The book of Enoch IS interesting, but is supposedly not canonical by most accounts. Thing is, it may at least have SOME insights, and it is interesting to read, although it's hard to say how much truth there is to it.
As far as the synagogue of Satan goes, it isn't saying that anyone who goes to a synagogue is automatically bad, its differentiation between those who listen to and obey God vs those who just give Him lip service. BOTH are in the same place, but their ACTIONS are the determining factor, not where they happen to go worship.
