When I was in Basic Training in Alabama in the month of April, 1980, it rained almost every day.
One time our drill instructor told all of us to stand under a tree. In Basic, you don't question a drill instructor. Under my breath, I said to a recruit next to me, "I always thought you weren't supposed to stand under a tree when there was lightening". The drill instructor must have heard me, because all of a sudden he says, "Everybody out from under the tree."
