Russia's Lavrov Warns Blinken Of Return To Military Confrontation "Nightmare"

On Friday top Ukraine officials continued sounding the alarm over what they believe is a large-scale mustering of Russian troops aimed at prepping an invasion of eastern Ukraine.

"Our intelligence analyses all scenarios, including the worst," Ukraine's defense minister, Oleksii Reznikov, told parliament on Friday. "It notes that the likelihood of a large-scale escalation from Russia exists. The most likely time to reach readiness for an escalation will be the end of January." He said more than 94,000 Russian soldiers have massed across the border.

The charge comes two days after Moscow turned the accusation around, saying that it's actually Kiev that has now stationed half the entire national army in Donbass. The Kremlin called Ukraine's rhetoric and actions "excessively inflamed and dangerous", and suggested the flurry of ratcheting allegations this week are designed to provoke Russia.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday said in Stockholm that Western allies have expressed "tremendous solidarity" to take action in the event of a Russian offensive in Ukraine.

Given this atmosphere of escalating accusations and fears of direct confrontation, the Russian foreign ministry is urging immediate deconfliction. Likely there will be engagement between the Pentagon and Russian defense officials. Over a week ago, on Nov.23, the heads of the Russian and United States militaries held a rare phone call in efforts to deescalate the soaring tensions in eastern Europe.

In his latest comments Friday, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov asserted that NATO is refusing calls to de-escalate the crisis:

"NATO refuses to consider our proposals on de-escalation of tensions and prevention of dangerous incidents," Lavrov said, accusing the US-led bloc of rejecting constructive discussion.

"On the contrary, the alliance's military infrastructure is moving closer to Russia's borders… The nightmarish scenario of military confrontation is returning."

Pete Schwartz, a January 6 detainee, wrote a 23-page open letter and motion to the court on November 8 to drop all charges, release him, and rectify all the false accusations mentioned.

Schwartz stated that he was forced to write the letter on his own because the only counsel available to him had gone to great lengths to sabotage his case.

“I will try and format this document into easy-to-understand, easy-to-reference sections. If the format is overly unorthodox, be aware that it is the court’s negligence in providing effective assistance of counsel,” Schwartz said in his letter.

Peter Schwartz, age 47 and a Kentucky welder who has served in the Army Reserve, was indicted after he was accused of pepper-spraying officers during the Jan. 6 protest. He was arrested on Feb. 2nd in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. According to his letter, he was with his wife when 30 agents assaulted him with flashbang grenades, armored vehicles, and more than 10 assault rifles aimed at his chest.

“At no point did either my wife or I resist but we were both roughly handled and forced/dragged up the stairs after being shackled and handcuffed as we were shoved around,” Schwartz said.

“Today is Nov. 8, 2021. I was arrested on Feb, 2nd 2021. The only portion of my discovery, (the evidence against me), that I’ve seen, is a warrant that was publicly published by Forbes Magazine. After this much time of being incarcerated, I don’t know what evidence is being used against me, nor do I even know what specifically I’m being charged with,” Schwartz added.

Schwartz described the misconduct by the prosecution as extensive and heinous. He accused them of due process violations, no bond, no discovery, no indictment/arraignment, illegal extradition, chain of evidence violations, grand jury secret violations (including but not limited to misleading “evidence leaks” to press), plea bargain, misconduct, speedy trial violations, and more.

Schwartz also requested his current attorney to file a form that will require the court to divulge which people that he is locked with are FBI informants.

In his concluding statement, Schwartz said, “the only threat to the country or to the fabric of American democracy is you, Judge Mehta, as you willfully ignore the Bill of Rights, along with the other traitors and enemies of this country.”

UFC Legend Conor McGregor Calls For Ireland To Leave EU Over COVID Restrictions

Conor McGregor has called for the Republic of Ireland to leave the European Union over new COVID restrictions. On Friday evening, Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin imposed a series of new measures, citing the threat of the Omicron variant.

Under the new measures, nightclubs will be closed between December 7 – January 9 while other businesses will be subject to increased social distancing guidelines. “The potential for a very serious crisis is obvious,” Martin said.

