I don't think that's quite correct. I think he had hip surgery and was on pain meds and somehow got hold of fentanyl. I believe by mistake
according to his wife, he had fractured hip (I could be wrong about hip surgery), knee problems and other medical issues. He was prescribed pain meds, but accidentally (or not) overdosed.
