Colorado Man, Two Women Arrested on Dozens of Child Sex Abuse Charges that Authorities Were First Told About 17 Years Ago

Decades of alleged child abuse in Colorado — and possibly in many other states — recently resulted in the arrests of three suspects. But according to court records obtained by local journalists, authorities knew about the alleged abuse for well over 15 years.

Allan Richard Long, 51, now faces 41 total counts related to the sexual abuse of children, a press release by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department indicates. According to law enforcement, he has “very specific ties” to City of Colorado Springs. Long stands accused of sexually victimizing at least seven children — including his own children — over the course of at least two decades.

Ginger Delgado, the sheriff’s office’s public information officer, added that the defendant may have committed child sexual abuse crimes in Kansas, Wyoming and Montana — and beyond those states as well — due to his years working as a long haul truck driver. Now, authorities are putting out a call for any additional victims to come forward.

Also arrested were two women. Martha “Loni” Long, 52, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, one count of aggravated incest, and one count of sexual exploitation of a child. Rona Culler, 55, was charged with 10 counts of sexual assault on a child as part of a pattern of abuse, five counts of aggravated incest, and one count of sexual exploitation of a child.

According to court documents obtained by Denver NBC affiliate KUSA, the abuse allegedly began in 2001 and included children between the ages of four and 17. One woman told police she had been molested since she was a child up until she was 21 years old.

Authorities were first told about Long’s alleged abuse all the way back in July 2004 when one of the children told her grandmother she had been “molested” by the defendant. According to the KUSA report, that allegation was relayed to the Wyoming Department of Family Services. No law enforcement follow-up occurred, however, so no law enforcement action was taken.

In July 2007, law enforcement in Colorado explicitly chose not to follow up on other alleged abuse, KUSA noted. The father of one alleged victim reported Long to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, but court documents obtained by the television station note that a detective detective “appeared to take no further action in this case, based on his reports.”

Nearly 50 people catch COVID-19 aboard Royal Caribbean cruise

Four dozen people aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship tested positive for coronavirus when they returned to Miami on Saturday following a seven-day excursion, a report said.

All but one of those infected on the Symphony of the Seas was fully vaccinated, the cruise line said in a statement, and all patients quarantined following the positive results, NBC Miami reported.

“Everyone who tested positive was asymptomatic or had mild symptoms, and we continuously monitored their health,” Royal Caribbean said in a statement to the outlet.

The ship had 6,091 passengers and set sail on Dec. 11. Ninety-five percent of everyone aboard – including guests and crew members – were fully vaccinated.

Royal Caribbean said all crew members are fully vaccinated and the cruise line requires guests over 12 years old to also be fully inoculated.

Unvaccinated children under 12 are required to obtain two negative test results before boarding.

Retired Generals Urge Military to 'War-Game' Against American Citizens

Capitol less than a month away, three retired Army generals called on leaders to take preventive measures, including to “war game” a “post-election insurrection or coup” attempts.

“The potential for a total breakdown of the chain of command along partisan lines – from the top of the chain to squad level – is significant should another insurrection occur,” former Major Gen. Paul Eaton, former Brigadier Gen. Steven Anderson and former Major Gen. Antonio Tagubathe wrote in The Washington Post on Friday in an opinion column raising the disturbing prospect of the U.S. military training for a confrontation against fellow Americans.

The generals went on to write, “The idea of rogue units organizing among themselves to support the ‘rightful’ commander in chief cannot be dismissed.”

Their comments come in light of the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol by a mob mostly made up of supporters of then-President Donald Trump seeking to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election by disrupting the joint session of Congress assembled to count electoral votes that would formalize then-President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

The incursion proved deadly for five people, including Ashli Babbit, 35, who died from a gunshot wound after being shot by a Capitol police officer while trying to climb through a door inside the Capitol near the House chamber.

Given the passions that arose in the contentious aftermath of the 2020 election, and the possibility of similar conditions in 2024, the retired generals warned the military needs to be prepared.

“Imagine competing commanders in chief – a newly re-elected Biden giving orders, versus Trump (or another Trumpian figure) issuing orders as the head of a shadow government,” the former commanders wrote.

It’s a situation that could spiral out of control, the generals warned.

“Worse, imagine politicians at the state and federal levels illegally installing a losing candidate as president.

“… Under such a scenario, it is not outlandish to say a military breakdown could lead to civil war.”

However, the generals suggested such a situation could be avoided.

“The military and lawmakers have been gifted hindsight to prevent another insurrection from happening in 2024 – but they will succeed only if they take decisive action now,” they emphasized.

They recommended a number of steps the military should take, concluding with:

“Finally, the Defense Department should war-game the next potential post-election insurrection or coup attempt to identify weak spots. It must then conduct a top-down debrief of its findings and begin putting in place safeguards to prevent breakdowns not just in the military, but also in any agency that works hand in hand with the military.