McGregor has voiced his displeasure with the Irish government’s handling of the pandemic on numerous occasions. The UFC superstar recently called out the prime minister in a series of tweets, many of which were later deleted.

Several EU countries have responded to the Omicron variant with draconian measures. Austria and Germany recently imposed lockdowns for the unvaccinated population while moving towards compulsory vaccination for all citizens. In other bloc-countries, such as Italy, vaccination papers are required for entry to numerous buildings. Vaccination is also heavily tied to employment status in several EU countries.

Nevada Becomes First State To Impose Surcharge On Unvaccinated Workers

Nevada on Thursday became the first U.S. state to impose a surcharge on workers who have not gotten a COVID-19 vaccine, though the penalty doesn’t take effect until the middle of next year.

All but two members of the state’s Public Employees’ Benefit Program Board (PEBP) voted during a meeting to approve a surcharge of $55 a month on unvaccinated workers.

The approved proposal also stipulates a surcharge of $175 a month for workers’ spouses, partners, and dependents 18 and older. That could be adjusted down the road.

The surcharges will go into effect on July 1, 2022.

They’ll help offset the costs of COVID-19 testing, Laura Rich, executive officer of the board, said.

Testing costs through September were estimated at $3.3 million.

The board did not analyze the cost of COVID-19 hospitalizations for the proposal because that would have made the surcharge for spouses and dependents “significantly higher,” Rich said. State rules bar making the surcharge on workers any higher.

Nevada’s Department of Labor last month released guidance saying the surcharges were legal, and Rich compared them to surcharges on smokers imposed by plans in the past.

Exemptions are available for religious or medical reasons, as required by law.

Public commenters during the meeting, and those submitting written statements, spoke out against the proposal before the vote.

“I believe that the proposed surcharge is inappropriate and excessive,” Ellen Crecelius, one member of the public, said in a statement. She noted that many people enjoy natural immunity, or the protection one gets after having recovered from COVID-19.

Shanna Cobb-Adams said she already pays $255.06 a month. The new surcharges would increase that by 90 percent. She expressed concern about her 18-year-old son getting a vaccine when studies show that young males are at elevated risk of developing heart inflammation after getting a vaccine, while COVID-19 poses little risk to healthy youth without serious underlying health conditions.

Another commenter noted that Gov. Steve Sisolak, a Democrat, is the one forcing workers to get tested weekly if they don’t get a vaccine. “The unvaccinated should not have to foot the bill for the agency’s unjust decisions,” she wrote. “The fact is vaccinated and unvaccinated employees both can contract and spread the virus equally, yet the state has decided to only put the hardships on the unvaccinated unfairly.”

Some members also voiced opposition to the proposal, and two voted against it.

Several state residents did support the measure, including one who said that “anti-vaxxers should pay for their choice since their freedom is not free.”

Sisolak’s policy director, DuAne Young, said that the pandemic “has been shouldered on the burden of everyone.”

“And now this particular burden—the testing—should be shouldered on the burden of those who refuse to (be vaccinated),” Young added.

Some companies have imposed surcharges but no states had before Thursday.

Discussions with entities that had imposed penalties pointed to benefits like increasing the percent of workers who are vaccinated and offsetting rising costs, Rich said. If the board did not approve the surcharges, every workers’ premium, regardless of vaccination status, would need to be hiked, she said.

Revenue from the surcharges is expected to be about $18 million a year. Testing costs are pegged at ranging from $12 million to $24 million.

Prior to the vote, representatives for the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees and the Nevada Faculty Alliance said the unions were not taking a position on the proposal.

Terri Laird, representing the Retired Public Employees of Nevada, said the organization also was neutral on the surcharges.

But, she told members, the added costs would “burden many employees.”

US calls Russian military activity near Ukraine cause for ‘a lot of concern,’ as Kyiv warns Moscow it will ‘fight back’

The United States is tracking enough indicators surrounding Russian military activity near Ukraine to trigger “a lot of concern,” the top U.S. military officer said on December 2, while Ukraine’s defense minister warned of a possible large-scale military offensive by Moscow next month.

Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, declined to speculate about the options the United States might consider in the event of a Russian invasion. But Milley stressed the importance of Ukraine’s sovereignty to Washington and to the NATO alliance.

