$1.6 million payday for Polis friends: Free deal to help Colorado's COVID-19 response ends up costing taxpayers

DAVID MIGOYA david.migoya@gazette.com Nov 20, 2021 Updated Nov 22, 2021

This is pretty interesting… Polis in CO scratching his friends backs to track (you) with cell phone data! WOW! $1.6M funneled to his buddies in no-bid "state of emergency" $$ to purchase and analyze cell phone GPS and FB, etc. data to be used for the state's COVID response! I wonder how much of that data was manipulated by owners of the 2nd company: David Jacobson and Parker Jackson? All data can be manipulated. Polis' office claims to have no knowledge of the contracts and so refuses to comment. Who wants to file a FOIA for communication between Polis and his cronies?

The founder of the first company with the original contract, Tim Miller of Boulder, a long time tech entrepreneur and financier with close ties to Polis…was the former CEO at Rally Software, a tech company sold in 2015 for $480M.Miller helps run Barchetta Pizza, which he founded in Boulder. All staff have been vaxxed!

feedback to the Gazette: first article I've read from the new Denver Gazette – so far, give it 7/10 - would have liked to have seen links to the source docs in the article.
