Hung juries are harder to achieve then one thinks.

The reason?

The judge will keep saying try again.

Ultimately, the judge can wait it out longer than a jury can accept being in the room together for what seems like forever.

Not impossible, but I bet they come to a conclusion at some point.

Similar situation 2 times for me.

In both instances the last guilty hold out was an older black guy wanting to stick it to whitey.

Also in both instances they finally caved when the judge said try for 1 moar hour and if still nothing then come back tomorrow.

Both the trials I served on were cases where to this day I have no clue why they went to trial as the evidence was that flimsy.

The only thing I can think of was one of those charge him with something bogus just to get him to squeal about something else.

kek

They hit close to home with that one.

I live around blue city libs that do that irl.

The funny thing is I've had black dudes tell me it's well known in the hood to hit those houses for burglaries since they know none of those fags have guns.