“There’s significant national security interests of the United States and of NATO member states at stake here if there was an overt act of aggressive action militarily by the Russians into a nation state that has been independent since 1991,” Milley said during a flight from Seoul to Washington.

Milley also said it would be a mistake for any country to draw broad strategic conclusions about the U.S. response based on its withdrawal from Afghanistan in August.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov accused Russia of gearing up for a possible large-scale military offensive next month. Speaking in parliament on December 3, Reznikov said that Kyiv would not stoke tensions in the area, but that “Ukraine will fight back, if necessary.”

“The better we work together with our [Western] partners, the less the threat of escalation will be. Victorian government considering removing vaccination mandate three months earlier due to 'high-profile' incidents

The state government is looking to scrap vaccine mandates due to threats and abuse towards workers in the retail industry, including a staff member who was allegedly pushed down an escalator after asking an unmasked man for his vaccination certificate.

The controversial coronavirus vaccination mandates in Victoria could be scrapped in the New Year as concerns rise over abuse towards retail workers who have to enforce the rules on shoppers.

The state government is looking at removing the directive in all but high-risk settings as early as January, according to the Herald Sun.

In October, Premier Daniel Andrews suggested the mandate could be in place till April or even longer due to a spike in COVID-19 cases at the time.

Government officials said a series of incidents of workers being abused for enforcing the jab mandate has led them to reconsider their approach.

"The high rate of vaccinations, the passing of the pandemic bills which sidelines the chief health officers, and the high-profile incidents of violence have led to a change of thinking," a source told the publication.

"There will still be mandates in place in high-risk settings even after any change."

In one case, a Melbourne bookstore has been forced to hire private security guards, at a cost of $4,000 a week, over attacks on staff members.

Victoria Police are investigating an incident where a Dymocks employee was allegedly pushed down an escalator after he reportedly asked a customer to prove his vaccination status and to check-in to the store.

CCTV footage showed the staff member try and stop the man, wearing a distinctive rainbow hoodie, from going down the escalator to the book store before he was pushed with his head hitting a step.

The worker is seen clutching his head as he laid motionless on the moving escalator.

A bystander pushed the emergency stop button as other Good Samaritans rushed to his aid. It's believed he was treated for a mild concussion.

The man who pushed the staff member is seen going back up the escalator seconds later.

Roughly 19,000 active-duty Marines, Navy sailors unvaccinated after Biden administration deadline

As many as 19,000 active-duty Marines and Navy sailors reportedly remain unvaccinated after the Biden administration's Nov. 28 deadline.

Military leaders have vowed to expel personnel declining to comply with the mandate, according to The Washington Post.

In each service branch, the number of holdouts is roughly 9,500, according to official counts by the newspaper.

That 5% of Marines are unvaccinated had been anticipated. But the Navy had a larger pool of unvaccinated sailors than had been projected. The Navy, in announcing its final tally this week, said officials had uncovered last-minute "discrepancies" with a data-tracking system.

As recently as last week, official data showed 99.8% of sailors had at least one shot by Sunday's deadline. The accurate number is just over 97%, The Post also reports.

More than 8,800 members of the U.S. Air Force also have declined to get vaccinated.

In all three services, many are awaiting decisions on exemption requests. However, the number of permanent waivers granted is expected to be nominal.

Army data shows 4% of its active force, about 19,000 soldiers, have not received any vaccine dose, with a compliance deadline of Dec. 15.

The vast majority of service members have complied with the Pentagon's vaccination mandate, but even a small percentage of the military's 2.1 million troops begin unvaccinated, and perhaps expelled, translates to tens of thousands of people, also according to The Post.

DeSantis: Biden Administration Forcing Americans to Undergo Coronavirus Tests, Illegal Border Crossers Run Free

The Biden administration is forcing Americans to provide a negative coronavirus test when traveling back into the country, yet illegal border crossers are not held to the same standard, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) noted Thursday, railing against President Biden’s inconsistent coronavirus mandates.

“What President Biden’s doing by trying to impose more restrictions, he’s now going to say if you go to the Bahamas as an American citizen and you come back, you’ve got to do a test, a COVID test. But if you just come right across the boarder illegally, that somehow that’s fine and we don’t care about the test or vaccination, I just don’t understand,” DeSantis said during the press conference in Pensacola, Florida, where he proposed $100 million in the budget for the Florida National Guard, as well as the creation of a Florida State Guard.

