Russia Formally Quits 'Open Skies' Treaty, Saying There's No Point Without US

On Saturday Russia's Foreign Ministry issued a statement declaring it has formally ceased participation in the 'Treaty on Open Skies' - a belated move which follows the United States already having withdrawn during the last year of the Trump administration.

The Kremlin says that without Washington, there's little reason to continue Russian participation, despite the more than two dozen other participating nations. "We respect the decision of the participating States remaining in the Treaty to continue its implementation. We wish them constructive and fruitful collaboration," a formal statement reads. "However, it is obvious that without the participation of the United States and our country, the effectiveness of the Treaty on Open Skies will decrease sharply: the area of application will drop by about 80 percent, and the number of Open Skies missions planned for 2022 will severely decrease," the ministry said.

Initiated in 1992 and then ratified in 2002, it allowed the 35 member states that eventually joined it to conduct short-notice, unarmed observation flights to monitor other countries' military operations in mutual verification of arms-control agreements. Russia says that nearly 450 reconnaissance flights were allowed over its territory since the treaty was initiated three decades ago.

The treaty even allowed Russian recon flights over tightly restricted Washington D.C. airspace — in past years Russian Tupolev Tu-154s have even flown at low altitude over such sensitive sites as Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, the US Capitol, the Pentagon, and CIA headquarters in Langley. Starting in May 2020, when Trump first announced the US intent to withdraw, US officials previously said of Open Skies that the US essentially "get nothing out of it" while it potentially exposes national security secrets to broad Russian surveillance.

Moscow is now throwing up its hands, saying without US participation, it too really gets nothing out of it. "Decades of fruitful implementation of the Treaty on Open Skies showed that it served well as a tool for strengthening confidence and security, creating additional opportunities for an objective and unbiased assessment of the military potential and military activities of the participating States," the foreign ministry emphasized, according to an English translation of the statement in state media.

The new statement puts blame for the collapse of what was meant as a post-Cold War era 'confidence building' treaty (along with the INF Treaty, also dead), squarely on Washington's shoulders.

"Full responsibility for the degradation of the agreement lies at the feet of the initiator of the collapse of the Treaty on Open Skies: the United States of America," the ministry said. Interestingly, within the US government, the statement alludes further "to the internal struggle of various influence groups in the United States, in which the hawks took over."

White House May Redirect Military Equipment To Ukraine

The Biden administration is mulling a plan which would redirect helicopters and other military equipment, that was once bound for the now-defunct Afghan military, to Ukraine, in an effort to quickly bolster its defenses amid an ongoing buildup of Russian troops near the border, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Pentagon officials 'generally' support giving more arms to Ukraine, however the National Security Council has yet to approve the delivery. Meanwhile, the White House continues to seek a diplomatic solution to encourage Moscow to back off, according to US officials.

The military kit previously earmarked for the Afghan National Security Forces includes Russian-made Mi-17 helicopters, U.S. officials said. The helicopters would provide more mobility for Ukrainian forces, which have a large front to defend and lost aircraft in clashes in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea and pro-Moscow separatists rebelled in Ukraine’s east.

Ukrainian officials have also been lobbying the administration for air-defense systems, including Stinger surface-to-air missiles, that would help them defend their country against Russian aircraft, a Ukrainian official said. The country currently uses Soviet-era systems, which have been modernized but lag behind some of the high-tech equipment used by the Russian military. -WSJ

According to a NSC spokesman, "We continuously assess additional military assistance packages," adding that $2.5 billion in military aid has already been provided to Ukraine since 2014 - which includes $450 million this year.

The NSC may be cautious, however, as stepped up arms shipments may escalate tensions with Moscow, according to some members of Congress and government officials.

Last month, a bipartisan group of lawmakers traveled to Ukraine on a fact-finding mission, only to report back that Biden's threat of economic sanctions on Russia wasn't going to be enough to deter a potential Russian attack. Their solution? Sanctions and accelerated military support which would include air-defense systems and antiship missiles.

"I want to give the Ukrainians defensive weapons that will have a high cost in terms of Russian casualties," said Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA), one of the officials on the trip who insists that the US needs to now focus "on deterring a conflict from happening versus responding to a conflict if it does happen."

"The problem is more bureaucracy. It just seems like it’s taking a long time to just deliver the damn weapons. We’re just running out of time here. We need to speed things up," he added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, meanwhile, has been making public demands - including that NATO back off its eastward expansion which would include granting membership to Ukraine.

Russian reaction to US 'state sponsor of terrorism threat'

A leading Russian senator has responded to a new proposal from American legislators to brand Moscow a “state sponsor of terrorism,” warning that the idea would weaken cooperation between Moscow and Washington.

