In the wake of the suspicious Christmas morning bombing of an AT&T network sites located about a block away from the telecom giant’s regional offices in downtown Nashville, both the perpetrators and their motives remain unknown.

Regardless of what comes to pass, there is a link between AT&T, Dominion Voting Systems, and the Chinese Communist Party that is worth taking a closer look at. This possible connection centers on AT&T Chairman William E. Kennard.

Kennard, who also sits on the Board of Directors for Ford Motor Company, MetLife, Duke Energy, and Staple Street Capital, the private equity firm that is the sole owner of Dominion Voting Systems, was appointed Chairman of AT&T’s Board of Directors on Nov. 6, three days after the presidential election.

The Chairman was general counsel for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from 1993 to 1997 and was promoted to FCC Chairman in 1997 under Bill Clinton. He held the position until January of 2001.

After leaving the FCC, Kennard joined The Carlyle Group, another private equity firm, in May of 2001, serving as the group’s Executive Director. In a 2001 article by The Guardian, former President George H.W. Bush gave “speeches for the company and is paid with stakes in the firm’s investments, believed to be worth at least $80,000 per appearance.”

In 1993, billionaire George Soros invested $100 million in Carlyle Group according to an article by the Washington Post.

During the Obama administration, Kennard, who also holds a seat on the Board of Trustees at Yale where he earned his law degree, was appointed U.S. Ambassador to the European Union in 2009. He served in the role until 2013.

Kennard has served on the AT&T Board of Directors since 2014.

Staple Street Capital and Communist China

Two co-founders of Staple Street Capital, Stephen Owens and Hootan Yaghoobzadeh, also worked at Carlyle Group. Owens worked at Carlyle until 2009 when he formed Staple Street, while Yaghoobzadeh left Carlyle in 2003 and served as Cerebus Capital Management’s Vice President until Staple Street was founded.

Staple Street Capital acquired Dominion Voting Systems in 2008 for an undisclosed sum. The deal was arranged by UBS Securities LLC, which ultimately falls under the UBS Group of companies.

Three of the four members on the Bloomberg profile page for UBS Securities LLC were Chinese nationals as of Dec. 4, according to The Epoch Times. The profile has since changed to reflect no Chinese names, while Staple Street’s webpage was reduced to a simple landing page with only two links.

One of the Chinese names previously found in the profile was Ye Xiang, founder of VisionGain Capital who was Secretary for Foreign Financial Institutions for the People’s Bank of China (PBoC).

In 2014, UBS Securities LLP arranged a private placement of $200 million for Staple Street Capital II, L.P.

Staple Street Capital III, L.P. then formed in 2020 and obtained $400 million from UBS Securities LLP on Oct. 8.

UBS Securities Co. is a company that falls under the UBS Group umbrella. UBS Securities Co. is headquartered in Beijing and was founded in 2006 by CCP state enterprises after Beijing Securities flopped. UBS Group and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) bought 24.99 percent of UBS Securities Co. in 2007. UBS Group was limited to an investment size under 25 percent in order to flout Communist Party rules on foreign investment. A year later, UBS Group acquired IFC’s portion of the investment.

The remaining 75 percent was owned by a various Chinese enterprises.

The pastor of the mega church, who is facing allegations he concealed his father’s child sexual abuse, gave his worshippers some surprise news.

Hillsong founder Brian Houston dropped a bombshell on his worshippers announcing he was stepping aside from all church activities while he defends allegations he concealed his father’s child sexual abuse.

The pastor for the powerful evangelical church was charged in October last year with one count of concealing the serious indictable offence of another person.

Police allege Mr Houston knew from September 1999 that his father Frank Houston had indecently assaulted a male in 1970.

But on Sunday, Mr Houston told the church’s congregation that the criminal charge came as a “complete shock” and he intends to “vigorously defend” it but this meant some changes.

He revealed to his followers his decision to immediately step down from his current duties as part of the church leadership.

“In December during our annual board retreat, Hillsong’s external legal counsel gave the board advice regarding the current charge I’m facing and that it would be best practice for me to step aside completely from church leadership during the court proceedings,” he told the congregation on Sunday morning.