Indeed, on Thursday, Biden announced a change in the rules for international travel, requiring travelers to provide a negative coronavirus test within one day of departure rather than three, regardless of vaccination status.

This week, Biden’s chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci dismissed border crossers as “a different issue” than international travelers.

Fauci claimed there was some coronavirus testing at the border — even though the Biden administration has not required universal testing or vaccine mandates for border crossers before they are released into the United States.

Since taking control of the border, the Biden administration has struggled for months to explain why they have failed to implement the same policies for border crossers, illegal immigrants, and migrants entering the United States as legal residents, American citizens, and even tourists.

DeSantis said the inconsistent rules are going to cause “a lot of problems” and added that he disagrees with Biden extending existing mandates as well.

“I don’t think that they should be imposing any mandates on air travel or any of the things that they have done,” he said. Notably, Biden announced Thursday his administration will, yet again, extend the mask mandate for air travel, this time through the winter.

“It has not been anything that has really made much of a difference. I think it’s inconvenienced a lot of people. I think it’s crimped the willingness of people to travel, and I don’t think that it’s necessarily a good thing,” DeSantis added.

However, the Florida governor also said he was “happy” Americans had “gotten some relief in a court decision against the Biden CMS mandate which threatened to cause healthcare workers to potentially lose their jobs.”

While he said the Florida legislature created protections for workers from vaccine mandates in the special session, “at the same time, you had the federal government … threatening to take away all Medicare and Medicaid funding from these providers, and that would have been just devastating.”

“So that is on hold across the country. And that means thousands and thousands of jobs are going to end up being preserved,” he added.

FITTON: Why Absolutely No One Is Surprised Hillary Clinton’s Influence-Peddling Foundation Collapsed

When one of the most recognizable nonprofits in the world loses 75% of its contributions over a four-year period, there are typically investigatory reports written into what has gone wrong. That isn’t the case with the Clinton Foundation. The Foundation received $62.9 million in 2016 but only $16.3 million in 2020, and very few people seem to have noticed.

That is because most Beltway insiders know the Clinton Foundation’s primary purpose: to serve as a platform for Hillary Clinton’s political operation while lining the Clintons’ pockets by trading influence for money. That is why donations spiked when Hillary was secretary of state and most of the world thought she was destined to become president — and why they cratered after she lost.

Kevin Thurm, the CEO of the Clinton Foundation, tried to play off the 2020 decline off as pandemic-related. In a letter, he wrote that 2020 “was a difficult year for philanthropy. Across the sector, resources were stretched thinly and fundraising activities were impacted.” This argument doesn’t explain the tens of millions the Foundation lost between 2016 and 2019 and ignores that charitable giving was up by 5.1% in America last year.

Of course, an objective observer easily understands the real reason the Clinton Foundation experienced such a sharp decline in contributions since 2016. The Foundation is an influence-peddling scheme, and the Clintons’ influence has waned. Even Obama understood the scheme. When President Obama nominated Hillary Clinton in 2009 to serve as secretary of state, she agreed to a strict memorandum of understanding to wall off the Foundation from conflicts of interest with the State Department. As Judicial Watch uncovered, the Clinton team immediately violated this agreement by using the Clinton State Department to help Clinton Foundation donors.

The Clintons also agreed that the State Department would approve Bill Clinton’s speeches. Judicial Watch investigations (in partnership with the Daily Caller) uncovered that this agreement translated into the Clinton State Department rubber-stamping virtually all of Bill Clinton’s 215 speeches, which raked in $48 million in speaking fees while his wife was secretary of state. These speeches included government-controlled entities in China, Russia and Saudi Arabia. State Department memos approving his speeches were routinely sent to Cheryl Mills, who was Hillary Clinton’s senior counsel and chief of staff – and a former Foundation board member!

The former president blurred ethical lines, routinely mixing diplomacy and Clinton Foundation fundraising. He praised Colombian president Manuel Santos’s efforts to reach out to terrorist group FARC shortly after playing golf with the president as part of a fundraising effort. In another email exchange, a Clinton Foundation official briefed the State Department on Clinton’s trip to Myanmar and his efforts to promote the Clinton Foundation.