“This initiative will undermine dialogue between Russia and the US if it’s adopted,” Sergey Tsekov, who sits in the upper house of Russia’s parliament, told RIA Novosti on Thursday. “It is characteristic of a certain strand of the American political elite.”

Tsekov, a member of the ruling United Russia party, claimed Moscow is only interested in self-defense, adding that his country doesn’t interfere in the affairs of sovereign states and respects other nations’ rights. “And now they’re calling us a sponsor of terrorism,” he complained, insisting Washington is a greater contributor to instability.

He said the American senators’ proposal, which would provide hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine in an effort to contain Moscow, would be paying “not for peace, but for war,” and lamented what he sees as the powerful American government’s propensity for starting conflicts.

“Just the voicing of such proposals makes the situation in Ukraine more difficult, giving support to the ‘party of war,’” he went on.

The lawmaker said he hopes American President Joe Biden will not support the bill. He noted that the US leader recently had a video call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in which the two agreed to try to find a diplomatic solution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine’s eastern Donbass region. He added that he believes there are enough intelligent people working in Biden’s administration to realize that a war in Ukraine would compromise the safety of the US itself “in the context of global security.”

On Wednesday, eight American Republican party senators submitted a bill, speculatively titled the ‘GUARD Act’, containing a range of measures designed to support Kiev. The proposed legislation would authorize an additional $450 million in military aid and impose new sanctions on Nord Stream 2, the recently constructed pipeline that will bring Russian gas to Europe through the Baltic Sea, which Ukraine and the US have strongly opposed.

The bill would also officially designate Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism” if Moscow advances militarily on its eastern European neighbor. In recent weeks, American and Ukrainian intelligence services have accused the Kremlin of “aggressive actions” on the border with Ukraine, including troop buildup, and said they suspected a Russian invasion could be in the works.

Moscow has consistently denied the accusations, calling the reports “American disinformation,” and said pledges to support Ukraine are dangerous because they could push Kiev towards a military solution in the country’s war-torn Donbass region.

Former England footballer Matt Le Tissier has called for an investigation into the spate of sportsmen and athletes collapsing with sudden heart problems, asserting that he is not an “anti-vaxxer” and just wants more information.

California votes to drop 3,000 pounds of poison from helicopters

The California Coastal Commission voted 5-3 this week to drop nearly 3,000 pounds of poison onto the Farallon Islands National Wildlife Refuge in a controversial effort to stop invasive mice.

The vote passed on Thursday evening, giving authorities initial approval to drop the poison onto the islands in a bid to stop the mice, which are threatening rare bird populations. The plan will now have to be approved by the Pacific Southwest regional director of the US Fish and Wildlife Service, however, before action can take place.

“To protect and preserve the native, endemic species and habitats of the South Farallon Islands, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service proposes to eradicate the non-native, invasive house mouse from the islands through the use of bait pellets treated with the rodenticide brodifacoum,” read the proposal to the commission, explaining that the poison would be “deployed from a specialized bait spreading bucket slung beneath a helicopter.”

Some mice would be captured and fitted with “radio collars” to ensure that the eradication measures are successful, the proposal added, while gulls would be dispersed from the area and prevented from returning until all of the poison is consumed or washed away by rain.

The mice reportedly threaten rare seabirds on the islands, including the endangered ashy storm petrel, and refuge manager Gerry McChesney said on Thursday that poisoning the mice would be “necessary” and “the right thing to do to stop the ecosystem carnage done by mice,” which is a “human-caused problem” due to the pests arriving via ships.

However, the proposal has proved extremely controversial, and the California Coastal Commission received heavy criticism this week for approving the plan.

In a statement on Friday, wildlife protection organization WildCare said it was “very disappointed” the commission had approved something so “potentially catastrophic,” warning that “it is impossible for anyone to ensure that the massive load of poison” would “remain on the island alone, only affecting the rodents it is intended to kill.”

Poison will end up in the water and kill marine life. It will also be in the bodies of birds leaving the islands. These poisons travel up the food chain

“We know that this poison drop, when it occurs, will likely bring a large number of poisoned animals needing care to our Wildlife Hospital, and we will be ready to provide that care if necessary,” WildCare said.

Trump claims Israel had ‘absolute power’ over Congress

Donald Trump is facing backlash after sounding off about what he called the “dangerous” apathy of American Jews towards Israel and claiming that the country once had “absolute power” over the US Congress.

During a recent interview with Israeli journalist Barak Ravid, Trump said that Jewish people in the US “either don’t like Israel or don’t care about Israel.” Audio excerpts from the sit-down were played on an episode of the podcast ‘Unholy: Two Jews on the news’, released on Friday.

I must be honest, it’s a very dangerous thing that’s happening. There’s people in this country that are Jewish [who] no longer love Israel.

