Works for me. First there's the still small voice, then, if its direction is ignored, something happens. If, after disregarding the something, the willfulness continues, something else happens. Depending on the situation, there may continue to be somethings happening. Finally, when enough is enough, God pulls the rug our from under you, so the only place you have to look is up. God just wants your attention, and your good decision making.
