“An update to the Department of the Air Force writing guide, The Tongue and Quill, now promotes greater respect for and recognition of an individual’s identity by

allowing Airmen and Guardians to include pronouns in the signature block.

Led by the LGBTQA Initiatives Team (LIT), a part of the Department of the Air Force Barrier Analysis Working Group (DAFBAWG), this change is one of the latest initiatives the DAF undertook to address barriers to service and promote a more inclusive culture.”