Buried in the Big Tech platform’s “COVID-19 medical misinformation policy” are clauses that allow YouTube to bar anyone who dares contest information regarding masks or “contradict local health authorities or WHO.”

Youtube then goes on to detail what content is outlawed.

For example, content that denies the existence of COVID-19. They then list the following: Denial that COVID-19 exists; Claims that people have not died or gotten sick from COVID-19, Claims that the virus no longer exists or that the pandemic is over; Claims that the symptoms, death rates, or contagiousness of COVID-19 are less severe or equally as severe as the common cold or seasonal flu; Claims that the symptoms of COVID-19 are never severe.

In addition, diagnostic misinformation is not allowed. This includes content that promotes diagnostic methods that contradict local health authorities or WHO. Listed are the following: Claims that approved COVID-19 tests are dangerous or cause negative physical health effects; Claims that approved COVID-19 tests cannot diagnose COVID-19

“Claims that wearing a mask is dangerous or causes negative physical

health effects” and “Claims that masks do not play a role in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19” both violate the Big Tech company’s “misinformation” terms and conditions. Further in the policy, YouTube clarifies that “Claims that wearing a mask causes oxygen levels to drop to dangerous levels,” “Claims that masks cause lung cancer or brain damage,” and “Claims that wearing a mask gives you COVID-19” will also be punished.

UN General Assembly demands Israeli occupation full withdraw from occupied Syrian Golan

New York, SANA- The United Nations General Assembly has renewed the adoption of a resolution by a majority of member states calling on the Israeli occupation entity to fully withdraw from the occupied Syrian Golan to the line of June 4, 1967, in implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions.

94 countries voted in favor of the resolution, while the occupation entity and 7 countries voted against it, and 69 countries abstained from voting.

The General Assembly resolution states that the decision of “Israel” on December 14, 1981 to impose its laws and jurisdiction on the occupied Syrian Golan is null and void and has no legitimacy whatsoever, as confirmed by the Security Council in its resolution No. 497 of 1981 and demands “Israel” to cancel it and to fully withdraw from the occupied Syrian Golan till the line of June 4, 1967, in implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions.

The resolution stresses that all provisions related to the regulations attached to the Hague Convention of 1907 and the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of August 12, 1949, still apply to the Syrian territory occupied by “Israel” since 1967.

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Bassam Sabbagh, said in a statement that the General Assembly, in the resolutions it adopts annually for more than five decades, has been calling on “Israel”, the occupying power, to end its occupation of the Syrian Golan, and it has been asserting that any measures taken by “Israel” to impose its laws and jurisdiction over it are illegal, void and null and have no legal effect.

Sabbagh added that the rightful position of the General Assembly which is consistent with the principles and purposes of the Charter of the international organization was confirmed by the Security Council in its Resolution No. 497, which also rejects the Israeli occupation decision to “annex” the occupied Syrian Golan and considers it null and void and has no legal effect.

He noted that Israel’s intransigence, and its refusal to comply with the relevant Security Council and General Assembly resolutions confirms the unacceptable state of inability of the United Nations to compel Israel to end its occupation of the Syrian Golan, due to the protection umbrella provided to this entity by the United States and other countries and their unlimited support.

Sabbagh added that Israel’s continued defiance of the resolutions of international legitimacy and the failure to put an end to the United Nations’ inability to implement its resolutions constitute a real obstacle to establishing security and stability in the region and encourage the occupation to continue its aggressive practices.

He reiterated Syria’s demand that the United Nations take firm and immediate measures to put its decisions into practice in a manner that would ensure the end of the Israeli occupation of the occupied Syrian Golan and other occupied Arab lands, would stop the violations of the Israeli occupation and put an end to its crimes.

Sabbagh reiterated Syria’s firm adherence to its right to restore the entire occupied Syrian Golan up to the line of June 4, 1967, which is an alienable right that is not subject to negotiation or concession.

He stressed Syria’s firm and principled stance in support of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the guarantee of the refugees’ right to return to their homes in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions.

