Boris Johnson news – live: Four key members of prime minister’s staff quit No 10 in single day

Munira Mirza, the prime minister’s director of policy, was the first to quit over the PM’s attempted smear of Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.

In the Commons on Monday, the PM accused Sir Keir – when he was director of public prosecutions – of failing to take action against Savile before the child sex abuser died.

Mr Johnson has since acknowledged that Sir Keir had “nothing to do with” the case, but has refused to apologise.

Hours later, Jack Doyle announced his resignation as No 10’s director of communications – but insisted that he always intended to leave after two years and that his decision was not linked to Ms Mirza’s.

Then two more members of staff – chief of staff Dan Rosenfield and principal private secretary Martin Reynolds – offered their resignations, a No 10 spokesperson.

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors is tied to other charities with spending 'red flags' including Reform LA Jails which paid her consulting firm $205,000 and another $211,000 to friend who co-wrote her memoir

The designation requires the foundation to file public 990 forms, revealing details of its organizational structure, employee compensation, programming and expenses.

In September 2020, Cullors signed documents with Thousand Currents transferring $66.5 million into BLM's accounts.

In February 2021, Black Lives Matter confirmed it took in $90 million throughout 2020, distributed to their partner organizations, and had $60 million remaining in its accounts.

In its report, a snapshot of which was shared with AP, the BLM foundation said individual donations via its main fundraising platform averaged at $30.76 each.

More than 10 percent of the donations were recurring.

The report does not state who gave the money in 2020, and leaders declined to name prominent donors.
