Metallurgist Pleads Guilty to Faking Navy Submarine Steel Strength Test Results For More Than 30 Years

A metallurgist pleaded guilty to fraud earlier this week after she spent more than 30 years faking Navy submarine steel strength test results.

Elaine Marie Thomas, 67, of Auburn, Washington, was the director of metallurgy at a foundry that provided steel parts used by Navy contractors to build submarine.

From 1985 to 2017, Thomas falsified test results for at least 240 productions of steel.

It wasn’t until a metallurgist training to replace Thomas noticed the falsified records that her criminal activity came to light.

The new metallurgist alerted supervisors and Thomas was fired.

“Court filings indicate there is no evidence that Bradken’s management was aware of the fraud until May 2017. At that time, a lab employee discovered that test cards had been altered and that other discrepancies existed in Bradken’s records. In June 2020, Bradken entered into a deferred prosecution agreement, accepting responsibility for the offense and agreeing to take remedial measures. Bradken also entered into a civil settlement, paying $10,896,924 to resolve allegations that the foundry produced and sold substandard steel components for installation on U.S. Navy submarines.” the DOJ said.

Saule Omarova, President Joe Biden’s nominee for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), called during a March 2021 virtual conference to eliminate all private bank accounts and deposits.

Omarova spoke at the Law and Political Economy (LPE) Project’s “Law & Political Economy: Democracy Beyond Neoliberalism” conference in March.

Omarova discussed one of her papers, “The People’s Ledger How to Democratize Money and Finance the Economy,” which would help “redesign” the financial system and make the economy “more equitable for everyone.”

She said it would change the “private-public power balance” and democratize finance to a more systemic level.

During her explanation of her paper, she said that the Federal Reserve, the nation’s central bank, can only use “indirect levers” to “induce private banks to increase their lending.”

Her paper calls for eliminating all banks and transferring all bank deposits to “FedAccounts” at the Federal Reserve.

Iran-Backed Militia Recently Removed From Terror List By Biden Storms U.S. Embassy In Yemen, Takes Hostages

“The State Department is working to secure the release of several kidnapped hostages taken by Iran-backed terrorists.”

The Iran-backed Islamist group, which President Joe Biden removed from the terror list, has stormed the U.S. embassy in Yemen. The Shia-Islamic Houthi militia occupied the embassy on Wednesday and took several embassy staff hostage, the news reports say.

“The State Department confirmed to the Free Beacon that the Yemeni staffers are being detained without explanation and that the Iran-backed militants stole property after breaching the American facility in [Yemen’s capital] Sana’a,” Adam Kredo reported, who first broke the story in the Washington Free Beacon.

Weeks after taking office, the Biden administration removed the Houthi jihadi militia from the list of designated foreign terrorist groups, reversing a decision taken by former President Donald Trump. Texas Cold Snap Update: Utility Surcharge Approved and “ratepayers could see an increase in their bills for the next 30 years.”

Most will remember that earlier this year an unexpected snowstorm caused hundreds of deaths and other widespread devastation in Texas. Nevertheless, natural gas sellers made $11B during the snowstorm and utility companies proposed that ratepayers pay to “weatherize their facilities to withstand future freezes.” More recently the state’s utility regulator approved a customer-funded plan to recover utility debt during the storm.

Texans will be paying for the effects of last February’s cold snap for decades to come, as the state’s oil and gas regulator approved a plan for natural gas utilities to recover $3.4 billion in debt they incurred during the storm.

The regulator, the Railroad Commission, is allowing utilities to issue bonds to cover the debt. As a result, ratepayers could see an increase in their bills for the next 30 years.

Climate movement grandpa James Hansen says the Green New Deal is ‘nonsense’

His solution to climate catastrophe? You may want to sit down for this one: a carbon tax.

In the 1980s, NASA scientist James Hansen brought climate change to the attention of Congress, and shortly thereafter the public. Humans, he testified in 1988, were responsible for rising global temperatures.

But the man who put his reputation on the line to alert the world to the dangers of global warming doesn’t appear to agree with the most recent crop of climate advocates.

Trump Organization Not Obliged to Pay Michael Cohen's Legal Fees, Judge Rules

Michael Cohen, who was Donald Trump's personal attorney from 2006 to 2018, was frequently referred to as the former president's "fixer". However, the relations between the two were later ruined, with Cohen testifying against Trump and claiming the latter had ordered him to break the law.

A New York judge ruled Friday that the Trump organisation does not have to pay millions of dollars to the ex-president's former lawyer Michael Cohen.

Cohen's lawyer, Lanny Davis, immediately blasted the decision as "unfair", and asked his Twitter followers to chip in on a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign for Trump's former lawyer.

