January 6 Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson on Sunday said the panel has spoken to former Attorney General Bill Barr.

Politico on Friday published a draft executive order that “would have directed the defense secretary to seize voting machines and a document titled “Remarks on National Healing.””

CBS’s Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan asked Bennie Thompson about the draft executive order published by Politico.

“There was also another story, significant — Politico published the text of a draft executive order that had been presented to President Trump in December of 2020 to have the Defense Secretary seize voting machines in battleground states and multiple news organizations have now reported this. Do you intend to go to the Attorney General, Bill Barr, to ask him about this? I mean, how do you follow up on this kind of allegation and the paperwork to back it up?” Margaret Brennan asked Bennie Thompson.

“Well yes, we do. To be honest with you, we’ve had conversations with the former Attorney General already. We have talked to Department of Defense individuals. Uh, we are concerned, uh, that our military was part of this big lie on promoting that the election was false. So if you are using the military to potentially seize voting machines even though it’s a discussion, the public needs to know. We’ve never had that before and so any of these individuals who are participating and trying to stop the election — the duly election of a president, and if we can document it, we will share it with the public,” Bennie Thompson said.

Margaret Brennan asked Bennie Thompson if there was actually an operation plan beyond the draft executive order.

Rep. Thompson said there was no operational plan, but the “draft itself” is reason enough to investigate and continue to harass Bill Barr.

“Will the former attorney general, Bill Barr, testify to you? Will you seek out other members of the military to clarify some of what you just laid out here?” Margaret Brennan asked.

Thompson said the J-6 Committee has plans to hold public hearings and some people may be brought in to give depositions under oath.

A bill working its way through the New Hampshire legislature would allow residents to receive ivermectin from pharmacies with a prescription of a doctor or an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) for the off-label treatment of Covid-19

House Bill 2011 would allow pharmacists to "dispense ivermectin under the delegated prescriptive authority of the physician or APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurses), specify a mechanism to document screening performed and the prescription in the patient's medical record, and include a plan for evaluating and treating adverse events," reads the bill. "Any such prescription shall be regarded as being issued for a legitimate medical purpose in the usual course of professional practice."

Hunter Biden, former Joe Biden adviser invested in Chinese company with ties to Communist Party, NBA China: Leaked emails

A new report claimed that Hunter Biden and a former aide to Joe Biden invested in a Chinese company with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

In 2009, U.S. investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners was founded by Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden; Christopher Heinz, stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry; and Devon Archer, an American businessman who was classmates with Heinz at Yale University.

According to emails reviewed by Fox Business, Rosemont Seneca Partners held a 5% investment stake in Harves Amusement Parks and ownership in Harves Sports and Entertainment as recently as March 2017. A purported email exposing the ownership interests of Rosemont Seneca Advisors was allegedly sent to Hunter by Eric Schwerin — Hunter Biden's longtime business partner.

The report alleged that Hunter's original introduction to the Harves Group arrived in 2015 by Francis Person, who served as an adviser to then-Vice President Biden from 2009 to 2014 and was a "special assistant" to Biden when he was a senator.

In July 2014, Person stopped working with then-Vice President Joe Biden. In January 2015, Person became the president of the Harves Group. By May 2018, Person became the co-founder of Harves Global Entertainment.

Person reportedly wrote an email to Hunter in July 2015, which invited him to travel to China the following month to meet his business partner — Bo Zhang.

"Bo Zhang and his family would host us. They are a great family with great respect and relationships in China," Person allegedly wrote to Hunter in an email. "Bo graduated from American Univ and is in his late 20’s, and his parents own Harves Century Group of Shenyang - which is a top tier private Chinese real estate development firm."

According to the purported email, Person highlighted that Zhang was being "groomed to take over the family's dynasty" and that "there will be plenty of big things that come down the road that we can work on."

"His mom is actually the Chairman of the company, which is unique in China," the alleged email said. "They are very private, and wouldn’t tell anyone about you coming. Bo's father-in-law is actually the Governor of Hainan (Chinese Hawaii), which he doesn’t advertise at all."

Bo's father-in-law is Liu Cigui — who since 2012 has been a member of the CCP Central Committee — the party’s "highest organ of authority," according to China Vitae. Between 2012 and 2017, Cigui was a member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, which is "a secretive, powerful agency in charge of investigating the Communist Party’s own members for corruption," and was "the main weapon in Xi Jinping’s rapid consolidation of power as China’s new leader," according to the Washington Post.

Disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti heads to trial, accused of swindling Stormy Daniels

Michael Avenatti, the disgraced celebrity lawyer and fierce Donald Trump critic, is scheduled to go on trial Monday in Manhattan for allegedly swindling ex-porn star Stormy Daniels out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Avenatti is accused of fleecing Daniels – his former client – of about $300,000 in money she stood to collect for a 2018 advance on a book about her alleged affair with Trump.

He faces one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft, according to a federal indictment.

In August of 2018, the loudmouth lawyer forged Daniels’ signature on a letter that instructed her literary agent to forward advance money into a bank account he controlled, federal prosecutors allege.

Avenatti used the cash on day-to-day expenses, such as covering payroll for his law firm and a coffee company he owned, federal authorities allege.

He also spent the money on his luxury lifestyle, including a $3,900 monthly lease payment on a Ferrari and more than $20,000 on airfare, hotels, car services, restaurants and other expenses, the feds allege.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is expected to be called by prosecutors to testify against Avenatti at the trial, a spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said.

Opening statements are scheduled for Monday morning, but it’s unclear when Daniels will testify.

In a statement, Avenatti denied the charges against him.

“I am completely innocent of these charges. The government is spending millions of dollars to prosecute me for a case that should have never been filed,” he said.

venatti and Daniels rose to national fame after it was revealed Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, paid her $130,000 in hush money soon before the 2016 presidential election to keep the lid on her alleged affair with Trump.

Trump denies ever having sex with Daniels.

Avenatti built a reputation in the national media as a Trump antagonist as he represented Daniels, including in a civil suit against the former president. The 2018 suit sought to drop a nondisclosure agreement that Daniels argued was invalid because Trump never signed the document.

“The epidemic prevention is severe and complicated,” Xu Hejian, the spokesperson of the Beijing government, said at Sunday’s press briefing. Xu added that officials must take “the most resolute, decisive, and strict” measures to contain the outbreak.

The authorities said people who live in areas deemed “at risk” are not allowed to leave the city.

Some kindergartens in Fengtai district told parents that unvaccinated children are not allowed to attend, citing new government regulations, according to Reuters.

China started to vaccinate children from the age of 3 years old since last October. Authorities have said the vaccination is voluntary.

Parents across Victoria and New South Wales lash out at twice-weekly rapid antigen testing rules for school children

Distressed parents have lashed out at the NSW and Victorian government's back-to-school plan, which includes twice-weekly rapid antigen tests and mask mandates across the state.

The twice-weekly rapid antigen tests (RATs) as part of the NSW and Victorian government's back-to-school plan has parents outraged over the COVID-smart plan.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet and Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews on Sunday announced its back-to-school plan which includes providing millions of rapid antigen tests and implementing mask mandates for all staff and high school students across the state.

All staff, primary and high school students will be provided RAT kits for use twice a week to ensure they are COVID-free before returning for Term 1.

But some parents have labelled the governments' plan as "traumatising" for their children, suggesting it will cause "mental health issues" and "create anxieties".

"I will NOT be testing my children. Do with that what you will. Not happening," one person commented on the NSW Health Facebook page.

"There is no way I am routinely testing my kids. Are you trying to traumatise them? This will cause mental health issues!" another distressed mother wrote.

"You clearly don't understand small children. We cannot test them twice a week without traumatising them."

"I worry that all these masks and RAT are going to create anxieties. I am also a teacher and the stress we felt last year wasn't good for the children in our classes," one person tweeted.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said surveillance testing will be undertaken for the first four weeks of the term, with two weeks of supply distributed before the term starts.

In addition to this, there will be mandatory mask requirements for all staff and high school students.

"We want to ensure here in New South Wales that closing schools is the last resort and we are incredibly confident," Mr Perrottet said.

"We all know that kids do better at school, not just from an educational perspective, but from a mental health and social outcome perspective.

"It is where our kids learn the best, and where opportunity is created. Importantly, we want our kids back in the classroom in a safe way. And that is exactly the plan."

