It's emotional manipulation. Those that hate Trump will more readily accept the news that the vaccine is ineffective or worse if they associate Trump with the vaccine. That emotion will eventually be redirected, but in the short term it serves his purposes.
It's not that people are stupid. It's that they are immersed in a system that emotionally manipulates and steers them. Intentionally. As an extreme example think of the school shootings used to advance 'gun control'. In AUS and GB the populations were shocked and then manipulated politically. Look at the Smollet/Anti-Lynching bill effort: create an emotional event to coincide with legislation and political 'moral outrage'. Trump and his allies have used the same technique of emotional manipulation but in a more benign fashion.
If you understand the adversary you'll understand how the people have been groomed and deceived and steered. It serves the purpose of our adversary if you become misdirected. It is how they advance and hide simultaneously.
Neither of us have any doubt that many will follow the Judas goat to the goat train and hence the abattoir. There may still be anons in the herd, though, and some can still serve. Why not help those we can?
