Who Are the Historians Trying to Shape the Narrative?
On 1-7-2022, CNN reported that 2 historians are concerned about rising authoritarianism. Doris Kearns Goodwin (WH historian during LBJ Administration) and Timothy Snyder (expert on Central and Eastern Europe) spoke to the reporter to explain their concerns. Hint - Trump and his supporters = bad and Jan. 6 was real bad. Who are these historians? Are they objective voices? Are they part of the narrative? Do they have a dog in the race, so to speak? Anons can form their own opinions.

Anon wants to know more about why these 2 historians are invested in discrediting President Trump and his supporters. They need serious diggs. How involved was Doris Kearns Goodwin in anti-Vietnam war activities? What does she know about the Kennedy assassination? What did Richard Goodwin (Doris' husband) know about the Kennedy assassination? How does the Ukraine and Central and Eastern Europe fit into the narrative of discrediting Trump and his supporters?
Doris Kearns Goodwin was a historian in the White House during theJohnson(LBJ) Administration. She even helped LBJ write his memoirs, which is odd because of her active opposition to the Vietnam war and her call for the removal of LBJ. Her husband was an aide and speechwriter in both the Kennedy and LBJ White House. To quote a May 21, 2018 Legacy.com piece, "NEW YORK (AP) — Richard N. Goodwin, an aide, speechwriter and liberal force for the Kennedys and Lyndon Johnson who helped craft such historic addresses as Robert Kennedy’s 'ripples of hope' and LBJ’s speeches on civil rights and 'The Great Society,'…". Anon can only wonder about the insights this couple must have had at a critical time in our nation's history.
