You can demand other treatments, and if you have to, take them to court. Or, find another hospital with a different protocol. Remdisivir is causing the organ failure.
I've know a few people to get it; wife (who is a nurse) is one of them. It kicked her ass; bigly. She is also one of those "I get my flu shot religiously every fucking year for the past 25 years" until this all happened. Now you couldn't pay her to take it. She's convinced, now, that there's probably something "not quite right about all this".