Trump said that at one point, Israel had “absolute power over Congress,” adding that he thought it was “the exact opposite” today. He held Barack Obama and Joe Biden responsible for this supposedly diminishing support for Israel in Washington.

“I’ll tell you, the evangelical Christians love Israel more than the Jews in this country,” said Trump, who referenced his years in New York City to note how “many Jewish friends” had a “great love for Israel, which has dissipated over the years for people in the US.”

The fact that Jewish people still voted for Obama and Biden was evidence that they don’t like or care about Israel anymore, he said.

Trump held up the New York Times as an example of anti-Israel attitudes, claiming the paper “hates Israel,” despite being run by “Jewish people.” He pointed directly to the Sulzberger family, who have operated the paper for more than a century.

The former president’s comments quickly came under fire from Jewish groups, with the American Jewish Congress criticizing Trump for repeating “radioactive antisemitic tropes” and “fueling dangerous stereotypes” while “[peddling] unfounded conclusions about the unbreakable ties that bind American Jews to Israel.”

Massive Child Sex Trafficking Ring Busted, Ran for Decades, Protected By Police in Exchange for Sex

Queens, NY — Six sex traffickers were arrested this week for running a Queens-based sex trafficking ring which trafficked young women and children from Mexico into the US. One of those indicted in Brooklyn federal court was a Putnam County police officer who was protecting, not the children, but the child sex traffickers — in exchange for sex.

Wayne Peiffer, a Village of Brewster police officer has been helping human traffickers smuggle in children and younger women from Mexico for years. The sadistic human smuggling scheme has been in operation for nearly two decades since at least 2002, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

According to the indictment, Peiffer protected the child sex trafficking ring in exchange for sex with the victims. For years, Peiffer helped the ring avoid arrests, tipped them off to stings, and allowed them to abuse children and young women by exploiting the trust in his badge.

According to the complaint, in exchange for the protection, Peiffer had his way with the trafficking victims, even bringing them to the police station where he would rape them.

For more than eight years, Peiffer allegedly directed members of the Cid-Hernandez Sex Trafficking Organization and the Godinez Prostitution Business to deliver women to him, including at the BPD police station, so that he could engage in sexual activity with the women at no cost to Peiffer. In exchange, Peiffer provided the Cid-Hernandez Sex Trafficking Organization and the Godinez Prostitution Business protection from arrest, including by advanced warning of law enforcement operations and intervening to prevent arrest.

“The individuals named in the indictment were part of an elaborate network of conspirators that used deception and coercion to sell dreams of a better life in the United States to young and impressionable women, who arrived only to be forced into a miserable life of torment, sexual abuse and prostitution at the hands of their captors,” stated HSI Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Ricky J. Patel. “The criminal organization also allegedly retained the services of a corrupt cop, who betrayed the badge and the people that he swore to protect by being complicit in these deplorable acts and accepting payments in sexual favors.”

Sadly, many victims of sex trafficking have similar stories of police officers protecting their captors.

TFTP covered a shocking report from the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women paints that painted a disturbing picture of law enforcement and their role in sex trafficking. The report found that instead of preventing child and adult sex trafficking, many police officers are participating in it.

The report is titled “Sex Trafficking in Hawaii: The Stories of Survivors,” which detailed the testimonials from multiple victims. One particularly disturbing part of the report was the fact that almost half of all the victims interviewed reported that police officers participated in their abuse and victimization.

“The corruption of members of the criminal justice system reported by the participants in the study was pervasive in their stories of being prostituted,” the report noted.

The report found that the average age of those being trafficked is just 14-years-old, showing how early the abuse began.

One of the victims interviewed, who wished to remain anonymous for obvious reasons explained that “the same people that are charging you for prostitution are the people turning around and buying it from you.”

While the idea that police officers are abusing victims of sex trafficking may seem outlandish to some, it should come as no surprise to those who’ve been paying attention.

Police officers using their power to exploit human trafficking victims is a common thread among many cases. Protesters clash with police during rally against Covid restrictions

Anti-vaxxers have clashed with police during a demonstration against anti-Covid measures in central London as officials admit they are “extremely worried” about the epidemiological situation in the UK capital.

A ‘freedom rally’ organized by several self-described ‘resistance groups’ started at midday on Saturday at Parliament Square.

Its participants are protesting the vaccine mandate for NHS staff, the recent introduction of Covid-passports, and other pandemic-related measures. None of them are wearing masks or keeping social distance, with many holding banners against ‘medical apartheid’ and ‘tyranny’, along with hippie-style ‘Love wins’.

There have been some scuffles between demonstrators and law enforcement officers though generally the protest appears to be peaceful.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said earlier on Saturday that he was “extremely worried” about the speed of the spread of the new Covid variant Omicron, which is now dominant in the capital. He told reporters that growing numbers in cases are leading “to big issues in relation to staff absences and the ability of our public services to run at the optimal levels.”

