"Today I am thrilled to announce I will be publishing a wonderful book in time for Christmas!" Trump said in a statement, according to Fox News. "'Our Journey Together' is a collection of beautiful photos captured during our very successful time in the White House."

Trump described the book as a "fantastic keepsake" that "chronicles the greatness of the last four years with powerful images unlike anything else that has been published" and noted that it would make a great Christmas present.

"'Our Journey Together' features unforgettable moments from our time in Washington: building the Southern Border Wall; cutting America’s taxes; confirming almost 300 federal judges and 3 Supreme Court justices; rebuilding our military; creating Space Force; dealing with Kim Jong-Un, President Xi, President Putin, and many other world leaders; and battling liberals on two Impeachment Witch Hunts, just to name a few," Trump said in his statement, according to Fox.

The book will be published by Winning Team Publishing, an imprint co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Sergio Gor, who was on the former president's 2020 reelection campaign, The New York Times reported.

Russian-U.S. Diaspora Group Shuts Down, Blaming 'FBI Measures'

https://www.rferl.org/a/31571190.html

“We interpret the FBI’s measures towards Russian community members, especially individuals who organize Russian cultural events and openly advocate for more dialogue and people-to-people ties with Russia, as a form of pressure reminiscent of the Cold War era,” the organization said in its November 18 statement.

“It is important to stress that the Community Council is an informal organization that never engaged in any political activities, nor did it possess, receive, or give out any financial resources,” the group said.

The statement did not provide other details. E-mails sent to the organization’s New York-based president, and other members, were not immediately returned.

The reported closure drew sharp statements from the Foreign Ministry and the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C., which alleged “deliberate repressions” against Russians in the United States.

"For several years, the FBI has undertaken hostile action against the Russian-speaking community in the United States, threatening criminal action over the alleged non-compliance with the FARA act," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters at a briefing in Moscow on November 19.

Canada to bar entry to unvaccinated pro athletes starting Jan. 15

https://nypost.com/2021/11/20/canada-to-bar-entry-to-unvaccinated-pro-athletes-in-january/

“As of January 15th, there will no longer be an exemption in place for professional and amateur athletes,” said Mendicino, a member of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s governing Liberal Party.

The rules could impact teams in the NHL, NBA, Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball — all of which have at least one Canadian club.

Canadian-born players won’t be exempt — starting Nov. 30, the Canadian government will require vaccinations for all international or domestic travel, the CBC said.

The country will also scrap vaccine exemptions for family travel, international students, and essential workers, Mendicino said.

U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson announces retirement after almost 3 decades in Congress

Johnson, one of the longest serving members in Congress, had previously indicated that her current term would be her last.

Longtime U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, D-Dallas, announced Saturday she is not running for reelection after serving nearly three decades in Congress.

“I have gone back and forth … the whole time because of the pleading and the asking, but as of January … the year after next, I will step down,” Johnson said during an event in Dallas. "I will retire, and let me assure that I will also recommend to you whom I feel is the best to follow me."

First elected to Congress in 1992, Johnson, 85, is among its most senior members and serves as dean of the Texas delegation. She chairs the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.

A former state legislator, Johnson is known for breaking barriers. She was the first Black woman ever elected to public office in Dallas when she won a state House seat in 1972. She went on to become the first registered nurse to ever serve in Congress.

The decision Johnson announced Saturday is consistent with what she told constituents in 2019 — that her current term would be her last. However, since winning reelection last year, she had declined to confirm that, fueling speculation about whether she would reverse herself in recent months.

Democrats began to circle her seat as questions about her 2022 plans persisted. In May, Jane Hope Hamilton, a former top staffer for Joe Biden’s campaign in Texas, launched an exploratory committee for the seat, saying she would run if Johnson chose not to seek reelection. And last month, Abel Mulugheta, the former chief of staff to state Rep. Rafael Anchia, D-Dallas, announced an outright campaign for the seat. Jessica Mason, a Navy veteran and progressive activist, is also running for the Democratic nomination.

Johnson’s 30th District is set to remain one of the bluest congressional districts in the state after redistricting. It will also stay anchored in Dallas, spreading to the southern edge of the namesake county.

95%+ athletes got the jab, but see the story as a wake up call to fan base who still participate in that realm. I used to cross border on hockey nights, as posts/guards were distracted by game kek