Obama Judge Orders Sidney Powell and Fellow Attorneys to Pay $175,000 for Daring to Challenge Michigan’s 2020 Election Results

Obama Judge Linda Parker ignored Trump’s case on the integrity of the 2020 Election in Michigan raised by attorney Sidney Powell. It’s not clear if she ever looked at it. Then Judge Judge Linda V. Parker threw the case out last December. There were over 100 legal affidavits from Michigan citizens alleging fraud in the 2020 election received in Michigan.

The Gateway Pundit recorded numerous riveting testimonials after the election from Michigan election workers who witnessed what they perceived were fraudulent acts during the election last November.

The judge’s opinion was a disgrace and it’s possible she didn’t even review the data from Powell supplied in the case.

She couldn’t have reviewed Powell’s support to come up with her judgment.

Judge Parker then ordered attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood be punished for daring to bring the case to court that she threw out.

Democrat tyrants will not allow dissent or challenges.

On Friday Judge Linda Parker charged Sidney Powell and eight other attorneys $175,000 for daring to bring the lawsuit against the Michigan election.

Again – dissent will not be allowed.

Judge Parker argued that Sidney Powell collected donations so she should be able to pay her fine.

Nine lawyers allied with former President Donald Trump were ordered Thursday to pay Detroit and Michigan a total of $175,000 in sanctions for abusing the court system with a sham lawsuit challenging the 2020 election results.

The money, which must be paid within 30 days, will cover the legal costs of defending against the suit, which were more than $153,000 for the city and nearly $22,000 for the state.

U.S. District Judge Linda Parker, who agreed to impose sanctions in August in a scathing opinion, rejected most of the attorneys’ objections to Detroit’s proposed award, but she did reduce it by about $29,000. Those sanctioned include Sidney Powell, L. Lin Wood and seven other lawyers who were part of the lawsuit filed on behalf of six Republican voters after Joe Biden’s 154,000-vote victory over Trump.

“Plaintiffs’ attorneys, many of whom seek donations from the public to fund lawsuits like this one … have the ability to pay this sanction,” Parker wrote.

Apple reveals which diplomats were hacked by Pegasus

Almost a dozen US diplomats working in Uganda have reportedly had their iPhones hacked by Pegasus spyware, in the first case of the malware created by Israeli company NSO being used against US government targets.

Apple has alerted eleven US diplomats either working in Uganda or on matters concerning the East African country that their phones had been penetrated by Pegasus, Reuters and the Washington Post reported on Friday, citing anonymous sources familiar with the matter.

The hack took place over the “last several months,” said Reuters, adding that the phones targeted had foreign numbers. NSO, the firm behind Pegasus, has maintained its malware cannot work on iPhones with US numbers.

While the State Department and Apple did not officially comment on the report, NSO issued a statement reacting to the allegations.

“Once the inquiry was received, and before any investigation under our compliance policy, we have decided to immediately terminate relevant customers’ access to the system, due to the severity of the allegations,” said NSO spokesperson Oded Hershkovitz.

The List: 19 Senate Republicans Give Biden Over $13B to Resettle Unlimited Flow of Afghans Across Their States

President Joe Biden’s massive Afghan resettlement operation, with no end date, has been funded by Congress to the sum of more than $13 billion thanks to 19 Senate Republicans who helped advance the plan.

Late Thursday evening, House Democrats and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) passed a government funding bill that will keep the federal government operating through mid-February. In the bill is more than $7 billion in funding for the Biden administration to resettle an unlimited number of Afghans across the United States.

In the Senate, 19 Senate Republicans joined Senate Democrats to send the bill to Biden’s desk — now authorizing, in total, $13.3 billion for the administration to resettle Afghans after 49 House and Senate Republicans voted in September to fund the resettlement operation $6.4 billion.

In the bill, Afghans and other foreign nationals are identified as “individuals at risk” who can take part in “relocations” to the U.S. “as a result of the situation in Afghanistan.”

Senate Republican support for Biden’s Afghan resettlement operation comes even as Republican voters are deeply opposed to the plan, multiple polls have shown. The latest Pew Research Center survey shows that 63 percent of GOP voters oppose the plan.