The UK has registered record numbers of Covid-19 cases three days in a row with more than 93,000 recorded on Friday. Such figures have reportedly prompted the UK government to consider imposing a new two-week lockdown after Christmas.

UK ministers working on new lockdown plans – reports

The UK could be heading for a post-Christmas lockdown, in which Brits would be forbidden from gathering indoors. Across Europe, governments are rolling out fresh restrictions to deal with the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

Although the Omicron variant of the coronavirus is highly transmissible and appears more resistant to vaccines, its symptoms have been described as only mild to moderate. Nevertheless, the UK may be returning to the restrictions of last spring, according to a report in the Times on Friday night.

According to the report, ministers will present proposals to Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the coming days advocating for a return to levels of restriction not seen since April, when the UK was in ‘Step 2’ of its roadmap out of full-on winter lockdown. These restrictions would see indoor gatherings banned except for work purposes and outdoor service only in bars and restaurants.

This new lockdown could be in place as soon as December 27, and is described as a “circuit breaker” to slow the rapid rise in daily cases, which hit a record 93,000 on Friday. Despite the alarming surge in cases, Covid-related deaths have steadily fallen since early November, and ten times fewer people are dying with the virus now than at the beginning of the year.

The Times’ sources said that Parliament may be recalled early next week to debate the proposals, which have not yet been formally considered.

Johnson has thus far insisted that he is not in favor of “closing things down.” Despite Omicron’s apparent resistance to the current crop of vaccines, he has promoted booster shots as the main means of defeating the variant, promising this week to get every English adult a booster dose by the New Year.

His government is not the only one discussing another round of lockdowns. Ireland on Friday introduced earlier closing times for pubs and restaurants, effective Monday through to the end of January. In Denmark, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also announced a raft of new restrictions including crowd limits and mask mandates in stores and the closure of entertainment venues, pending parliamentary approval.

In the Netherlands, government health advisers have recommended the closure of all but essential shops and services, with Prime Minister Mark Rutte due to make an announcement on Saturday evening.

New York Legislation Provides for Indefinite Detention of Unvaccinated at Governor’s Whim.

On January 5th, 2022, the New York Senate and Assembly will vote on a bill that would, if passed into law, grant permissions to remove and detain cases, contacts, carriers, or anyone suspected of presenting a “significant threat to public health” and remove them from public life on an indefinite basis.

Bill A416 presents a serious risk to the basic liberties of all Americans in the state of New York, including their right to choose whether or not to receive medical treatment and vaccinations related to thus far undetermined contagious diseases.

The bill gives the Governor of New York, his or her delegates – including but not limited to the commissioner and heads of local health departments – the right to remove and detain any individuals or groups of people through issuing a single order. The orders only have to include the individual’s name(s) or “reasonably specific descriptions of the individuals or groups.”

The department can decide to hold a person or group of people in a medical facility or any other they deem appropriate. The language is purposefully vague.

Though the bill attempts to state that no one shall be held for more than 60 days, the language allows for court orders to waive this maximum detention time. After 60 days, the court is allowed an additional 90 days to consider the detention of an individual, a cycle that can last indefinitely per the opinion of the department.

It goes on to state that the Bill will “require an individual who has been exposed to or infected by a contagious disease to complete an appropriate, prescribed course of treatment, preventive medication or vaccination,” essentially giving the government the right to detain anyone they want and forcibly vaccinate them.

UK Govt Proposes Two-Week ‘Circuit Breaker’ Lockdown Amid Omicron Doomsday Predictions

The British government is reportedly preparing plans for a two-week “circuit breaker” lockdown before the end of the year amid doomsday predictions from scientific advisors of up to 5,000 deaths per day from the Omicron variant of the Chinese coronavirus.

Leaked lockdown proposals would see England return to the restrictions imposed as the “Step 2” plan enacted after the winter shutdown last year. Under the plans, ministers are said to be considering reimposing a ban on indoor mixing, with exceptions carved out for workplaces, according to The Times of London.

While the plans would not reintroduce forced closures of pubs and restaurants, the hard-hit hospitality industry would once again be forced to limit service to outdoor seating. Families and friends would also be barred from meeting indoors, with gatherings limited to six people, outside.

The proposals stop short of introducing a blanket “stay at home” order and schools and shops are expected to remain free to stay open. Weddings and funerals will still be permitted to be held, but would be limited to 15 to 30 people.

Though the reintroduction of lockdown restrictions are expected to be imposed in the days following Christmas, the imposition of more measures before the winter holiday have reportedly not been ruled out.