“So its likely to be drawn out and take up most of 2022, especially considering the backlog in courts exacerbated by the Covid pandemic. And along with this the board and I have been having detailed discussions around requirements for leadership and we’ve talked about the effects of the situation with my father, going back many years up to the current legal case, and the impact that this has had on me emotionally.

“So the result is Hillsong’s global board feel it’s in my and the church’s best interest for this to happen, so I’ve agreed to step aside from all ministry responsibilities until the end of the year.”

On July 16, 2018 Dominion Voting Systems (“Dominion Voting”) announced that was acquired Staple Street Capital, a private equity firm. The firm was founded in 2009 by Stephen D. Owens and Hootan Yaghoobzadeh, who are also involved ay Cerberus Capital Management, and board members of Dominion Voting Systems. Staple Street also recently acquired Ivy Technology and CyberLink.

Staple Street has not filed an SEC form D since 2015 for $200 million capital raise, yet in October 2020 they raised $800 million? Also 10/27 another Fund incorporation pending in Delaware, yet it is interesting to note that the Staple Street website is suddenly shut down.

William E. Kennard is an Executive Board Member of Staple Street Capital, and also worked for The Carlyle Group. He was nominated by Obama to be ambassador to the EU in 2009 andwas a member of Secretary of State John Kerry’s Foreign Affairs Policy Board. Kennard was behind Obama’s negotiations with Transatlantic Trade. He appointed by Bill Clinton to be chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in 1997. He was also managing director of the Carlyle Group from 2001 to 2009.

In June of 2018, The Intercept published an article titled The Wiretap Rooms — The NSA’s Hidden Spy Hubs in Eight U.S. Cities breaking down a series of National Security Agency classified documents obtained from Edward Snowden alleging that AT&T was essentially passing all Internet traffic that flowed through the U.S. to the NSA for monitoring.

In 2016, The Daily Beast alleged that AT&T sold data to law enforcement through “Project Hemisphere.”

The Intercept’s article said: “The NSA considers AT&T to be one of its most trusted partners and has lauded the company’s ‘extreme willingness to help.’ It is a collaboration that dates back decades. Little known, however, is that its scope is not restricted to AT&T’s customers,” noting that AT&T uses its enormous market share to route traffic from other providers in America and around the world through its high-speed infrastructure.

Lead designer Hossein Eslambolchi said that he had to take a polygraph and obtain a government security clearance when he worked on the project.

In essence, all data that runs through AT&T’s enormous network, whether it originates in the U.S. or internationally, including traffic sent from one international entity to another, but which is routed through AT&T for any reason, is provided to the NSA according to Snowden’s cache.

NSA agents then use different tools “to search through the full contents of emails, instant messenger chats, web-browsing histories, webcam photos, information about downloads from online services, and Skype sessions.”

“The root of the issue was that the NSA’s technology was not only targeting communications sent to and from specific surveillance targets. Instead, the agency was sweeping up people’s emails if they had merely mentioned particular information about surveillance targets,” said the article.

In no uncertain terms, Snowden brought the revelation that AT&T had helped the NSA to eavesdrop on the entire world.

A tangled web

Chevron posts $5.1 billion for fourth quarter, its best earnings in nearly 10 years

Oil company Chevron this week posted strong gains for the fourth quarter of 2021, its best-earning quarter in nearly a decade as the company vows to continue pursuing green energy technologies.

The company said in a press release that it had earned $5.1 billion in the last three months of 2021, a figure which brought its full-year earnings to just over $15 billion. The quarterly figure is the highest the company has posted since 2008.

Company Chairman and CEO Mike Wirth in the press release touted what he said was the company’s commitment to lower-carbon green energies.

“In 2021, we delivered record free cash flow and accelerated our progress towards a lower carbon future,” Wirth said.

“We’re an even better company than we were just a few years ago,” he continued. “We’re more capital and cost efficient, enabling us to return more cash to shareholders.”

The high profits were driven in large part by surging oil prices: Costs of oil have jumped significantly since the start of the COVID pandemic in early 2020, standing at around $80 a barrel at the beginning of 2022.

Thousands of truck drivers from Argentina were stuck at the Chilean border on Saturday due to slow COVID-19 testing, as Chile faced its second transport delay crisis.

