wasn't found despite what officials called an extensive search at the time.

We respectfully submit this open letter to express our most sincere concerns and resolute stand against the forced coercive medical intervention of Canadians, and against the undue discrimination experienced by those exercising their lawful right to bodily autonomy. We are not against vaccinations, but as law enforcement officers, we cannot in good conscience willingly participate in enforcing mandates that we believe go against the best interests of the people we protect.

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As Canadians, our constitutionally-protected freedoms precede the government, and may only be temporarily limited if the majority of evidence justifies such infringements as reasonable, provable, and guided by law. If presented with all available evidence in a court, we firmly believe the government implemented mandates would not hold up under scrutiny.

As experienced investigators, we look past what information is provided and focus on how the information is presented. A proper investigation should be conducted as objectively as possible, and follow the principle that it is better to have questions that cannot be answered than to have answers that cannot be questioned. A complete investigation must include full disclosure of all the facts of the case, even contradictory evidence. Why, then, is there little to no tolerance for free and open debate on this matter? Many credible medical and scientific experts are being censored. Accordingly, we rightly have concerns about β€œthe science” we are being coerced to β€œfollow”.

As representatives of our communities within the RCMP and representatives of the RCMP in our communities, we have never witnessed such division in our country. This sense of β€œUs versus Them” will be further fueled by having a police force consisting only of β€œvaccinated” people, while serving communities consisting of β€œunvaccinated” people, which goes against the community policing model the RCMP has strived to achieve.

As law enforcement officers, we already face higher levels of stress and mental illnesses due to the nature of our work. These have been compounded – considerably – by mandates that we believe are deeply unethical, threatening our livelihood, and dividing society.

As federal employees, what is being done to mitigate this stress? Moreover, what assurances are we given that the injections will not cause short or long-term side effects? What steps will be taken to ensure members are compensated for adverse side effects?

Police officers are expected to preserve the peace, uphold the law, and defend the public interest. We strongly believe that forced and coerced medical treatments undermine all three and, thus, contradict our duties and responsibilities to Canadians. We remain loyal to the Charter and Bill of Rights and ask you to send investigators to collect statements from medical professionals (and other reliable witnesses) who allege they have been silenced – putting lives at risk. Allow us to make this information publicly available to all so the public can scrutinize it and achieve informed consent.

reason for this is simple; for the patients that they have recruited for these studies, such as

Oxford’s ludicrous RECOVERY study, the intervention is too late to have any positive efect.

The clinical course of COVID-19 is such that by the time most people seek medical attention for

hypoxia, their viral load has already tapered of to almost nothing. If someone is about 10 days

post-exposure and has already been symptomatic for fve days, there is hardly any virus left in their

bodies, only cellular damage and derangement that has initiated a hyperinfammatory response. It

is from this group that the clinical trials for antivirals have recruited, pretty much exclusively.

In these trials, they give antivirals to severely ill patients who have no virus in their bodies, only a

delayed hyperinfammatory response, and then absurdly claim that antivirals have no utility in

treating or preventing COVID-19. These clinical trials do not recruit people who are presymptomatic.

They do not test pre-exposure or post-exposure prophylaxis.

Facebook employees tried to suppress conservative news outlets, report shows

 

Facebook’s bias is showing β€” again.

 

The tech giant’s employees have consistently pushed to suppress or de-platform right-wing outlets such as Breitbart, despite objections from managers trying to avoid political blowback, a scathing report by the Wall Street Journal revealed.

 

The internal debates β€” captured in message-board conversations reviewed by the publication β€” fuel new concerns that the platform is treating news outlets differently based on political slant.

 

Of special focus in the report was Breitbart, which employees have targeted to remove from the News Tab function, especially amid protests following George Floyd’s death by Minneapolis police last year.

 

After a staffer asked about removing Breitbart, a senior researcher responded, β€œI can also tell you that we saw drops in trust in CNN 2 years ago: would we take the same approach for them too?” he wrote.

 

By 2020, Facebook had begun keeping track of β€œstrikes” for content deemed false by third-party fact-checkers. Repeat offenders could be suspended from posting. Escalations came more frequently against conservative outlets, according to the report.

Employees were told in recent days to brace for more disclosures.

The story that broke the embargo on Friday involved a new whistleblower who told the Securities and Exchange Commission that Facebook routinely dismissed concerns about hate speech and the spread of misinformation over fears it would hinder the company’s growth.

 

The whistleblower, who testified under oath and whose name has not been released, told the SEC in 2017 that Facebook execs discouraged attempts to fight misinformation and hate speech during the Trump administration because it would hold back the company’s growth β€” and because they were afraid of the consequences from the president and his allies.

 

The whistleblower, like Haugen, a member of the social network’s β€œintegrity team,” said Tucker Bounds, a Facebook communications official, dismissed hate speech as a β€œflash in the pan” and said even though β€œsome legislators will get pissy,” the company is β€œprinting money in the basement.”

 

A person who worked at Facebook at the time told The Post that the comments from Bounds sound accurate.

Police investigating alleged escape attempt by Queensland COVID-19 patient

 

Police are investigating an alleged escape attempt by Queensland COVID-19 patient Duran Raman.