The push for another lockdown in England comes amid increasingly dire predictions from the scientific establishment, with computer models from disgraced ‘Professor Lockdown’ Neil Ferguson predicting up to 5,000 daily deaths from the Omicron variant if the country remains relatively free.

Professor Fergusson — who resigned from his government advisory role after it was revealed that he violated his own lockdown diktats in order to meet with his married lover but was later rehired by the Boris Johnson government — was widely credited for the introduction of Communist China-inspired lockdowns throughout the Western world at the outset of the pandemic.

At the beginning of the crisis, the Imperial College epidemiologist predicted that 510,000 deaths in Britain during the first year of the pandemic if the government did not lock down the country. To date, Britain has seen approximately 147,000 deaths attributed to the Wuhan virus.

The latest doomsday models have come under criticism after public health officials from South Africa — the believed origin of the Omicron variant — have reported that the strain of the virus has not resulted in a dramatic increase in deaths.

The government has already been forced to walk back warnings from Health Secretary Sajid Javid on Monday when he said that models estimate that there are currently 200,000 infections occurring every day. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said on Thursday that this claim was “no longer valid” as a result of people changing their behaviour in response to the new variant.

Rowling believes, as do many, that if a male rapes a woman, there is no conceivable reality in which that male is a woman.

Even if he calls himself a woman, demands to be referred to with female pronouns, wears his hair long, his nails painted, dons dresses and lipstick, Rowling, like many others who have a keen understanding of reality, know that this male is not a woman.

Yet for her trouble in standing up for the rights of female victim of sex crimes, she has been pilloried in the press and by delusional activists who say that males who say they are women are actually and in fact women, even those who commit rape with their male penises.

These critics include NBC contributor and pedophilia apologist Noah Berlatsky who works with Prostasia, who was given a column in The Independent to state his case that Rowling is essentially just mean when she says that rapists should not be given the benefit of their preferred pronouns.

Berlatsky writes that "Rowling — through her tweets, her advocacy and her fiction — seems to imagine a world in which trans women are privileged predators working with a compliant police force to assault innocent cis women. In fact, trans women are a small, marginalized, vulnerable minority, who face terrifying rates of sexual violence from, among others, the police who are supposed to help them."

For Berlatsky, the victim status bestowed upon trans women is of greater importance than any victim status women have. He believes that there should be more sympathy for male-bodied persons who identify as transgender than there should be for women who have a right to single-sex spaces.

Berlatsky is communications director for Prostasia, a pro-pedophile organization that tries to legitimize and destigmatize pedophilia under the guise of helping children. The group offers pedophiles a MAP Support Club, which "is a peer support chat for minor attracted people who are fundamentally against child sexual abuse and committed to never harm children, and is a safe space to have peer support in times of trouble." This group is for people who are aged 13 and up.

After Berlatsky interviewed a professor who wrote a book about destigmatizing pedophilia and was then fired once that work was publicized, he said he was surprised that there had been so much backlash. For Berlatsky, pedophiles and their predilections are already normalized.

Manufacturing Contempt for Assange: How the Media Made WikiLeaks Founder into a Scapegoat

The High Court in London has upheld the U.S. government’s appeal to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, a key step towards his rendition to the United States. The Australian publisher faces up to 175 years in prison once he sets foot on American soil.

Whether he ever makes it to the United States is still in question. His legal team has indicated they will challenge the ruling, which will inevitably draw out court proceedings and prolong his stay inside Belmarsh Prison. Also of note is the 50-year-old’s health. This weekend, it was revealed that he had suffered a stroke in October as a result of the stress of the trial.

Two individuals who have been closely monitoring the Assange trial are Pablo Navarette and John McEvoy. Pablo is a British-Chilean filmmaker and the founder of Alborada magazine, an outlet concentrating on Latin American politics. John is an investigative journalist whose work documents the impact of the British national security state on public life. In November, the pair published an article entitled ‘“A Lot of Mistakes”: The Guardian and Julian Assange,’ which can be read on MintPress News. Today, they discussed the role that The Guardian, and the mainstream press more generally, have played in persecuting him.

It is now known that UC Global – the private security firm hired to protect the Ecuadorian Embassy, where Assange was confined – was secretly spying on their charge, sending the information they gleaned back to the United States government. This included security cameras and audio bugs. The company even scavenged the embassy’s garbage, stealing Assange’s children’s diapers.

Guardian journalist Stephanie Kirchgaessner was aware of the spying long before it was made public. Yet rather than blowing the whistle, publishing a huge scoop, or even simply notifying Assange privately, she instead chose to write highly dubious articles insinuating that he was an agent of Russian malfeasance. “It tells you what questions journalists were asking at this time. They weren’t asking the right ones,” McEvoy told Lowkey.

