The original from the 870's was what I grew up on, but I didn;t think it was nearly as deep as the reboot.

 

Was just thinking back to the pilot mini-series, when Adama has to leave behind a huge chunk of the population without telling them the rendesvous point for the fleet. If he had, the cylons would have followed and killed all of humanity. Sacrificed people they knew and loved.

 

Reminds me of The Plan. There had to be collateral damage, and it's awful and we hate it. People are dying by the thousands from this fucking shot. But had it not been done this way, it was going to be 90% of us.

 

Also think of the doctor who created the "test" to see whether or not someone was a cylon. Test was completely worthless but taken as Gospel.