Since Jan. 21, more than 3,000 trucks have been stranded at the customs checkpoint of Cristo Redentor in Mendoza, according to the Argentinean Federation of Business Entities for Cargo Transport (FADEEAC).

The long wait has put both drivers and some of the trucks to the test, as trucks with refrigerator units must stay running at all times to keep the cargos at cold temperatures.

"This is becoming a real problem," said Brazilian truck driver Junior Cesar, whose truck is parked in Uspallata, Argentina, near the Chilean border. "The engines are running day and night and they’re starting to fail and affect the cargo."

Frustrated drivers waited by their trucks, cooking and sharing whatever food they could buy. They showered using buckets of water or a bathroom nearby that charges 300 Argentine pesos ($3) per use.

"I’ve been here for two weeks," said Ruben Soza, a truck driver from Mendoza. "I have a refrigeration unit as you can see, with garlic, and the gasoline is not enough to run the refrigeration unit."

A similar problem has occurred at Chile's northern border in the Tambo Quemado mountain pass, where drivers from Bolivia too face long waits in line for COVID-19 testing.

The FADEEAC has asked Argentina’s foreign ministry to intervene and try to prevent further delays and minimize the economic losses, which according to FADEEAC estimates add up to $700 a day.

On Friday, Chile’s health ministry reported 26,727 new COVID-19 cases. Argentina reported 63,884.

Chuck Schumer's Brother Tied To Comcast Deal He Supports (UPDATE)

Charles Schumer (N.Y.), a top Senate Democrat and member of the body's antitrust subcommittee, appeared to give his blessing to Comcast's purchase of Time Warner Cable, but did not mention that his brother was involved in the mega-deal. The news was first reported by the website LittleSis.

Schumer's office said on Monday night that the senator was not aware of his brother's involvement, and "will recuse himself from Congressional consideration of the matter to avoid any appearance of bias."

In a statement on Thursday, Schumer's office said he is "pleased with the news" that Comcast has committed to preserving Time Warner Cable call center jobs in Buffalo.

Schumer's brother, Robert Schumer, was named "Dealmaker of the Week" by The American Lawyer on Friday for his work on on the agreement. He is a partner at the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

Charles Schumer received more campaign contributions from Time Warner Cable than any other member of Congress during the 2010 election cycle, the most recent time he was up for reelection, according to the website OpenSecrets.

Before the deal between the two behemoths can proceed, federal regulators must approve the takeover. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), the chair of the Senate Antitrust Subcommittee, has vowed to hold hearings on the merger. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), another member of the committee, has said that the massive merger is "the wrong direction" and issued a letter calling for close regulatory scrutiny. Schumer, who sits on this committee as well, did not sound any such warnings in his statement.

Last week, Schumer said, "It seems like the Time Warner Cable acquisition will be a good deal for New York," according to the New York Daily News.

The Comcast takeover of Time Warner Cable would result in a company with about 30 million subscribers. There has been much concern over how the deal would affect Internet and cable services, including some experts saying it could quash competition and result in higher prices.

The Obama administration has close ties to Comcast, and the company is employing an aggressive lobbying campaign to sell the deal in Washington.

Pennsylvania’s Secretary of State and Dominion Voting Machines don’t want cyber and IT experts to investigate their machines in Fulton County. They threaten to decertify the machines if they are investigated. The problem is they already decertified these machines.

We’ve reported on the proposed investigation into Fulton County, Pennsylvania’s voting machines that have been halted by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court due to a request from the Pennsylvania Secretary of State and Dominion Voting Machines. These two entities then provided a nearly 700-page document with their reasons for why the Fulton County investigation should be stopped.

Pennsylvania Senate President Pro Tempore Jacob Corman, III, and Senator Cris Dush stepped in and requested that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court end the corrupt PA Secretary of State’s (SoS’s) emergency application to stay.

The second argument from the Senators (p. 5) is that the SoS believes that she can decertify machines if the voting machines are inspected but these machines have already been decertified by the SoS.