The Guardian was one of WikiLeaks’s partner organizations, being fed bombshell after bombshell, revelations that helped build its brand and its audience. Yet, far from standing up for free speech and an open society, it was in the lead in attacking WikiLeaks and its founder. Of particular note is Luke Harding, who, mistakenly or otherwise, published the passcode to a trove of WikiLeaks documents, an act that the U.S. government claims endangered its representatives around the world.

In 2018, Harding also published a viral story that claimed that Assange had secretly met with Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and unnamed “Russians” while in the Ecuadorian Embassy. The insinuation was that Assange (and Russia) was partly responsible for Trump’s shocking election in 2016.

There were gaping holes in this accusation, not least that there was no record of Manafort ever visiting the embassy, one of the most surveilled buildings in the most surveilled city in the world. Police, reporters, activists and intelligence agents were outside 24 hours a day. Yet Manafort was reportedly able to enter without anyone noticing. Almost immediately, The Guardian walked back the claims, adding qualifying language. Even more embarrassing, it later transpired that Harding’s source was likely a disgraced Ecuadorian agent who had previously burned The Guardian with fake information, forcing them to retract a story.

From being Assange’s partner, the newspaper morphed into “the vanguard or the spearhead of a campaign of vilification by the mainstream media,” Navarette told Lowkey.

Maxwell Case: Surveilled And Silenced - Twitter censors trial coverage as FBI connections broached

Even this threadbare reckoning was too much information for Twitter, which banned a popular account reporting daily from Manhattan Federal Court. The new Twitter CEO has previously said the company is not bound by the First Amendment, and blocked posts that were drawing 500,000 views.The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, former partner of Jeffrey Epstein, looks like it is being set up to fail. Prosecutors rested their case after nine days in which victims seemed barely prepared for cross-examination and co-conspirators were notable by their absence.

The touchy revelation seems to have been that hard drives removed from Jeffrey Epstein’s townhouse in 2019 already had FBI tags on them, suggesting they’d previously been seized and returned to the predator.

The state-corporatist media, like the federal prosecutors, have ignored the clear implication of surveillance and even blackmail. The court case is limited to six counts relating to sex trafficking and Maxwell’s alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of teen women.

Noname Security raises $135 million at $1 billion valuation

The cybersecurity company is one of many that has enjoyed high funding this year.

Noname Security announced it has secured $135 million in Series C, at $1 billion valuation.

The funding round was led by fintech company Georgian and global Venture Capital firm Lightspeed, with participation from existing investors – including Insight Partners, Cyberstarts, Next47, Forgepoint, and The Syndicate Group.

This new investment will fund the global expansion of Noname Security’s go-to-market and R&D teams. Noname Security has raised $220m. in total financing to date in its one year out of stealth.

Noname is one of many cybersecurity companies that has enjoyed high funding this year: according to Start-Up Nation Central, the cybersecurity sector accounts for $7.2b. of the funding put into the Israeli hi-tech ecosystem in 2021.

In a recent report from the nonprofit analytics organization, it was reported that the Israeli tech sector has raised a record-setting $25b. this year.

In 2021, Noname Security has provided extensive application programming interface (API) posture management, runtime security, and API testing. To date, the company has discovered and remediated misconfigured APIs that would have led to the data leakage of billions of sensitive records, and the platform now actively blocks over 1,000 attacks per day across its customers.

Illinois Ends Parental Notification of Abortion for Minors

In Illinois, a female minor must get a parent’s permission to have a tooth pulled. She must get her parent’s OK to get plastic surgery. She will need her parent’s permission to get a tonsillectomy, should that become necessary.

But, starting June 1, 2022, a minor female in Illinois will no longer need her parent’s permission to get an abortion.

Abortion advocates are cheering this new law, claiming it “expands health care options” for kids. If it’s only a “health care option,” though, why leave parents out of the loop?

“Today’s bill signing by the governor strips parents of their basic right to know what is happening in their minor daughter’s life,” state Rep. Avery Bourne, a Morrisonville Republican, said in a statement. “Even more concerning, removing this common sense protection will increase the likelihood of sexual abuse, exploitation and allow the trafficking of minor girls to continue unchecked.”

But those who supported the repeal of parental notification argued this provides access to medical care to the most vulnerable minors.

“Access to sexual and reproductive health care starting at a young age is crucial,” state Sen. Melinda Bush, a Grayslake Democrat, said in a statement. “By providing resources and education, we are giving young girls vital information and bodily autonomy.”

Everyone knows there’s a lot more at stake here than simple “reproductive health care.” Since a young girl is destroying another human being rather than reproducing when she gets an abortion, calling it “reproductive health care” is absurdly off base.

But the rhetoric used by abortion advocates is very important. It’s meant to assuage the conscience of people who might be troubled by killing a baby. Calling abortion an expansion of reproductive health care sure sounds great, but it bears no relationship to the reality of what’s actually happening.