“The military and lawmakers have been gifted hindsight to prevent another insurrection from happening in 2024 — but they will succeed only if they take decisive action now.”

A coup or insurrection has largely been unthinkable in America, although the country’s severe political divisions and the disturbing events of Jan. 6 have caused some to rethink that notion.

Cabinet minister threatens to quit and MPs say letters of no-confidence 'will go in' if new Christmas crackdown is introduced – as PM 'clears his diary and considers THREE scenarios up to immediate lockdown to tackle Omicron'

Number of cases has risen by 32,473 (64.4%) in seven days but is lower than yesterday's figure of 90,418

PM Boris Johnson is considering curbs on mixing indoors in England that could be announced within days

Health Secretary Sajid Javid refused to rule out possibility of another lockdown before Christmas Day

Tory MPs said any attempt to toughen rules before Christmas will provoke letters seeking to oust Johnson as party leader

Boris Johnson was under growing pressure last night not to impose lockdown restrictions that will ruin Christmas for the second year in a row, with one Cabinet minister threatening to quit if a new festive crackdown is imposed.

Tory MPs last night said any attempt to toughen rules before Christmas will provoke letters seeking to oust Mr Johnson as party leader.

The Prime Minister is reportedly considering three scenarios to tackle the Omicron variant, including restrictions on mixing indoors in England, a curfew on pubs and restaurants and even an immediate lockdown.

And Health Secretary Sajid Javid yesterday refused to rule out Covid measures coming into force before Christmas Day.

But ministers indicated they will not back new curbs. Rishi Sunak is understood to be arguing that they need to plot a clear route out of restrictions before they are imposed, while Liz Truss says she is 'uncomfortable' with the current curbs.

One Cabinet minister has even gone as far as to say they will resign if the PM introduced another full lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19.

And in a sign of the ever-growing threat of further restrictions, Mr Johnson, who has repeatedly insisted that Christmas Day would not be cancelled, cleared his diary today in order to hold emergency meetings with scientists and his advisers, reports The Mirror.

The warnings from MPs and Cabinet ministers come just 24 hours after Lord Frost, up to now a close ally of Mr Johnson, dramatically quit as Brexit Minister slating 'coercive' Covid curbs and high taxes.

Lord Frost walked out with a parting shot at the 'direction of travel' and saying he had hoped the end of lockdown would be 'irreversible'. His departure was described as a 'watershed moment' in what had been an extremely damaging week for Boris Johnson.

It comes as the official number of confirmed cases of the Omicron variant rose by nearly 50 per cent to 37,000 in just 24 hours.

Families are desperate to spend Christmas together after last year's Covid lockdown rules meant millions were forced to be apart or severely scale back their celebrations.

It is understood Mr Johnson is resisting calls for restrictions ahead of December 25, but there are mounting fears they will be imposed after that, spoiling New Year plans for millions.

Scientists are urging the Prime Minister to bring in restrictions quickly, amid warnings that hospitals will struggle to cope with rising infection numbers.

Mr Javid repeatedly declined to rule out imposing tough restrictions before Christmas as he warned there are 'no guarantees' Christmas Day will go ahead without a lockdown. The Health Secretary acknowledged that data about the Omicron variant remained incomplete – but suggested it might be necessary to make decisions before a full picture is available.

'If you wait until data is absolutely perfect it may well be too late,' he said.

The Health Secretary admitted 'everything is under review' after SAGE delivered a grim assessment that the number of infections could reach two million by the end of the month without tougher restrictions - floating a 'circuit breaker' ban on households mixing and closure of non-essential shops.

Hong Kong legislative polls close amid lower voter turnout

About a third of voters in Hong Kong cast their ballots in the first election since Beijing amended the laws to reduce the number of directly elected lawmakers and vet candidates to ensure that only those loyal to China can run.

Key points:

It was the lowest turnout in Hong Kong's election history since its return to China in 1997

Hong Kong's leader Carrie Lam has described the legislative elections as "open" and "fair"

The city's largest opposition party did not field candidates in the election

The semi-autonomous territory was rocked by pro-democracy protests in 2014 and 2019 that were crushed by the security forces, followed by the imposition of a sweeping national security law that silenced most of the city's opposition activists and led others to flee abroad.

Barnabus Fung, the head of Hong Kong's Electoral Affairs Commission, announced that turnout for the Legislative Council vote was "about 30.2 per cent".

It marked the lowest turnout in Hong Kong's election history since its return to China in 1997.

The turnout for this year's elections was vastly lower than polls in 2012 and 2016, when over 50 per cent of registered voters cast their ballots.

One voter, Warton Leung, said that the lack of choice in candidates dampened enthusiasm for voting.

"Although there is a chance to vote for pro-establishment and democracy candidates, there are few democratic choices, so Hong Kong people do not feel enthusiastic when it comes to voting," he said.

