John 14: 6 contrasted with John 8:44, lays bare the rhetoric burped up by adversaries.

The sword of truth, cuts to the chase quickly, with simple surgical precision.

IMHO, being out of ones mind, under the influence of psychoactive drugs is exactly where the adversary want you, it's an effective tool of control to prevent one from seeing reality bc they're out of reality, bc they're not themselves as they would be normally without artificial influence.

Ask yourself an honest question: If I was going into brain surgery, would I want my neurosurgeon loaded 'out of his mind' or sober minded?

Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Albert, all Harvard Professors, under the auspices of Gov't to investigate LSD-25 (the most powerful mind changing drug known at the time), wrote a book called The Psychedelic Experience. It was based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead, indeed they took it as far as they could go under its influence.

Problem is, whatever the alternate reality of illumination they experienced was, was of an individual nature. They came back and tried to exploit that experience in this reality and found themselves up shit creek w/resistance, bc they were 'out of mind' of this reality.

I have no problem w/curiosity and exploration, but the residual effects of their influence led many into a path of self destruction through addiction.