Florida man admits to threatening to behead Nancy Pelosi and AOC

Miami, Florida – 60-year-old Paul Vernon Hoeffer on Friday pled guilty in federal court to making threatening phone calls to two members of Congress and a district attorney.

As part of the plea, Hoeffer admitted that in March 2019, he called Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s office in Washington, D.C. and threatened to come a “long, long, way” to rattle her head with bullets and cut her head off. Pastor Curtis Keith Bankston, 55, and his wife Sophia Simm-Bankston, 56, of Griffin, were arrested for false imprisonment after authorities found eight people who were suffering from a mental or physical disability between the ages of 25 and 65 inside the basement of their home.

Curtis has disputed the claims that One Step of Faith 2nd Chance - their unlicensed group home - was holding people against their wills and 'they were free to come and go as they please.'

Authorities said 'the 'caretakers' have been leasing this property for approximately 14 months, using the basement as a personal care home for the individuals, which essentially imprisoned them against their will.'

Police in Griffin, located about 40 miles south of Atlanta, reported that they found a deadbolt on the basement door that was used to lock the patients in during certain parts of the day.

New York Governor Blames ‘Illegal Gun’ in Fatal Shooting of NYPD Officer

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) blamed an “illegal gun” in the fatal shooting of NYPD officer Jason Rivera on Friday night.

Rivera, 22, was shot and killed and a second officer, Wilbert More, 27, was shot and wounded, Breitbart News reported.

The shooting suspect, Lashawn McNeil, 47, opened fire on Rivera and More as they approached him in a long hallway, CBS New York noted. McNeill was then shot twice by a third officer.

On Saturday, Hochul tweeted, “Last night, a shot from an illegal gun took the life of a NYPD officer.”

“When I say we’re going to do everything we can to stop the scourge of illegal guns in our state, it’s not just talk. We are tripling funding for efforts to get these guns off the streets,” Hochul added.

New York Mayor Eric Adams (D) responded to the shooting death of Rivera by calling for more gun control, Breitbart News reported.

New York has some of the most stringent gun controls in the country. Mike Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety ranks New York No. 3 in the nation “for gun law strength.”

Those laws include everything the Democrats are pushing at the federal level under the guise of safety, including universal background checks, a “high capacity” magazine ban, an “assault weapons” ban, a permit requirement to buy a handgun, a red flag law, gun storage requirements, “ghost gun” regulations, and a prohibition against gun possession by felons, among other controls.

Top-ranked Merrill Lynch wealth manager arrested after throwing drink at teen smoothie shop employees, cops say

A Connecticut man is accused of going on a xenophobic tirade at a smoothie shop. The wealth manager was arrested for throwing a drink at one of the employees at the smoothie shop in Fairfield, according to police.

James Iannazzo, 48, of Fairfield, reportedly went to the Robeks smoothie store in Fairfield on Friday afternoon. Approximately 30 minutes after leaving the food establishment, he called 911 to request emergency medical services for his son, who was suffering from an allergic reaction. The child was transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.

Iannazzo returned to the Robeks location roughly an hour after his original visit that afternoon. A visibly agitated Iannazzo is seen on video verbally abusing the four teen workers at Robeks. Iannazzo demands to know who made his smoothie from over an hour ago, but the employees are not sure who made that specific smoothie.

Iannazzo lashes out at the teens with foul language, "Fing, stupid fing ignorant high school kids.”

After being instructed to leave by one of the employees, the man growls, "I want to speak to the f***ing manager."

An employee advises the disgruntled man to contact the corporate office to file a complaint, to which Iannazzo says, "Get the f out of here, you fing b****!"

While the teen girls turn their heads away from Iannazzo, he hurls a drink at the employees, hitting one girl in the shoulder.

Iannazzo unleashes a string of profanities against the girl he hit with the drink.

The irate man asks for a phone number for the corporate office, but the employee repeatedly tells him to leave the establishment.

Iannazzo yells back, "Shut the f up! Stupid fing idiot. You’re a fing idiot. I want the fing number. Shut up."

Iannazzo then says, "You’re f***ing immigrant loser."

The man attempts to then access the "employees only" area, but one of the girls is pushing back and he can't open the door.

According to Heavy, TikTok user @cjjbreezy uploaded the original video with a caption: "There was one girl, she was 16. Literally, it was like her second day. She was in the back, already called the police."
