Amazon stocks all the merchandise in several locations, at least if you write a book (and are a normie) you will need to provide the inventory and they will pay you as the merchandise is sold. Thus, the very large warehouses.
Basically, Amazon sits on stock they do not own. Eventually they will make you item and then sells it under the name Amazon. Like giving your secrets to Amazon and Amazon steal them and sells them itself. Just like HRC patents lawyers stealing patents and selling for her own pocketbook.
I figured this out by trying to avoid buying from Amazon and finding the items I want are now Amazon brands.
