Here is how I see the situation in China:

ChongQing (CQ) faction is hardcore Maoist and

they hate the market economy policies of the BeiJing (BJ) faction

BJ faction is the legacy of Deng Xiao Ping

With Xi trying to have himself designated as a "Historical Person", he wants to elevate himself to the same political stature as Mao Tse Tung

With Xi doing this, he has seriously offended the CQ faction

Right now you are seeing a very visible and spectacular bombing campaign all over the country. BJ is trying very hard to keep it covered up, but that media blackout is failing.

If Xi goes forward with making himself dictator for life, there could be political instability in China as factional war could escalate.

You could see open civil war between the Maoist communists and the Capitalism communists.

Xi Jin Ping might start a war to conquer Taiwan as a way to neuter the CQ faction, unify the general population of China and solidify his dictatorship.
