In this instance, all parties know the verdict will not be overturned. Political grandstanding to the bitter end, combined with this guy trying to save public face in a situation where it just can't happen. I ask what possible sane grounds exist for the coming appeal. Saw a poll taken before the verdicts, and 74% of the public thought he was guilty. The 26% who did not are illiterate retards, but even among that demographic, today's result is shaking up some of the cohort. The guy did it, and everyone knows it. Now I would like to see people polled on the question of who else was involved, i.e. who pulled Smollett's chain.
