You can argue about words and their meanings or implications, I am only saying that it is more likely that such an important mathematical number in the realm of time, more likely refers to and/or is borne out of a measure of time and not literal people. The world is cyclical. It's cycles are measurable. The 7th day. The 40 days. The 12 tribes. The 40 years. The 144,000. Times and number.