Second, the Secretary makes much of Directive 1 of 2021, whereby the Department of State arrogated to itself the power to control what counties can do with electronic voting machines. But Directive 1, and the supposed problem it is designed to solve, isn’t applicable to Senator Dush’s request. Directive 1 prohibits counties from making their voting machines accessible to third parties for inspection, and provides that violation of a county’s nondisclosure obligation will result in the machine’s decertification – and the Department is absolved of any obligation to reimburse the county for the cost of new machines to replace those that were decertified. That concern is inapplicable to this situation, however. Here, Senator Dush has asked to image the hard drives of already decertified voting machines that will not be used in future elections. Thus, the Secretary’s assertion that Directive 1 justifies overriding Senator Dush’s request for the hard drive images of already inspected and decertified voting machines is of no note

How Comcast Bought the Democratic Party

The communications giant Comcast announced in February that it would buy Time Warner Cable for $45 billion, creating the largest cable provider in America, with more than 33 million customers. That is about one third of the U.S. cable- and satellite-television market. FCC approval is required for the merger to go into effect. Critics of the deal say it would lessen competition and lead to even shoddier customer service. They are probably right, as all of us will soon find out, because there is little chance the merger will be stopped. Comcast, which employs more than 100 lobbyists, spent almost $19 million last year on lobbying activities. Its president and CEO, Brian L. Roberts, is a golf buddy of President Obama’s, and a Democratic donor who has contributed thousands of dollars not only to the president’s campaigns, but also to the Democratic party of Pennsylvania, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the DNC Services Corporation, and to Steny Hoyer, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Bob Casey. Roberts’s executive vice president, David Cohen, is a former aide to Democratic bigwig Ed Rendell. Cohen skirts lobbying regulations through loopholes, has raised more than $2 million for Obama since 2007, and in 2011 hosted a DNC fundraiser at which the president called him “friend.” Cohen has visited the White House 14 times since 2010, including two visits to the Oval Office. He attended the recent dinner for President Hollande of France.

Cohen plays a major role in the Comcast Foundation, which has disbursed more than $3 billion since 2001, primarily to “groups that serve African-Americans, Latinos, and Asians” and other segments of the Democratic coalition. You will be surprised to learn that many of the groups to whom the Comcast Foundation has donated now support the proposed merger. Of the $33 million Comcast has spent on political campaigns since 1989, more than half, or some $18 million, has gone to Democrats. Barack Obama is No. 1 on the list of the top ten recipients of Comcast’s largesse. There are four Republicans on the list.

Comcast’s in-kind contributions to the Democratic party are more difficult to calculate. In a media environment that already tilts leftward, the NBC networks, which Comcast owns, distinguish themselves as especially pro-Obama. Disobedient Media spoke with Greg Bucceroni, a survivor of sex trafficking, who described his experiences in an alleged child sex ring in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s that primarily targeted troubled young boys on the East Coast. The network was said to be comprised of known human traffickers, abusers and producers of child pornography with ties to organized crime who openly associated with prominent political figures, including some who have been accused of indiscretions in the past.

While Bucceroni [pictured below] has been attacked by certain media outlets for his statements in 2012, Disobedient Media’s investigation into his claims found them to be highly credible. Bucceroni’s assertions are corroborated by media reports, emails published by Wikileaks, FBI documentation of mafia activity and testimony from a congressional committee hearing obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests.

Despite Bucceroni’s previous press interviews regarding his claims of abuse, a large portion of what Disobedient Media learned from him has never before been made public. Bucceroni’s story is particularly significant because his allegations reveal the intersection of political clout, organized crime and a systematic abuse of children that transcends political affiliation.

Mr. Bucceroni’s statements to Disobedient Media and other outlets ultimately provide a narrative of vulnerable youth who were sexually targeted by wealthy philanthropists, politicians and organized crime networks, often through charitable institutions.

Disobedient Media is the first outlet to confirm a connection between Bucceroni’s testimony and a nationwide criminal enterprise that trafficked underage sex workers and produced child pornography. This particular network was documented in 1982 by the New York State Select Committee On Crime. The committee’s report covers the time period in which Bucceroni describes being trafficked. After reviewing additional FBI documents, Disobedient Media can validate significant claims made by Bucceroni, and raise serious questions regarding currently active members of the political establishment.