In addition, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has admitted that “not all” Afghans are being vetted through standard in-person interview procedures.

“We are not conducting in-person, refugee interviews of 100 percent individuals,” Mayorkas told lawmakers last month during a hearing.

Afghans are being temporarily housed across various U.S. military bases in Texas, New Jersey, Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, and New Mexico. From there, they are resettled across 46 states, at a rate of about 4,000 resettled every day, as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) help to secure them jobs.

The nation’s Afghan population has exploded since former President George W. Bush started the Afghanistan War in 2001. The number of Afghans living in the U.S., for instance, has shot up to 133,000 in 2019 — more than three times the 44,000 Afghans who lived in the U.S. before the start of the war.

The data revealed also that most Afghan arrivals in the U.S. live on welfare.

Ex-Obama Lawyer Tied To Hunter Biden Is Behind Ruby Freeman's Lawsuit Against Gateway Pundit

Ruby Freeman, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, and Protect Democracy have collaborated to sue The Gateway Pundit after the conservative news powerhouse published photos and videos that The Gateway Pundit, 45th President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and others have suggested show Freeman and Moss committing voter fraud. Georgia authorities say neither Freeman nor Moss acted inappropriately.

National File has learned Protect Democracy is run by a seasoned Democrat operative who served in the Obama administration as associate White House Counsel.

In an article on his website, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported that “On Wednesday Georgia election operatives Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea ‘Shaye’ Moss sued The Gateway Pundit, Jim Hoft and Joe Hoft for allegedly conducting a ‘campaign of lies’ against the two women that led to online and in-person harassment against the two women.”

Hoft continued, “We learned this news earlier today from The New York Times, Washington Post, NBC News, Yahoo, Reuters and several others who were tipped off on the news before it went public.” He added, “The organization behind the lawsuit is called Protect Democracy, a large far-left political organization.”

National File has since learned that Protect Democracy was founded by Ian Bassin, a former associate White House Counsel for President Barack Obama from 2009-2011 who more recently was tapped as part of the questionably named Transition Integrity Project in preparation for the 2020 election.

The Gateway Pundit was the first publication to identify Freeman as the woman who jumped to national prominence after being featured in a presentation delivered by Giuliani. Video showed Freeman and other election workers removing ballots from concealed black cases and processing them late at night, after observers had left the facility. Soon after Freeman was identified, her daughter Moss was identified as the one of the other election workers captured in the security footage.

The website is raising funds for its legal defense via the Christian crowdfunding website Give Send Go, and has raised nearly $80,000 at the time of publication.

On the Protect Democracy website, and in news articles from Reuters and The New York Times, it is claimed that Moss and Freeman became subject to a months long campaign of intimidating and offensive phone calls and messages. These alleged communications were often racist, according to Moss and Freeman.

Protect Democracy describes itself as “a joint website of United to Protect Democracy and the Protect Democracy Project,” one being a 501(c)(4) and one being a 501(c)(3). Both were founded in 2016 with the goal of thwarting the then-incoming Trump administration’s agenda.

Ian Bassin is co-founder of both United to Protect Democracy and the Protect Democracy Project, as well as the executive director of Project Democracy.

Bassin is a Democrat operative and was an associate White House Counsel to President Obama from 2009-2011. After Obama’s second term ended, Bassin became active in anti-Trump politics with the founding of United to Protect Democracy. The organization’s primary aim was to thwart President Trump’s agenda.

Months before Joe Biden was declared the winner amid sharp criticism in November 2020, and before it became clear that President Trump intended to contest the election in several states, Bassin was tapped to become part of the Transition Integrity Project as early as September of 2020. This group aimed to see Joe Biden installed in the White House come January 20, 2021.

Prior to this, Bassin “headed the far-left Avaaz network, founded in turn by the leftist MoveOn.org group, as well as the Truman National Security Project, which has featured lead Joe Biden policy advisor Jake Sullivan and Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden on its board,” according to The National Pulse in an article written on September 14 of last year.

The U.S. Supreme Court is deciding whether or not to uphold a Mississippi law that prohibits most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The court's decision is being closely watched by those on both sides of the abortion debate, as a decision to uphold the Mississippi law would run contrary to the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion ruling.