Others, such as Yu Wai-kwan, saw the election as a chance to vote for a better Hong Kong.

"I am voting to choose a new bunch of people to make Hong Kong a better place," Yu said.

"I am a patriot, and I just hope for peace and quiet, and to have a good livelihood."

Election claimed to be 'open, fair and honest'

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam visited a polling station Sunday morning and said she had "no particular expectation" about the turnout.

Ghislaine Maxwell 'took three girls to target men at a London party in year 2000 after a film premiere attended by Prince Charles'

The alleged madam is seen surrounded by three girls in the unearthed photo

A broker in the image said the girls could have been in their 'late teens'

He believed they may have been escorts and were targeting wealthy men

There is no suggestion Prince Charles was aware of their presence at the party

Ghislaine Maxwell took three young women to target men at a party in 2000 after a film premiere attended by Prince Charles, it has been claimed.

The child sex trafficking suspect, 59, is seen in a newly-emerged photograph sipping a drink while the three girls surround a City broker and his friend.

The image, obtained by The Sun on Sunday, was taken in the Red Cube nightclub in London on November 22, 2000, during an after party for the Charlie's Angels screening.

On the same night, next door at the Odeon Leicester Square, Prince Charles attended the premiere where he was seen arm in arm with its stars Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.

There is no suggestion the Prince of Wales was aware of Maxwell's presence with the young girls.

But the photo raises fresh concerns about how close she and billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to royal circles, with their links to Prince Andrew already under scrutiny.

Verdict in Ghislaine Maxwell Trial “Highly Likely” by Wednesday – Source: Maxwell Threatening to Start “Naming Names”

Almost three years after Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious death while in jail for his arrest on child sex-trafficking charges, the federal criminal trial of Ghislaine Maxwell – his confidante and apparent partner who would help him find, groom, and abuse young girls – should be coming to an end this week, with each side set to present their closing arguments on Monday.

Due to the Manhattan court’s planned Christmas break that begins on Thursday, Jury deliberations are expected to be quick, with a high likelihood that a verdict will be reached by Wednesday in order to resolve the case and avoid the delay.

A legal source connected with the case claims that if Maxwell is found guilty of her charges, she plans to “start naming names” in order to try and secure a lesser sentence.

She has been charged with six felony counts related to child sex trafficking and faces a maximum of 70 years and potential suicide in a jail cell if convicted.

Up until now, Maxwell has remained silent and denied all involvement in Epstein’s sick crimes. Has the prospect of finally facing the music and seeing accountability finally enabled her to tell the truth? Or is this a veiled “I go down, you’re coming with me” threat towards the incredibly powerful elites who ran in Epstein’s circle?

It will be very curious to see what the jury decides.

From the Daily Mail:

“Maxwell, 59, denies all six charges linked to grooming underage girls for abuse by the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. However, the source said if she is convicted – and facing up to 70 years in prison – she might co-operate with the US Government in exchange for a reduced sentence or better jail conditions.

This could be bad news for Prince Andrew and other high-profile men who hung out with Ghislaine and Jeffrey Epstein,’ the source said.

‘It is possible she will begin to co-operate and tell what she knows in an attempt to lessen her jail term. We know that prosecutors are looking at other co-conspirators in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex ring.

Ghislaine undoubtedly possesses information which could assist prosecutors in other cases. If she decides to co-operate, her testimony could be devastating. She was Epstein’s right-hand woman for years, imagine what she knows?’

The evidence that has been presented at trial against Maxwell throughout the past three weeks has seemingly been damning for her innocence – and that’s even without the supposedly “missing” evidence that was collected by the FBI out of a safe in Epstein’s New York home.

German Health Minister Lauterbach Calls for Mandatory Vaccination of the Population ASAP

German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach is calling for mandatory vaccinations of the population as soon as possible.

Lauterbach is pushing for a massive booster campaign in the country to get the omicron variant under control.

Apparently, the first two shots did not work. Third time is a charm.

Der Spiegel reported:

Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach ( SPD ) fears that the number of infections will rise sharply due to the new Omikron virus variant. “I assume a massive fifth wave,” said Lauterbach when visiting a vaccination center in Hanover.

“We have to assume that the wave of omicrons that we are facing, which in my opinion we cannot prevent, will be a massive challenge for our hospitals, for our intensive care units, but also for society as a whole.”

Omikron could not be “got under control” with a double vaccination alone, emphasized Lauterbach. “We mustn’t be lulled into a false sense of security.” That is why a “massive booster campaign” is needed with the aim of “boosting several million people a week”. In the coming days he will try “by all means” to get vaccine.

