If tomorrow all my things were gone,
he worked for all his life.
And he had to start again,
with just his children and his wife.
Would he thank his lucky stars,
to be livin' here today?
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can't take that away.
Is he proud to be an American,
where at least he know he's free?
And won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to him?
And would he gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today?
