5G is 3 different bands, 1 of which is the same band as 4G/LTE, and the next one slightly higher than that. The last band is the one that they brag about as "super fast", but it doesn't even penetrate walls, and you have to be outdoors in order to utilize it. Some carriers only give the ultra-high band to the premium subscribers. The ultra-band is in the 600mHz range where TV channels used to be. This band was also being used by wireless microphones, until the FCC sold it off to the telecom companies.