Governor J.B. Pritzker touted Illinois’ progressiveness in empowering children to kill their babies without telling mom and dad.

Federal Judge Removes Protection For The Sackler Family

A federal court on Thursday overruled the decision by a bankruptcy court that had decided the Sackler family, owners of Purdue Pharma who have been tied to the opiod crisis, would not have to face civil lawsuits.

The ruling was issued by U.S. District Court Judge Colleen McMahon.

The Federal District Court's decision pleased Attorney General Merrick Garland, who wrote a statement that read, "The bankruptcy court did not have the authority to deprive victims of the opioid crisis of their right to sue the Sackler family."

The $4.5 billion settlement the bankruptcy court reached agreed to shield the Sackler family from facing any civil lawsuits or criminal cases. The Sacklers threatened to walk away from the settlement if the court did not guarantee them legal protection. The family has not made a statement on Thursday's decision.

U.S. bankruptcy court judge Robert Drain ruled that if there was no protection provided to the Sackler family, it would derail the reorganization of Purdue Pharma, the goal of which is to direct funds toward individuals and communities that have suffered from the opioid epidemic.

Purdue Pharma filed for bankruptcy in 2019 in the face of 3,000 lawsuits, which name the Sackler family and the pharma company as key contributors to the opioid epidemic that has killed 760,000 people since 1999. The accusations claim the Sackler family and the company pushed lies about their drug OxyContin, claiming it was not addictive while downplaying the risks associated with overdose.

Soros-Backed Activist Nandini Jammi Argued for Lesser Punishments for Young Sex Offenders

The Soros-backed cancel-culture activist Nandini Jammi argued that sex offender registries are too harsh for young sex offenders, an old blog post she authored reveals.

Published in a blog post for the “National Crime Prevention Council” (where she was an intern), Nandini bemoaned the “Eternal Sentence for Juvenile Sex Offenders.” Nandini angrily confirmed she authored the post when reached for comment, which she emphasized was from years go. Of course, she doesn’t afford the same luxury to those she (usually unsuccessfully) attempts to cancel.

In her article, Nandini argues: “Of course, juvenile sex offenders aren’t toddlers, and they generally know what they are doing is wrong. However, a number of things should be considered before we give them a de facto life sentence by listing them on the Internet along with violent, knowing, and malicious adults.”

She brings up an extremely rare case involving a fourth grader in an attempt to make her case: “Someone like Johnnie, however, (who was referred to by that pseudonym in a New York Times article), may be branded for life. He’s a juvenile sex offender, but he did the crime when he was in fourth grade. That’s the question: would you give a now 14-year old the same “life sentence” that you give a grown man? And if the answer is yes, how would you draw the line between being a teen and being a responsible adult? Can we justify treating a juvenile sex offender as a minor and an adult simultaneously? Perhaps judges should be given discretion in each individual case.”

She then notes that it would simply be better if we could just prevent sexual assault in the first place, a blatantly obvious statement that applies to every possible evil in the world. Of course, punishment and being put on a sex offender registry tends to be a good deterrent!

Nandini concludes with some additional sympathy for youthful sex offenders, writing “However, we do know for sure that the stigma attached with being a known sex offender is harrowing for anyone, especially a teenager. As an earlier NCPC blog states, we need to ensure that offenders ‘make positive connections to the community.’ How do we do that? We’re still working our way through that question.”

Her blog post was later cited in an academic paper titled “THE INTEGRATION OF JUVENILE SEX OFFENDERS INTO HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS.” The paper’s abstract states that it “provides recommendations to university administrators for writing institutional policies that balance the right to an education and the need for safety of juvenile sex offenders and campus communities.”

Notably, Jammi maintains a friendship with Chad Loder, an antifa activist that has been accused of abuse by multiple women. As the Post Millennial revealed:

In August 2020, Twitter user “@sladeofyaupon” posted screenshots of a direct message from Loder where he sent her an unsolicited shirtless photo of himself next to a young child. She wrote: “Women should be able to participate in activist communities without dealing with creepy dudes. I only followed @/chadloder because I thought he would be a useful comrade. I’m angry.”

In May 2021, a second woman posted screenshots of a direct message from Loder making comments on her appearance. “Y’all don’t have to boost this but I just want everyone to be aware this dude hopped in my DMs hitting on me,” she wrote.

Nandini has refused to respond to countless comments bringing this behavior to her attention.

South Korea: Covid Numbers Reach Record Peak Despite 92% of Adults Fully ‘Vaccinated’

South Korea was hailed in 2020 as the champion of Covid control. At first, the country had much lower case counts and deaths than most European countries. The government will be imposing the country’s strictest corona restrictions since the pandemic’s beginning. On January 2, 2021, gatherings will be limited to four people as long as they are fully vaccinated. In addition, restaurants, cafes, and bars will be forced to close by 9 p.m., while movie theatres and internet cafes are open until 10 p.m.

