The speculation of a Taiwan invasion is definitely something I have heard about. What is odd to me is that someone (other than us) might hit them at 3 Gorges. Japanese? Russians? They are a global threat, they have become too big, but why would either of the two countries that I named, who are "smaller" and far less military than us, hit them? Is it a case where, since we gave them afghanistan, they stand to become the de facto global enemy against the rest of the world? And is that enough of a threat to push mostly-inanimate nations of the world to rise up against them?