9News understands officers are looking into whether Mr Raman, 36, allegedly tried to leave the COVID-19 ward at Gold Coast University Hospital.

Mr Raman, who tested positive to COVID-19 last week, is accused of breaching border restrictions and travelling to Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Queensland.

 

The unvaccinated man was infectious in the Queensland community for up to 10 days, and health authorities said he was initially too sick to properly communicate.

It was reported on the weekend that he was in a serious but stable condition.

Queensland recorded no new COVID-19 cases on Saturday or yesterday, but police are also looking into the movements of seven NSW men who allegedly crossed the Queensland border illegally for a fishing trip.

 

Six of the men have been returned to NSW, with two of them since testing positive to COVID-19.

One of them was infectious while in Queensland.

Perfusionists use specialized equipment to maintain a patient’s heart and lung functions during open-heart or related surgeries. They operate a cardiopulmonary bypass machine, which keeps the patient alive while their heart is being operated on.

 

Josh works in two hospitals: Shasta Regional Medical Center, where they are accepting all religious exemptions for the COVID vaccine with no questions asked, and Catholic Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center, a Catholic hospital, where they fired health care workers for refusing to take the COVID jab. According to Josh Watkins, Mercy Medical Center has been very selective in the approval of religious exemptions. Watkins told us some members who used the exact same wording in their application for religious exemptions were denied, while others were accepted.

 

Mercy Medical Center workers in Redding, CA, threatened their workers that they needed to be fully vaccinated by September 30, 2021, or they would lose their jobs. They warned employees to comply on their website.

 

 

Health care workers who only months ago were considered heroes are now being fired in mass numbers across the United States for refusing to comply with a COVID vaccination mandate being used by corporations and businesses with more than 100 employees to fire workers. The mandate is neither based on law or executive order; it is simply a mandate that is being used to steal the livelihood and careers of non-federal workers.

 

Workers at Mercy Medical Center who are against being forced to accept the COVID jab have been protesting for weeks. Last week, hundreds of health care workers in Redding, CA, took their fight to the Shasta County Board of Supervisors, demanding they step in and fight back against what they consider an unconstitutional mandate. Unfortunately, the Shasta County Board of Supervisors responded to the large crowd of frustrated health care workers by simply not showing up for their scheduled meeting. Only district 4 Supervisor Patrick Jones showed up for the meeting. He opened the doors to the facility and allowed the public inside.

 

Once inside, hundreds of health care workers testified before Supervisor Jones. As testimonies were winding down, 11 -year-old Emma Watkins, who had accompanied her dad to several anti-vaccine mandates for health care workers rallies, told her dad that she wanted to get up and speak. Josh was nervous for her but decided that if she was brave enough to get up and speak in front of everyone, he would stand next to her and show his support. What happened next took everyone by surprise.

We spoke with Josh last week. He explained to us that Mercy Medical Center was trying to cancel the contracts of workers who refused to be vaccinated. When I asked Josh about his plans to support his family since he’ll only be able to work part-time at Shasta Regional Medical Center, he explained that he’s working on getting his contractor’s license so he can start building homes to supplement his income.

 

Before the tyranny of COVID lockdowns, Josh considered himself to be non-political. However, he told us he believes the tyrannical COVID mandates have actually brought people together and unified them to fight back and stand up for the common goal of freedom. β€œThe irony is, the lockdowns, that were supposed to keep people away from each other, have had the opposite effect,” Josh said. β€œWhat they’ve done is they’ve brought people of all different political beliefs together.”

 

Josh applied to the Catholic hospital for a religious exemption but was denied. After his appearance in front of the Shasta Board of Supervisors that went viral, he received an email telling him to re-apply for religious exemption. He applied again, and again, he was deniedβ€”additionally, he was told not to enter the hospital again unless he’s a patient. A confused Josh Watkins told us, β€œThey claim to be a Catholic hospital β€˜serving God’, and that’s how they respond to religious exemptions?”

 

Josh told us, β€œUsually a medical exemption is a notification and not a request” and β€œthey don’t have a legal right to judge sincerely held beliefs of their employeesβ€”as far as I understand the law, that’s 100% illegal.” A local health care worker who administers the COVID jab to health care workers told Josh that health care workers against getting the vaccination but are more afraid of losing their jobs β€œare coming in sobbing because they know it violates their soul.”

Small plane ends up in shrubs near Long Island airport

 

EAST QUOGUE, N.Y. – Oops.

 

On Saturday, around 1:00PM the Southampton Town Police Communications Division received an emergency call for a down plane in the area of County Road 104, town of Southampton, Suffolk County. The pilot, 75 year-old male from New York, NY, departed East Hampton Airport and was traveling to Mac Arthur when the plane, 2006 Cessna Skyhawk, experienced engine troubles.

 

The pilot attempted to land at Gabreski Airport and landed in the shrubs off County Road 104 south of Sunrise Highway.

 

The pilot was the only occupant of the plane and was uninjured.

 

The crash is still under investigation by NYSP, NTSB and FAA.