==Outgoing NIH director dismisses Wuhan lab-leak theory as a ‘distraction’ on last day in office

New polls finds 72% of Americans believe COVID-19 originated in Wuhan lab==

Outgoing National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins told Fox News on Sunday that he's "sorry" the Wuhan lab-leak theory has become such a "huge distraction" for the country, despite there being "no evidence" to support it.

Collins joined "Fox News Sunday" on his last day in office after more than a decade in the agency's top position. The geneticist and physician tapped by President Barack Obama to lead the NIH in 2009 dodged questions about his efforts to discredit the lab-leak theory at the onset of the pandemic, maintaining the most plausible explanation is that the virus spread through animal-to-human transmission.

"I’m really sorry that the lab leak has become such a distraction for so many people because frankly, we still don’t know," Collins told host Bret Baier.

"There is no evidence really to say. Most of the scientific community, myself included, think that is a possibility, but far more likely, this was a natural way in which a virus left a bat, maybe traveled through some other species and got to humans."

Lou Barletta: Like DeSantis, I’ll Bus Illegal Aliens Out of Pennsylvania to Biden’s Delaware

Former Rep. Lou Barletta (R), now running for governor of Pennsylvania, says he too will consider plans to bus illegal aliens out of the state to President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware.

Barletta, once the mayor of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, told Breitbart News Saturday that he will take similar action to that of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in Florida, who last week announced six proposals and an emergency order to take on companies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) aiding in illegal immigration.

“We’re not going to be accepting illegal aliens from the border,” Barletta said.

“They’re shutting down businesses, making you take a vaccine that you don’t want, putting masks on your kids all day long, and yet they’re letting people come in from the border and shipping them to Pennsylvania and other states with no idea with what their health conditions are,” Barletta continued. “That all comes to an end [when I’m governor].”

DeSantis’s order bans the issuance or renewal of all state licenses to Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) facilities that provide services to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) who are resettled by the federal government across states.

In addition, DeSantis’s legislative agenda includes plans to financially cripple NGOs that facilitate the process of UAC resettlement. DeSantis has said he wants $8 million to transport illegal aliens from Florida to Biden’s Delaware and Martha’s Vineyard, where former President Obama resides.

Barletta said his state’s proximity to Delaware will make the transportation of illegal aliens out of Pennsylvania even more cost-effective than it is for Florida.

“Gov. DeSantis is doing a great job in Florida … yes, I would take the same steps that Gov. DeSantis did,” Barletta said.

“Pennsylvania is a lot closer to Delaware, so busing those folks to Delaware will cost us a lot less than it’s costing [DeSantis] to ship people from Florida … it’s not a long ride from Philadelphia to Wilmington,” Barletta continued. “That’s exactly what we have to do.”

Since October 2020, the federal government has resettled more than 2,300 UACs across the state of Pennsylvania. In October, alone, the Biden administration sent nearly 240 UACs to Pennsylvania.

Chicago's Ex-City Attorney Brands Mayor Lori Lightfoot A 'Disaster' After $2.9 Million Settlement Over Botched Police Raid

The former head city attorney for Chicago slammed Mayor Lori Lightfoot in a new op-ed, branding her tenure a "disaster" after the City Council voted on Wednesday to pay $2.9 million to a woman who was handcuffed by police while naked during a botched 2019 raid on her home, according to Fox News.

Mark Flessner, the former head city attorney, resigned after the Law Department attempted to conceal video of the raid on the wrong address.

The vote to pay the woman, Anjanette Young, came two days after a council committee advised that the city accept the settlement after Young's attorney agreed to the figure.

Lightfoot used the settlement at the taxpayer's expense to "jump-start her reelection campaign," Mark Flessner, who resigned after the Law Department attempted to withhold video of the raid on the wrong address, wrote in a recent op-ed for the Chicago Tribune.

Flessner outlined how officers executed a search warrant at the wrong address and Young was forced to stand for six seconds uncovered and then another 10 minutes handcuffed and covered with a blanket while officers secured the home. Recognizing the embarrassment Young must have felt and that she should have been compensated, Flessner said the settlement should have been far less, around $50,000. -Fox News

According to Flessner, Lightfoot "has made a deal with the national civil rights movement to raise money for her reelection … In exchange for national civil rights leaders donating millions of dollars to her campaign, she will do their bidding, like she did in the Young case. Chicago will be poorer for it."

"The mayor publicly criticizes those who work for her and provides little to no guidance. She belittles the City Council, the police and fire departments, and the teachers," Flessner added. "She has no professional respect for any of the hardworking, dedicated public servants who make this city run day to day. That is why her tenure has been a disaster."

In response, Lightfoot said at a Wednesday press conference that she asked for Flessner's resignation because she had "utterly lost confidence in his ability to function as the corporation counsel" and had acted to stop a media outlet from publishing the footage without her go-ahead. "Fundamentally, what was clear, is he just didn’t see [Young]," Lightfoot said. "He didn’t value her experience in that moment, as we all saw in that video," she said.
