Here's something I'd never really thought about. If you read European history, the last thousand or so years have been dominated by the papacy, mainly because the, "royals," derived their, "legitimacy," from it. So that begs the question. With all the wealth and political clout that it has, has the Vatican determined who our leaders are as they have done in the past in Europe? Something to think about.
Yeah, he goes to the Vatican, to go, "legit." The question is, is it REALLY legit, or does it provide the cover of SEEMING legit, as opposed to optically being viewed as criminal activity? There is obvious criminal activity, and criminal activity that has great cover and optics, so it LOOKS legit even though it isn't.
Revelation 17:16

We may be at this point. The ten kings are working to make her naked and desolate. If so, it's gonna be a bumpy ride. Hang on to your faith in God and His son.
No such thing as a Palestinian. Palestine was renamed to Palestine from Judea, when the Romans got tired of them revolting yet again. Why Palestine? They were kicking sand in the Jews eyes by naming it after one of their ancient enemies, the Philistines. Adding insult to injury, so to speak.
Whatever, a rose by any other name.
Some WILL be saved during that time, but they are gonna have to put their lives on the line at that point. Grace is one thing, being martyred is another.
Zechariah 12:10

They WILL figure it out eventually, but until then, they are gonna play the fool, they were blinded for our sakes, but they won't always be blind.
Seems to me that the whole gluten thing didn't show up until they started with the genetic modifying of things.