ATF Raid On Missouri Gun Shop Has Sheriff Seeing Red

Skelton Tactical has been open for business in the small central Missouri town of Osage Beach for about three years, and owner James Skelton says during that time he’s never seen or spoken to anyone from the ATF. Apparently the agency has been keeping an eye on him, however, since agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and explosives conducted a raid on his business earlier this week.

And while it’s not surprising that the ATF wouldn’t give Skelton advance notice that they’d be coming to his shop to seize most of his inventory, the local sheriff says he was taken aback by how the raid happened.

Camden County Sheriff Tony Helms says the ATF raid on a local gun store in Osage Beach on Tuesday caught him by surprise.

“It makes me mad I was not notified,” Helms said. “ATF agents were in my office the day before, to discuss a separate issue and they did not tell me a thing,” Helms said. “They called me at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, and apologized for not telling me, saying they were not comfortable having too many people know about the raid before it happened. They were hitting several gun shops as part of an annual thing.”

“Before SAPA, (the Second Amendment Preservation Act, passed in June 2021) they would have notified me if they were going to be in my county,” Helms added.

As US Cities Mandate Pfizer Jabs for Kids, Other Countries Suspending Them Over Health Risks

Just as the FDA approved the Pfizer jab for children ages 5-11 in the United States, medically tyrannical cities like San Francisco jumped at the opportunity to restrict the travel of children. Almost immediately after the emergency use authorization approval, San Francisco health officials announced that small children ages 5-11 will now have to have proof of vaccination status to get into restaurants, gyms, swimming pools and large events like a Warriors game.

Given that it wasn’t even available for children to take the jab, officials stated that there will be a small grace period but that ultimately, kids will be forced to show their papers before the new year.

“So that will happen no sooner than about eight weeks after the vaccine is available to kids,” said Dr. Susan Philip of the San Francisco Public Health Department. “So there will be a limited time in which there will not be those requirements is our plan. But then at some point, five to eleven year olds will also have to show proof of vaccination to access some of those same settings.”

Other cities, like New York are now following suit with similar measures. As the Wall Street Journal points out, Advocates of mandating Covid vaccines equate them with standard childhood shots against polio, chickenpox, TDaP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) and MMR (measles, mumps and rubella). But those decades-old vaccines have gone through the full FDA testing regime. The Covid vaccine has received only emergency-use authorization for this age group, meaning its safety and efficacy have not yet been established to the FDA’s satisfaction.

The WSJ article goes further, and cites several statutes regarding the legality of such measures. In short, according to the WSJ, it is unlawful to mandate that children take these shots — yet a growing number of cities is doing just that.

As TFTP reported, this push to vaccinate children is in spite of the fact that children face a near-zero threat from the virus. What’s more, as Americans are quickly learning, the vaccine loses efficacy over time leading to a large number of breakthrough cases which has the Centers for Disease Control calling for boosters. We have zero data on the long term effects of boosters on children.

Moderna, the world’s hottest new Big Pharma giant, now has four of its top players sitting on the annual Forbes list of America’s 400 richest. In early 2020, Moderna had none.

Moderna’s Forbes 400 billionaire quartet owes its current good fortune completely to the company’s Covid-19 vaccine. And who made that vaccine possible? U.S. taxpayers. Moderna’s Covid vaccine, as Public Citizen research director Zain Rivzi puts it, “would not exist without the massive contribution of the federal government at every step of the way.”

The Biden administration’s chief science officer for the Covid response, David Kessler, calculates that the federal tax dollars handed to Moderna for vaccine development, testing, and initial manufacture total about $10 billion. And that figure doesn’t include the brainpower of the scientists at the U.S. National Institutes of Health who spent four years actively collaborating with Moderna’s researchers.

Moderna has now filed for a patent on the key vaccine breakthrough these scientists helped produce. The company’s patent application makes no mention of the NIH scientists, a snub that could, notes a Wired analysis, have “major ramifications.”

Thousands of Massachusetts parents opted their children out of a federally funded sex education curriculum that teaches kindergartners about genitalia.

Worcester Public Schools this week announced that 13 percent of its students opted out of sex education, including 20 percent of K-4 students. The "Rights, Respect, Responsibility," or "3Rs," curriculum teaches elementary students about gender identity and instructs high school students to act out scenes in which gay and transgender couples decide to have sex. The curriculum's authors include one current and one former Planned Parenthood employee. It is published by Advocates for Youth, a progressive group that since 1995 has received $26 million from the Centers for Disease Control.

Almost 200 nations accepted a contentious climate compromise Saturday aimed at keeping a key global warming target alive, but it contained a last-minute change that watered down crucial language about coal.

Several countries, including small island states, said they were deeply disappointed by the change promoted by India to "phase down," rather than "phase out" coal power, the single biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions.

Nation after nation had complained earlier on the final day of two weeks of U.N. climate talks in Glasgow, Scotland about how the deal did not go far or fast enough, but they said it was better than nothing and provided incremental progress, if not success.