The tighter restrictions will leave few options for the unvaccinated. They will be mandated to dine out alone or rely on takeout.

Cases Soar Despite 92% of the Population Receiving Two Jabs.

South Korea was only six weeks into its newly implemented “living With COVID-19” policy, which had placed no restrictions on opening hours and allowed gatherings of up to eight people regardless of their “vaccination” status.

The number of new Covid cases has almost quadrupled since last month. In addition, the number of severe cases has tripled, despite more than 92 percent of South Korean adults being fully “vaccinated.”

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) registered more than 7850 new cases on Tuesday, setting a new daily record. The following day they reported 7,622 cases, and last week, more than 7,000 cases were reported for the first time.

The number of serious cases has reached an all-time high, with some 87 percent of intensive care unit beds taken up in the Seoul metropolitan area and about 81 percent in use nationwide. In addition, many ‘breakthrough infections’ are registered.

CDC, Mainstream Media Cover-up Decades of Child Vaccine Injuries

Media and public health officials perpetuated their entrenched practice of gaslighting autism families when earlier this month they trotted out the worn-out canard that a 23% rise in autism prevalence over a two-year period “reflects more awareness … rather than a true increase.”

The basis for this mean-spirited whopper was the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) release of its biennial report on autism prevalence as of 2018.

The report estimated autism affected 1 in 44 American 8-year-olds born in 2010 (2.27%). The CDC’s prior report estimated prevalence at 1 in 54 8-year-olds born in 2008 (1.85%).

Using a different methodology, the 2019-2020 National Survey of Children’s Health situated autism prevalence for children ages 3 to 17 at 1 in 34 (2.9%).

Notwithstanding the media spin, CDC’s new report cannot hide the fact that autism rates have not stopped rising — and the trend has persisted for decades.

This was acknowledged by the report’s New Jersey author, researcher Walter Zahorodny, who states that U.S. autism prevalence — far from plateauing — “has increased continuously over 20 years.”

Zahorodny, who years ago described the situation as “urgent,” has consistently rejected “better awareness” or “changes in diagnostic criteria” as explanations.

Twenty years (the period of time during which CDC has had its tracking system in place) is itself a gross understatement — autism prevalence in the 1990s (1 in 1,000) already represented a tenfold increase over the condition’s estimated prevalence in the 1970s.

Greeting the new data with a wink and a yawn, the media also ignored the fact that some subgroups and regions are experiencing even more of a “red alert” situation.

Zahorodny called attention, for example, to the finding that autism prevalence for California’s boys is an “unprecedented” 1 in 16 (6.4%) — almost double the dreadful rate of 1 in 28 boys overall (3.6%).

The “Golden State” now has the dubious distinction of having the highest autism rate in the nation.

Moreover, recent projections by autism researchers Mark Blaxill, Toby Rogers and Cynthia Nevison suggest, if current trends continue, the autism rate could surpass 6% for ALL American children within a few years.

Although there are any number of environmental toxins that harm children’s neurodevelopment, a preponderance of information from national and international sources pinpoints vaccines as the driving factor behind the autism epidemic.

Two NSW ministers resign from cabinet ahead of expected reshuffle

Two ministers have resigned from the New South Wales cabinet, with one citing the "loss" of former premier Gladys Berejiklian for the decision.

The resignations of Minister for Local Government Shelly Hancock and Minister for the Arts Don Harwin come ahead of a cabinet reshuffle expected before Christmas.

Ms Hancock, who is the Member for South Coast, said family reasons along with the "challenges" around Ms Berejiklian's exit meant she could not commit to another term.

"A significant challenge for me has been the departure of Gladys Berejiklian," Ms Hancock said.

"Gladys's resignation is a loss for New South Wales and a personal loss for me, and something that I have found difficult to move past."

As one of two Liberal women left in cabinet after Ms Berejiklian's departure, Ms Shelley strongly urged the Premier to put women front-and-centre in his new team.

"It is often difficult being the only woman in the room, or one of a handful," she said.

"Therefore it is essential that women make up a larger part of the cabinet to provide our views and perspectives.

"We do after all make up more than 50 per cent of the population!"

Soon after coming to office in October, Mr Perrottet vowed he would focus on increasing the representation of women in parliament and in the ministry.

Earlier this month, at his National Press Club address, Mr Perrotet recognised that the Liberal Party had so far "not done a great job" but rejected the use of quotas.

"We've been lead previously by the first elected female premier of our state, so it's not all bad," Mr Perrottet said.

"But there's more to do, I've committed to increasing female representation in the cabinet, I won't put a figure on it but we'll see an increase".