Attorney General Ford Announces Voter Fraud Charges

October 21, 2021

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford announced that Donald Kirk Hartle, 55, of Las Vegas, has been charged with two voter fraud crimes in relation to the 2020 general election: Voting Using Name of Another Person and Voting More Than Once at Same Election, both category D felonies. According to the criminal complaint, on or between Oct. 26, 2020 and Oct. 30, 2020, the defendant voted twice, including once in the name of Rosemarie Hartle.

 

β€œVoter fraud is rare, but when it happens it undercuts trust in our election system and will not be tolerated by my office,” said Attorney General Aaron D. Ford. β€œI want to stress that our office will pursue any credible allegations of voter fraud and will work to bring any offenders to justice.”

 

β€œOur office takes voter fraud very seriously,” said Secretary of State Barbara K. Cegavske. β€œOur Securities Division worked hard to bring this case to a close.”

 

Both charges are punishable by a prison term of up to four years, as well as a fine of up to $5,000. The defendant’s initial court appearance is set for Nov. 18, 2021, at 8:30 a.m., in the Las Vegas Township Justice Court.

 

This case was investigated by the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office and is being prosecuted by the Nevada Attorney General’s Criminal Prosecutions Division.

Major anti-terrorist joint drills staged by Russia & post-Soviet allies conclude on Afghan border in Tajikistan

 

A large-scale military exercise carried out by member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has concluded in Tajikistan. The drills involved repelling a cross-border attack from a mock terrorist group.

 

The exercise, which took place close to the Afghan border, concluded in southern Tajikistan on Saturday. Six CSTO nations, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, took part in the drills.

NATO not ready for equal dialogue, Russian defense minister says as German counterpart warns bloc ready to deter Moscow with nukes

 

Security in Europe can only be collective, but NATO is not ready for equal dialogue, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said. NATO earlier agreed on a master plan to deter Moscow, including with nuclear weapons.

 

German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer has been one of the most active backers of NATO's new master plan to counter Russia in case a military conflict breaks out between the sides. The strategy, which was agreed on Thursday, envisages the military alliance’s troops fighting Russian forces in the Baltic region and across the Black Sea, while also calling for non-conventional warfare, including nuclear weapons, cyber-attacks, and space military technology, to be employed.

 

β€œThis is the way of deterrence,” Kramp-Karrenbauer told German radio Deutschlandfunk earlier this week, commenting on the idea of deploying nuclear weapons in the air above Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia to protect them from what NATO calls the β€œRussian threat.”

 

β€œWe must make it very clear to Russia that we are ready to use such measures as well, so that it would have an early deterrent effect… This is being adapted to the current behavior of Russia,” she insisted.

 

On Saturday, Shoigu told his German counterpart that β€œsecurity in Europe can only be collective without infringement of Russia's interest. But currently NATO is the party that’s not ready for equal dialogue on this issue.”

 

β€œAmid calls to deter Russia militarily, NATO is consistently building up its forces near our borders. The German foreign minister must know quite well how such actions have ended for Germany and Europe previously,” he added.

A 17-year-old Canadian boy died from complications of the COVID-19 vaccine two weeks after receiving his injection.

 

Sean Hartman suffered multiple health problems after the shot and then passed away two weeks later.

 

A 17-year-old boy in Canada died of a heart attack at home on September 27th reportedly two weeks after he received a Covid-19 injection.

 

Sean Hartman is said to have suffered from β€œmultiple” health problems β€œimmediately” after the jab, including myocarditis, or heart inflammation. He received the COVID jab in order to be able to play hockey in an arena where the shot is required for entry.

 

β€œSean was born on January 31st 2004, and since then there was nothing that Sean was more passionate about than sports, especially hockey as he played his entire life, reads his GoFundMe page. β€œHe started his hockey career playing for the Beeton Stingers and went on to play for TNT in Alliston. Whether watch or play, Sean just loved the game.

These pleasurable effects reinforce and motivate us to repeat behaviors that stimulated the release of dopamine. Now, if we throw adrenaline into the mix, which is sparked by things such as risk taking, novelty, and physical and environmental stimulation, even more dopamine is released! Herein lays our first difference between extroverted and introverted brain. It turns out that extroverts have more dopamine receptors in their brains than introverts do! This finding means that extroverts need more dopamine to feel happy because they are less sensitive to it. The more they talk, move, and engage in stimulating activities, the more extroverts feel dopamine’s pleasant effects. In contrast, introverts are sensitive to dopamine, so all of that stimulation makes them feel overwhelmed and anxious.

Much like dopamine, acetylcholine is also linked to pleasure, but its effects are much more subtle. Acetylcholine makes us feel relaxed, alert, and content. It also fuels our ability to think deeply, reflect, and focus for long periods of time on one thing. When we engage in activities that are low-key, calming, and mentally engaging, we activate the release of acetylcholine. For extroverts, the pleasurable effects of acetylcholine pales in comparison to the jolt of happiness they experience from dopamine. However, introverts crave acetylcholine. So, while extroverts are out and about enjoying the benefits all those extra dopamine receptors, introverts are happily lounging at home with a book and a pleasant dose of acetylcholine.
